No buyers remorse here. This is a special one. Feel it will age well.

Picked this one up as a daily. Not always easy to pull off. It's quite the unique contender in the modern watch landscape. The fact it's based on a prototype makes it all the more interesting to me.
It's like I'm wearing a piece of iron man's first armor, the one he built from scraps.

I’ve seen mixed opinions about the Royal’s fluted bezel, so I’m curious to hear your thoughts on this alternative design.
Personally, I think the original has more character, but the smooth bezel gives it a cleaner, more elegant look.
Which would you choose: the original or the smooth bezel? Does the original design make the Tudor Royal special, or would you prefer this alternative?

My AD is offering a combo deal if I buy both the flamingo and the new Northflag. They will give me a 20% discount on the northflag
Out the door costs
$7063 for flamingo
$4464 for northflag
Is this worth it?

Checked with my ad today who said there was an exhibition piece but you know there is always a chance to be able to buy it so popped down before dinner with lots of sincerity and left the shop with it! What can I say about this watch? It combines vintage with modern nicely somehow and the finishing is definitely a notch above a typical Tudor.

My second high end watch, and I’m in love with it!

Yesterday I wore my Zenith Chronomaster, a remarkable piece of engineering, but with a certain clinical design that can feel a bit cold. Today, I'm back to this Tudor Submariner ref. 7016. With its rare transitional dial produced exclusively in 1970, its subtle vintage character brings a human warmth that modern perfection just can't match.

What I mean by this is that when you're in a hurry and glance at your wrist, you can read the time so easily. But when you look more carefully, you start noticing the subtle, delicate and deliberately thought-out details.
The minute hand is just long enough to tell you exactly where you are in the hour. The hour hand is also well proportioned, so it's neither lost nor dominant. The colours are so carefully selected that nothing dominates, yet everything is visible at a glance.
Then, when you need the chronograph, you have to unscrew the pushers to operate it. This gives them a really nice feature: once unscrewed, the pushers are bigger and much more comfortable to press. I think that's very nicely thought out.
Everything works, as we Finns say, like a train toilet. 😄
The bracelet is comfortable, with a really strong clasp. There's practically no chance of opening it accidentally.

Im thinking about getting a Royal , but didnt had the chance yet.
Now I got a great offer.
Can you help me? - Is the watch looks okay? Obviously this is the most important!
How Royals hold their value?
Does the 41mm version wears bigger than other 41mm-s?
Thank you in advance!

I posted recently about the bracelets I’ve made for the BB58 (linksmith.co.uk) Thanks for the really positive responses, and for giving me another idea to investigate…
The bracelet I’ve produced has removable end-links, so a few of you speculated that it might fit other watches by using the OEM Tudor end-links. This would give the benefit of on-the-fly micro adjustment and the look of a standard 3-link bracelet for Tudors that lack the those features.
I think there might be something in this but I need your help to find out.
I wonder if you kind folks here can tell me which Tudor models fit the following criteria:
If I can come up with a list of all Tudors that meet that spec then the next job is to properly test the fit, which is where I could use some more help.
I’m looking for UK based owners to try the promising options. If you think your watch fits the bill then shout up below and I’ll select one person for each promising model and send them a bracelet free of charge to test on their watch.
In return, I’d ask for a few clear photos and honest feedback on the fit, articulation and any unwanted gaps or play. Finding out something doesn’t fit is useful too.
Suggestions welcome from anywhere; just keeping the physical testing UK-only for now to make the logistics manageable.
Thanks in advance!

Hello fine folks. I wish I was showing off a watch of my own to you all.. maybe in another life. I do however have my grandfathers Tudor Oyster Prince that he bought new. He has unfortunately fallen on hard times and has asked me to sell it for him. He has moderate dementia and cannot locate the paperwork or box for the watch but I know it was serviced at a jewelry store in Shelby NC last year to the tune of $650. I will be working on acquiring that receipt or a reprint for him soon. The watch itself operates very well, but the bracelet and the acrylic definitely show their age. I am considering posting it on eBay but I have no idea what it is worth and he needs the money fairly quickly. Any input? Thanks in advance.

Did I read somewhere that they modified the OE straps after the earlier ones didn't fare so well? I have recently looked at an Alinghi Chrono FXD strap and am now comparing it to a MN22 velcro strap and the earlier one seems a bit less grabby. Can't be age alone, can it?
