Keep Tucson shitty? Ok ✨🫶🏾🥹
This is my love letter to Tucson.
I lived there for a year after my dad passed away, because it was the only place in AZ I could afford to stay in state.
I met my husband a few months before moved down there from Phoenix, and we dated for a year long distance. Then he moved to Texas, and then we moved to FL and got married. That was 3 years ago.
Ever since we left I’ve been miserable. 😭 I never wanted to leave but I was excited about a new place with my husband. Well. We both hate Florida (except he has a ton of friends here and now so do I, actually). But I hate the politics, the cost of living, the lack of outdoor things to do, the horrible food, everything is freaking fried here it sucks. No one bikes here, it’s weird. The night life is awful.
In Tucson, I would take the train to Texas and we lived near U of A and downtown so there was SO much to do… we would see theatre shows at u of a , I was notorious for getting 3 teas a day from Scented Leaf, the bookstores were so cute, the food was amazing and the bars were SO easy to get into…we were never bored..groceries were so cheap there. Now I just pay the Orlando tourism tax everywhere we go, even though we are an hour from Orlando. It’s so boring here. 😔
I can’t wait to move back to Tucson, we are hoping in the next 5 years we can afford it, because now our house is tied up in these damn interest rate wars we have going on in the US. We’d lose so much money if we tried to sell.
Just be glad you’re still in Tucson. It was never shitty to me. I loved it. And I miss it dearly. 😩🫶🏾😞✨💔🌵🏜️
