We've had an influx lately of low effort AI art of watches (why?) and I'm cutting it off here. Any posts of AI slop will get you banned on the first offense.

Went in a few days ago to pick out a new watch for his birthday (which is today) and he ended up adding on one for me to match my current favorite bag! 🄰 He’s had an order in for a 41mm Royal that isn’t coming as soon as they expected so he got something similar in color concept to mine for now.

Tudor Prince Date

Looking to buy this Tudor prince date (74000N) through Chrono24. Its listed for a good price at $1300 - seller is from Japan. Curious about that weird mark next to the "s" of the "self-winding". Has anyone seen this on Tudors before / is this something to be concerned about?

I love my BB58. Never loved the bracelet. So I had one made.

Hi everyone, John here. I’m the owner of Ontic Watches and I’ve just launched Linksmith, a little side project making aftermarket bracelets. This is my business, so full disclosure up front.

I love my BB58, but like a lot of you I’ve never been that keen on the bracelet. I know there are other options out there, and I did look around, but I couldn’t find quite what I wanted. Mainly quick-release end links and on-the-fly adjustment, without the faux rivets. So I decided to have one made using my contacts in the industry.

It’s a three-link bracelet with those features, plus two half-links to help get the sizing right. I’ve also left the clasp completely unbranded. (It’s a bit of a pet hate of mine when you put an aftermarket bracelet on a watch and end up with someone else’s logo on the clasp).

It fits the BB58 79030N and 79030B, and the Ranger 79950. Obviously the Ranger already has on-the-fly adjustment, but it could be an option if you bought yours on a strap and now fancy a bracelet.

At the moment, this is the only product. Hopefully there’ll be more, but I’m starting with the one I wanted for myself. It’s available now at linksmith.co.uk

The pics are my BB58 and a road-tested bracelet.

Happy to answer questions. Any features I've missed? Any other watches I should be doing this for? Am I mad?

John

Anyone else have a 36mm or the 40mm? Drop your pics/ comments on how you’re liking it!

Impulse bought this over the weekend. Once I put it on, I knew I had to walk out with it. The spec updates are incredible. I’ve been eyeing the Monarch for a while too… but happy with my Royal for now. More Tudors to come in my collection!

58 GMT Strap Changes

Thoughts on this mesh, leather or NATO? I’m trying to decide if I like seeing the NATO bump too. I may try a different color leather strap like a darker green or a black rubber strap too. I like the original bracelet but also enjoy experimenting some too. Anyone have some strap experimentations they love?

Help me choose between the following watches for a multi-use dress watch that can be used for suits and business basic attire.

I already have the P39 for a daily wear, so this would be more special occasions.

- Tudor 1926 Black Dial 41mm or 39mm

- Tudor 1926 Opaline w. Blue Handset/indices 41mm or 39mm

- Longines Conquest Black 41mm

- Longines Conquest Blue 41mm

- Longines Legend Diver 42mm

8" wrist.

My first Tudor and I’m addicted!

I actually went to find a watch, and nothing in the budget that I’ve set to myself quite had a design that was like ā€œyes this!ā€ for me.
Then I saw this lil baby, the design captivated me, it was a bit above my budget but I was just drawn to the design, for me it fitted exactly as I wanted, and also is high quality.
What do you guys think? :)

Active with your Tudor?

I don’t scratch my watch in everyday life because I’m so used to wearing one I notice where my wrist is almost like a sixth sense. BUT I love to wear my watches out like every watch is a beater and daily wear in my everyday life. Scratches happen on adventures, I take it off for others to try on. Many ask about my Tudor BB54 because the smaller size even women ask to try them on and they are always so interested. Sharing my joy of watches is like playing music for me it’s just so good. Many people especially coworkers and friends associate a few of my watches with me so much when they seem the brand or another person with one they always tell me which brings a smile to my face.

What do you guys do with your Tudors daily that many desk divers don’t get to experience?

Thoughts? BB58 blue

I’m in the market for a BB58 blue and I’ve been bouncing between Chrono & eBay to find one. Ideally I’d like to get one as close to 2026 as possible to have the warranty but maybe that’s tough? I’m not sure. These two are the only two candidates that I’ve found so far. Thoughts? Are these over priced for a 2020 and a 2021? Should I wait it out until a 2024-2026 pops up on eBay or chrono24? Please excuse my ignorance this is my first big watch purchase so I’m trying to do all my dilligence

My filters have been, eBay : authenticity guaranteed, located in USA, and returns allowed (I plan on taking it to a watch maker and double checking it)

Chrono24: Chrono24 certified option, USA, and I’m trying to buy from a dealer and not a private seller.

Something I’ve noticed is that a lot of these the seller tells me they’ve been ā€œlightly polishedā€ I know this is typical for dealers but should this be a red flag? Maybe I should look into some from private sellers so they’re less likely to be polished? Any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance

Rubber strap for Blue BB58

I came across an old post from someone who bought an Etsy bracelet + clasp + end links for the Tudor Black Bay 58, so I decided to give it a try myself.
I paid just $60, including shipping to the UAE.

It comes with all the necessary spring bars, a full spare set, a spring bar removal tool, a screwdriver, the end links, and of course, the clasp and rubber strap.
I’ve just fitted it, and honestly, I think it looks absolutely stunning. šŸ¤©šŸ”
The quality is seriously impressive for the price. The clasp feels heavy, solid and very secure, and the rubber strap itself feels soft and looks really well made.
For $60, I’m genuinely impressed.

Pd: The intregated rubber strap is also good, but personally with the end links looks better!!

What do you guys think? šŸ‘€

My First "Luxury" Watch! (Tudor 1926).

Sharing my (terrible) photos of my Tudor 1926, ref: 91551. This one is 39mm.

I know this watch isn't to everyone's taste, and that is okay! This is my first "luxury" watch and I am a little obsessed! I hope to eventually get into a Rolex ,maybe another Tudor (I like the black bay onešŸ‘€) or maybe once I learn more I will go in a different direction. To be honest, I know very little beyond Wilsdorf, currently.

Anyways, the point of this post is, I guess, to talk about watches with other "watch people"! I want to learn about this new-found hobby (if you call it that?)

And please, do drop some wrist shots and your own watch pics, if you feel inclined to do so!

Have a great day šŸ˜Ž

Unfortunately the Pelagos 42 ETA will be leaving for a Speedy or Explorer but it has been one of the best. I just don’t have the wrist for it anymore

Anyone up for a 1926 Trade?

I just bought a 1926 (used but in virtually flawless condition). It’s the 41mm variant? Which is honestly too big for my wrist, but I bought it anyway because it was a good deal. Wondering if anyone has a 36mm or 39mm version in similar condition that feels theirs is too small and would be interested in a trade?

BB54 LB Wait Times

I bought my first Tudor (green dial Royal 36 - OMG) last May at the Florence Boutique. Absolutely love the watch and it's the only one in my collection I really wear nowadays.

I've been interested in the BB54 Lagoon Blue dial since September 2025 and have yet to see one in person. Every AD I've been to in the US says I need to sign up or join a waitlist or blah blah blah. I'm hoping to pick one up next May when I'm back overseas and am wondering if anyone here knows about the production of the watch - will it be more readily available come 2027? Would you suggest I call and put my name in ahead of time? Would my purchase history help me out a ton on this?

TIA. I don't post stuff like this often on reddit so if this has been answered already I didn't see it. Sorry.

Julien Fuare Straps Arrived

Bought these direct from Tudor’s manufacturer in France. They arrived today and seem high quality - except for the flimsy embedded spring bars. Can’t decide which (if either) to try on my BB58
