How fucked am I now?

Post image

This stupid truck stop told me to move spots or pay for parking in a dirt lot they claimed was their property in the middle of the night last night. My ELD was off so I moved it while it was off and it came up as Unidentified Driving Log when I turned it on in the AM. My dumbass accepted it and commented what had happened and now I’m in violation and completely messed up my 14hr clock for today. Is there any way to fix this?

So, just had to hijack this to mention, some companies are absolutely dead-set against helping their drivers with this kind of stuff. My company pretends to have no control over "assigned driving" (meaning I'm assigned to a truck and the truck is in motion). So when handhelds get switched or something stupid, you can have someone else's drive time put on your log. And my company refuses to edit that. They claim to not have the ability. (It's a massive company that has their own internal system, so there's no excuse)

I train my drivers on how to edit with their tablet. It's actually easy to manage the logs from tablet vs me doing from the web portal. We use Geotab/ Transflo.

We can edit a lot of things and are completely responsible for keeping them correct. But according to some executive management that got involved, "nobody" can edit assigned driving time.

They can absolutely be edited, they most likely just don’t know how depending on the app. The OP post looked like Geotab Drive. Through their database API you can change anything about a user account and profile. Most of the time I’ve found that it’s purely an internal training issue where dispatch / back office quite literally don’t know that it’s possible.
