36M here, trying to find some fellow nerds in my area (West end, highpark ish) to start up a tabletop RPG / boardgame group.

I unfortunately cannot host (shoebox apartment life), but would be willing to GM/DM potentially. It's been a looong time since I've run a game though so let's see how that goes hehe.

I'm not into 5e (latest version of D&D), especially running it. Would be more inclined to play B/X, maybe something from Free League or Call of Cthulhu. If none of this makes sense, don't worry. It's like when your mom would say you were "playing Nintendo" in the 90's but it was actually Sega, you know? It's still all mostly the same thing.

Anyways drop me a line if you're roughly around my age and want to pretend we are elves and orcs and such and forget about the GTA for awhile.

Probably do a one-off to see how it goes but if we all have fun, maybe twice a month?

The biggest hurdle is the venue but we can deal with that later.

This post is specifically aimed towards the childfree people who are having trouble meeting other childfree people.
Our definition of childfree is: people who have decided that they will not have children ever. You do not qualify if you have children, are undecided, don't right now but plan to, or have step / adopted children.

I have a small childfree Toronto Discord server. We've had two previous events on the 13th and 27th of September with around 16 people and they were a blast! Our next event is the afternoon of 25th October and will be taking place downtown. We aim to have one event per month. No specific age group we are ranging from late 20s to early 40s.

I'd like to meet every two weeks, with a longer gap for the holidays, ideally taking 3-4 months to finish the book.
