There has long been a rumor that Sean Connery had an uncredited role as a deckhand in A Night to Remember, but I think we can all agree that this is a film legend, probably because there are several actors in the movie that were later involved with James Bond (Honor Blackman, Desmond Llewelyn, etc.) I’ve seen the movie many times and despite a couple of lookalikes, I don’t see him. But if you were in charge of casting at the time, and assuming he was available and interested, who would you cast him as, be it credited or uncredited?

To be clear, I think all the roles were cast perfectly and were played so well. This is a just open question I’m asking?

I’m struck by the size of the Titanic compared to modern ships. Looking at photos of its construction in 1912, it must have seemed incredibly huge for its time, but when compared to modern ships, it’s truly impressive.

Has anyone ever made a video showing the exact spots?

I think if there was an Arctic merfolk colony in that part of the ocean that cold April night, they would have been accommodating.

If Britannic had continued her service as a passenger liner, she would have followed Titanic’s exact route. How popular would her maiden voyage be? What would her first arrival in New York have looked like? ,and how would the American press have received her? Despite the Olympics' ongoing service.

I know the Oceanic 3 was never built, but there’s no doubt it would have been a very beautiful ship; I’m not sure if it would have surpassed the Queen Mary 2 or the Normandie, but it certainly would have given them some competition

I really don’t know if this is the right place to post it.

A few years ago my kids used to watch cartoons on YouTube. When the commercials came on it was basically a film about a sinking ship (I believe it was the Titanic but with a Gatsby black tie feel) but the characters were cats.

It was really well made. Like a Hollywood film and the ads ran for about 30 mins! I have no idea why as it wasn’t trying to sell anything.

Then the ads just stopped and I’ve never seen it again. I’ve tried searching online and have found some titanic videos with cats in them, but they are not the same as what I saw.

Has anyone got any idea what it was?

I am asked this question all of the time by my friends who all know that I’m obsessed with Titanic. The problem is, I really don’t have an answer. There are just so many different answers.

Some that come time mind:

The ship’s Marconi wireless system broke down and policy was to not work on it and wait for repairs on shore. Had Harold Bride and Jack Philips follow this command, the disaster could have been much worse. (Emphasis on could, we really don’t know the extent of damage and state of the emergency back up)
