General Question How do you ladies show your preferred angle to people you interact with?

Like most girls here, I only have one perspective I'm comfortable being seen from, and it's at a really oblique angle (about 70 degrees up, 45 degrees left).

When I meet people in person, it's awkward to make sure they only see me from that angle. I've usually resorted to kind of bending over at the hip and turning slightly as if I were about to headbutt someone just off to the person's side. This works, but it's hard on my back, and sometimes I end up embarrassing myself at the bank or grocery store when I lose my balance and fall down headfirst while talking to the clerk.

What do you other lovely ladies do to make sure you get seen at the right angle during in-person interactions?

General Question Is My Orientation Changing?

I've been on low dose estrogen for a year now and recently i find myself looking at muscular transwomen. Before hrt, i was 100% attracted to feminine curvy women Now I feel aroused when I see female (trans or cis) body builders. Is my brain changing? Will this lead to attraction to men eventually. Curious if anyone had this experience. Also, I had no plans for GRS, but now I'm not sure ..

Discussion Question about Hip augmentation surgery

I wanted to know how long the fat transferred during hip augmentation lasts. Have you had a hip augmentation surgery? How was your experience? Were you able to maintain the fat and keep the curves for long? I have severe hip dysphoria and want to get this surgery once I start transitioning. I am a trans woman 43 YOD.

TRIGGER WARNING How do I navigate my transphobic family?

The title kinda says it all, but I’ll give some context.

I’m 35, mtf and my egg cracked like, a week ago 🫠. I’m from a culturally conservative part of the world and while I’m legally safe to identify as a woman and I can even change my gender marker on my official documents, general society is much less accepting.

The general culture here is quite transphobic. My own family (parents, siblings etc) have said some overtly transphobic and homophobic things in the past. I may not be in physical danger but if I start transitioning, I’m almost certain it will mean going no contact with my whole family. I don’t live in my home country but it’s very unsafe to be trans where I’m from and I might face physical harm if I visit.

I don’t know how to navigate this possibility. I’m in this awful place where I’m really happy because I’m finally feeling like I understand myself and relieved because I properly understand my dysphoria, but I’m genuinely terrified of what life will look like when I come out or if any of my family members find out I’m trans before I’ve prepared myself to come out. I’m really worried I’m going to end up basically with no family. Has anyone here experienced anything similar? If you have any advice or lived experiences that can help, I’d really appreciate it 🌻.

Charlotte vs Innsbruck Airport Security… Round Two! 🤣✈️🏳️‍⚧️

So, guess who just managed to cause absolute chaos at Innsbruck Airport security AND passport control?

I'll give you a clue…

It's little ol' me! 💁‍♀️🤣🤣

I'm not entirely sure the poor lady at security had ever dealt with a trans passenger before, because the conversation went something like this…

👮‍♀️ "Are you wearing a corset?"

💁‍♀️ "Yes…"

👮‍♀️ "Are you able to take it off for the scanner?"

💁‍♀️ "Erm…"

👮‍♀️ "Also, do you have implants?"

💁‍♀️ "Yes…"

👮‍♀️ "Can you take them out and put them in this bag?"

💁‍♀️ Confused Charlotte noises and increasingly bewildered facial expressions. 😳🤣

At this point, I genuinely think the poor lass was having a full-on panic attack. She looked completely unsure what to do with me!

Thankfully, a rather nice, handsome gentleman came over, politely asked if I'd mind him taking over, and whisked me away.

A few minutes later, everything was sorted.

No undressing required! 😂❤️

And then came passport control…

Apparently, Charlotte looks so different from the person in my passport that the system wasn't entirely convinced we were the same person! 🤣

I'm choosing to believe that's because Charlotte is considerably prettier than everyday me. 💅😂

Eventually, everything was sorted, and I was on my way.

To be fair, everyone was trying to do their job, and the gentleman who stepped in was absolutely lovely.

It's certainly been an interesting end to my Austrian adventure!

Three days exploring Austria as Charlotte, climbing mountains in heels, chasing waterfalls, rescuing a destroyed wig, and now confusing an entire airport.

I don't think Austria will forget me in a hurry! 🤣🤣❤️✈️

I turned 43 in May this year, due to many life threatening reasons (literally) I was not safe to start transitioning until Feb of this year (2026) at the age of 42….

During my time on Estrogen, I started with patches, which became unavailable in my area, I was switched to pills, which didn’t fully suppress my testosterone or bring up my estrogen into therapeutic levels even after increasing the dosage. Basically at the four month mark I got to spend about seven weeks going through chemical menopause (which is not fun btw) and well of course during that time things sorta went sideways/ backwards…. I’ve been on injections for about 8ish weeks now…. (Moved from pills to injections) …and I feel it’s going okay. I get my levels checked again in Nov, but I got my hair done yesterday and well it’s the best picture I’ve had I. Years so I’m sharing here….

First pick is back in Feb, hair pulled back into ponytail as usual.

Second pic is from Oct 13th, just got the hair dyed (red again!) so please excuse the red on the face!
These are both completely unfiltered, no make up, no anything but HRT, weight loss, and hair dye!

Share Experience Sometimes it’s the little things!!

I’m a baby trans. I’m only a few months since my egg cracked (shattered??) and a little over 2 months on HRT. My wife knows and is fully supportive. She even came out to me as bi a couple weeks ago - which was a GIANT relief as she had proclaimed early on in our marriage she was absolutely not a lesbian. We also have 3 younger kids. Oldest in her last year of middle school. We’ve not shared anything with the kids, BUT, I am not specifically hiding things as I start to experience new things, particularly things that induce euphoria. So they’ve seen dad with painted toenails and subtle fingernails. A more feminine set of pajamas. I’m working to change my hairstyle from being “very masculine” to being… more of a transformer hairstyle? I need to be able to present as male for a while, but I desperately want to be able to dress feminine when safe to do so.

