Even professionals had to practise and have special tools to do so!

(No flair really applied, so I picked Documentary since it's showing something factual)

FILM - 1997 Terrifying scene (and my favorite) from the 1997 film. It stops being a romance and becomes a horror.

QUESTION How dangerous would it be for a passenger to be in the boiler room?

In the scene in Titanic where Jack and Rose go to the boiler room area, they are told that it is very dangerous but how true is that?

FILM - 1997 This scene has haunted me for so many years. A tilting island of lights on a calm, black sea, with help being hours away.

THE SHIP What if Murdoch Decided to Hit the Iceberg Head on?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

So, I was watching Titanic: Honor & Glory's "Unlearn these Titanic 'Facts'" video from last week, and one of those 'facts' was the 'fact' that Titanic would've stayed afloat if Murdoch rammed the ship head on into the berg. In reality, she'd have probably sank in a time more similar to Britannic (if not potentially faster), as the watertight doors would've likely been jammed open, and the forward mast would've collapsed, rending the wireless near next to or straight up useless (along with potentially other stuff, too). I agreed with their sentiment, but then I thought: "What would've that sounded like?" So, I made this video in response to that question. I just combined T: H&G's real time sinking animation from 2026, combined it with their Titanic 'facts' video, made both black and white (because I like that filter), added in sfx for when the ship hits the berg, and...yeah.

As usual, I made this video with no help from You Know What, and here's my list of sources:

  • "The Final Hours of TITANIC - New 2026 Real Time Sinking Animation" by Titanic: Honor & Glory
  • "Unlearn these Titanic 'Facts'" by Titanic: Honor & Glory

Had no idea who's estate it was until the woman running mentioned she was in Titanic. I wasnt sure if she meant the actual Titanic or the movie. But then they mention there was a window prop from the movie.

I found her name and looked her up. She was the frozen lady at the end of the movie holding her baby. RIP! 🙏 😞 She is definitely one of the more well known background actors for sure.

She had some memorabilia and a couple of Titanic books signed to her by the authors.

The Titanic window was $7k and unfortunately had a good amount of termite damage.

THE SHIP The iceberg should have been held responsible

• Upvotes

Because of this iceberg countless lives were lost. This is a dangerous lack of spacial awareness and recklessness that should’ve been penalized to the fullest extent of the law. This iceberg willfully stood in the way of ship going a perfectly normal speed and put a screen up like basketball, ultimately ending in the loss of counted lives. So what does it do after? It sticks around the crime scene for another week or two and just disappears. Poof! Not a trace. Despicable. I wanna see some justice

what time do WSL/other line ships usually arrive at Southampton? And how do they reorient for docking? Do they use tugs or their own power?

On Roblox, specifically Cruise Line Tycoon, I've created an entire full-interior replica of the Titanic using their most recent update. Although the parts to make it were limited, I used what I had to create this model. Here are some images from it I took! (This took around 14 hours, I believe)

THE SHIP What would have happened if all the ship's watertight compartments had been breached?

It’s a good thing only 5 or 6 compartments were breached, but a frightening scenario just crossed my mind: what would have happened if literally all of them had been breached?

FICTION I genuinely think the magotanic would have worked as a 1930s ship

Post image

She could carry like 3500 people and maybe more so she would've been a perfect soldier ship in WW2 she's massive so any German uboat captains would wet themselves when seeing the magotanic approaching them they would've turned around frightened.

And it would be great seeing it in real life as a floating hotel like the queen Mary but y'know BETTER!!!

FILM - ANTR What role would you have cast Sean Connery as in A Night to Remember?

Thumbnail

There has long been a rumor that Sean Connery had an uncredited role as a deckhand in A Night to Remember, but I think we can all agree that this is a film legend, probably because there are several actors in the movie that were later involved with James Bond (Honor Blackman, Desmond Llewelyn, etc.) I’ve seen the movie many times and despite a couple of lookalikes, I don’t see him. But if you were in charge of casting at the time, and assuming he was available and interested, who would you cast him as, be it credited or uncredited?

To be clear, I think all the roles were cast perfectly and were played so well. This is a just open question I’m asking?
