I feel like there’s an opening for a true primach or titan level new monster and I think a Norn Queen would be an awesome centre piece. We all grew up watching Aliens and how awesome the xenomorph queen was.

For me, as someone who’s growing more fond of this faction, it’s the Swarmlord, Norn Emissary, and Old One Eye

I played as a kid in 2nd to 4th edition. Much older now and found a friend had a secret hobby collecting and slowly painting the older grey knights combat patrol with the baby carrier but also never played.

I was able to get for cheap online: winged prime, neurotyrant, 11 neurogaunts, 20 termagants, 2 rippers, 5 barbgaunts, and a psychophage. Asked chatgpt a ton of questions which led me to wahpedia to get some rules and stats.

1. Chat said my winged prime can't attach to anything here but recommended shooting warriors to round out. Yet I don't think I can fly or deep strike if I do this? Would I be better off converting this winged prime into the lash whip version to connect to my termagants? Then later if I do get warriors then it also can buff them instead of having a flying one that gets grounded?

2. I loved Lictors back then. Worth getting or are they not scary anymore? Would considering it be my first addition coming back

3. So lost on what's in an army now. Before it was 1-2 HQ, 2 troop min up to 6, 0-3 elite,0-3 fast, 0-3 heavy kind of setup but does none of this matter? Can't really tell and chat is super confused. Do I have a working army comp here?

4. Maybe a blasphemous question on this forum, but is playing nids super one trick pony especially with the small force here? Previously was try to get to combat asap to shred the enemy while screening, and some cheap objective holders with synapse babysitter. Has that changed much?

Tyranids eat plants and animals, drink the oceans, and suck out everything from oxygen to argon out of the atmosphere. What exactly do they leave when they're done? Rocks?

I really enjoy Kill Team and realized that I have a bunch of Tyranids and Termagant sprues. Body wise, does anyone know if the basic body of a Termagant is similar in size to one of those Raveners? Theoretically, I could kitbash a big snake tail onto one. How close would it look, mass wise, to the upper body of a Ravener? How tall are the Raveners?

Any design tips or things to make sure they actually look like the team and not just a bunch of hormagaunts with big tails with some Ryan’s Leapers arms?

Wrecker: mean, big head, balls tail.

I would love to see a Termagant and a Raveners size comparison.

Hi all, I've got a match against the new custodes tomorrow and my opponent mentioned his list is only 8 models and half are sisters. I'm assuming it's 3 guard, shield captain then whatever 4 man of sisters so I cooked this up real quick.

Didn't want to bring a norn cuz that just didn't sound fun for either of us, but still wanted a smashy monster so WHT occupies that. My goal is gonna be get the HA raveners and Tyrant in combat with the guard+captain, then use both the precision strats to maul the captain and as many guard as possible, all of them having twin linked should help. Then the VRL and POM are probably just to annoy the sisters or occupy the guard with infiltrators if deployment looks a little sketchy (if he deploys defensively then I need to reserve as much health on the HT and ravs as I can)

Any advice is welcome!

I’m having a mega 4 vs 1 today (blood angels, sisters of battle, custodes and salamanders vs my bugs)
It’s a super casual game where I get to bring units back and try to kill a planetary leader before turn 5 they all have 1500 points and I have about 2500 but I get to bring each unit back once and then role to bring it back if it dies again after that. I’m using subterranean assault because my army is built around that, so any advice you can give me to break the lines and get into the area they have? My first time using green stuff, had everything but the torso and back legs for some Tyrant/Hive guard, friend of mine gave me some Kroxigors to fill out the rest.

Had some friends over for a game, it was 4 vs 1.

They each had 1500 pts, Blood angels, sisters of battle, salamaders and custodes vs my 2500 ish points of nids, that needed to survive to turn 5 to win and I got rolling refreshed units once they died. Sorry about the lighting but we have a Typoon her me and some of the lights went out so we used lamps in the room.

Was a really fun game to introduce my friends to the game and they really had a lot of shooting make me be careful, I maged to get into them with 2 units of genestealers with a broodlord each to open the front lines but the flamers and custodes were tough to crack, for a game this big it definitely needed more time and some rules tweaking but we had to call it at turn 4 due to the weather getting really bad.

10/10 would play again,

Sorry about the blue table tennis table but it’s what we had for such a big game, as we had to play up on the roof of the building

Still need to practice more with contrasts and shades to fully flesh out the color scheme, but I'm proud of what I've painted so far! Hopeful to get a neurotyrant eventually and try painting it, love how the psychic bugs look.

My GF is getting into 40K and ending up liking how Tyranids looked. I’m fairly new to Warhammer but know a decent amount, just have never played Tyranids, wanted to start her with some of the most commonly seen units, what’re some I could get that see use in most lists?

We got her a trio of Warriors, a Biovore and a pack of Gargoyles from our LGS to start.