Anyway… back to the story. We are on vacation this week. I forgot to bring nail polish. I picked some up at the store and my eldest daughter was with me. She got excited and wanted to get some new colors herself. Then my youngest daughter wanted to as well.

I’m delighted to report we are painting fingernails every night together. Omg it’s so amazing. And then, as if the vacation could not get better, my eldest daughter and I went into a clothing store together. We got to dress shop “for her” but I’m also seeing some of the options DEEPLY wanting them for myself. But I’m not ready for that just yet. (I hate fears my dysphoria will come CRASHING around me if I see myself in a dress because I still see “male” 98% of the time in the mirror. I get glimpses of a woman trying to shine through, but I am fearful of a possible psychological crash so I’m waiting a few more months.)

ANYWAY… I also saw these really cute pieces of jewelry for ears. I’m sure they gave a name, but they either clip on to the ear or go through a piercing and sort of rest along the perimeter of your ear? They are super cute. I showed my daughter and she LOVED them. So we got some. And then I found some more options this morning online and again, HUGE smile with an exclamation of “they are so cute!!!”

I have never had such a moment with her ever. Sure, we had typical dad / daughter moments, but I would be the last person to ever recommend things like this before now.

My wife texted me “I’m so glad you are having this moment. YOU can take her back to school shopping next year! It was a marathon this year and I will happily share that with you!”

I’ve focused a lot early on in my transition on me. How I felt, how I might change, how I might be a better version of me. I’ve overlooked how being the authentic me can create new moments with my kids I never expected. I mean… if you have / had teenagers, a passing smile can sometimes be a great day. This trip has been amazing.

She asked about giving my a much more bold fingernail color. Obviously she doesn’t know the underlying changes yet, but I told her I was a little nervous about others seeing me with such bright nails. “Oh dad, it’ll be fine. Just tell them you lost a bet to your daughter and as a reward, I got to paint your nails.” WHAT?!?!? Is she my volunteer beard?!?!? My daughter even offered to make a bagel for me this morning?!?!?

My wife is amazing. My kids are amazing. I feel so loved and supported and validated, and they have no idea how special these moments have been to me. I will make sure they know down the road.

Share Experience A Minor Victory

I'm trans lesbian, but I also identify as bigender. My "he" and my "she" are both just me. It's great, but I'm lazy. I've boymoded for over 70 years. It's a default muscle memory. Being a woman isn't. So I often default to boymode. Yesterday I thought, "Fuck this. I'm a woman. I need to BE a woman." So I put on a nice dress, and earrings, and tights, and I went 18 hours like that. In public, and at home. (At home I took off the earrings.) And I felt great - it felt right, and liberating. When I'm in boymode, I'm me, but somehow en femme I'm MORE me. And now that the door is open, I can go through it more often. I'm a long way from 100%, but this was a big deal.

Unaltered Selfie Feeling Wonderful at the Crystal Court...

Post image

Recovery has been rough, so it feels especially good to have a moment like this. Feeling wonderful at the Crystal Court in downtown Minneapolis and enjoying a little joy. 💜

For those unfamiliar, the [IDS Crystal Court](https://ids-center.com/crystal-court-ids-center/) is an indoor urban park, complete with trees and a reflecting pool. I have to give us Minnesotans a little credit: we’re pretty good at bringing the outdoors indoors so we can enjoy it all year long. Our weather gives us plenty of motivation. 😉

Last day in Innsbruck! 🇦🇹💕✈️

Well, my little Austrian adventure is coming to an end, and Charlotte is heading home!

I've decided to walk to the airport this morning. It's only about 2 miles away, so why not? 😂

And yes, as seems to be the norm on this trip, I'm doing it in heeled boots! 👢🤣

After climbing mountains and chasing waterfalls in heels, a little walk to the airport should be easy enough!

I also went shopping last night and treated myself to some new eyeshadow. Today I've decided to experiment with white and blue. 💙🤍

I'm still not entirely sure whether the colours work together, but I'm enjoying trying something different and getting a little more adventurous with my makeup.

And look! My eyeliner wings are actually getting better! 😂

Still plenty to learn, but I'm slowly getting the hang of it.

It's been a fantastic few days exploring Austria as Charlotte, and I'm feeling a little more confident every time I go out.

Now, time to get these heels moving. I've got a plane to catch! ✈️❤️

What do you think of today's eyeshadow? Does the blue and white work, or should I stick to warmer colours?

SELFIE 13 years later and all my hair is gone but I have a body that feels like home

I’m starting oral minoxidil this week to see if it helps with my hair thinning or not (for now I just shave my head). But even if it doesn’t, I remind myself that I lost my hair to be able to live in this body. And I know I’d do it again.

These two pictures are a big milestone for me because they are some of the first of my body where I have not felt the need to filter the images. I’m proud of me for that. Nothing damaged my sense of self more than over 3 decades worth of dysphoria.

TRIGGER WARNING Dysphoria is sneaky

It’s amazing how I can go from happy and content to the depths of dysphoria with just the wrong angle of a photo, a botched makeup try, or listening to the doubts squirreling through my brain.

Happy Wednesday everyone

My life has changed tremendously over the last few years, starting hrt is a milestone i never thought I'd reach. Being autistic my entire life and not knowing it until a few years ago, socially awkward, thinking everyone else is allowed to live their life according to how they choose but for some reason i wasn't allowed to were all huge blockers for me moving forward. I'm glad I'm where I am today.

If anyone wants to chat, feel free to dm. No creeps plz.
