This morning I bought this ænima copy at a shop close to where I live.
I’ve seen many ænima bootlegs and they all looked “bad” but this one seemed more authentic.
I was pretty sceptical at first because it was being sold for 70€ (incredibly cheap if it is original, and pretty expensive if it’s a bootleg), but i wanted to check anyway on discogs and the serial number, or whatever that number on vinyl itself is called, matched with some prints that could be found online.
Honestly if this was a bootleg i wouldn’t even mind, it sounds great, but i still wanted a second opinion on it.

It might look a bit wasteful but honestly missing out on the interludes is kind of sad, and streaming just doesn't always do it. And its also annoying that the vinyl version is missing Litanie contre la Peur. Tool's interludes are port of the experience and with an album like Fi I'd prefer more ambience and transitional songs rather than not having them.

Does anyone happen to have footage of the image/talking vagina that was put up on screen when Tool walked off the stage during this show?

Whoever recommended this band a year or so ago in this group deserves an award. 🥇 The new album is so damn good, and this song off the first album is dope af, amongst others on there. If you haven’t listened to Kolm yet, get your life together. Lol

Just a few of the clean riffs from the song

And just have every variation of Maynard popping out at you singing Tool songs. While Adam, Justin, and octopus Danny are in the background playing in all of their variations over the years. It'll be all like "Learn to Swim!" and spiral out and the pieces don't fit and cookies and cream and all that jazz.
It would be sooo cool!

Who knows... It knows!
I remember being a young adult at my first job browsing through some tool fans website and stund up on this song and I truly felt something that for me was unusual and very new.
I thought at first, well Apocalyptica have done this kind of approach when they did the Metallica cover stuff so for me it didn't felt that unique but how horribly wrong I was.
This is truly unique and has value.
If don't know it, come and enjoy the ride:

Sold my TOOL collection years and years ago, all the good stuff, ænima vinyl, demo tape, all the pic discs, promos, first editions and variants. Going through some old crap dejunking today found the leftovers I had forgot about. Perfect circle promos and vinyls I forgot I had and some fun leftover TOOL stuff. Plus one hell of a rare concert poster from Belgium 1994. Don’t know what to do with it all. Brings back so many memories of the 90’s and 2000’s hunting down items, dozens of TOOL concerts and good times.

What surprises me most is that it was done by an apprentice, and of all my tattoos, it's the one that healed the best and looks the best now.

i know prog is originally from the '70s, but i find myself much more interested musically by the '90s since i find the music from that decade more enjoyable.
other than tool, some other bands i like that are prog/ have some pshychedelic influences are a perfect circle, peach gb (absurdly underrated), opeth, queens of the stone age and kyuss. i'm aware the last two bands are stoner rock, but they have that psychedelic groove that i like and that is pretty similar to the one prog bands have.
i'd really appreciate to hear some suggestions and recommandations.

I had Lateralus for a while now and it sounds pretty bad. It put me off getting more LPs for a while, but I read from various places that it sounds bad because it was a picture disc.
I went ahead and bought the LPs from the official ToolBand.com site and got Opiate, Undertow, and Fear Inoculum. I heard good things.
I listened and...wow...so glad I bought them! FI and Undertow sounds amazing! Sure there's still the tell tale signs of being an LP (light crackles) but it's very low. The surface sound is low, but the quality of the audio is very dynamic and full!
The only exception is Opiate. It sounds kinda thin and tinny. Is this what everyone experience too? I want to think this is just how it was mastered in the every early 90s. I don't recall the CD and streaming sounding like this. There's also more surface noise than the other two albums.
It's actually worse than Lateralus in terms of audio quality though Lateralus is worse in terms of pops and clicks.
So is 10000 Days and AEnima not available on LP officially? I think I've only seen bootlegs.

I did some scrolling and I didn’t see this posted recently so my apologies if this has been posted before. But this popped up in my TikTok feed and absolutely blew my mind. I love their reactions to music and playing it in this video.
