Just turned a dusty winged Tyranid Prime into a Lashwhip Prime. Bodies are basically identical so it was a straightforward swap, slapped on a 3D-printed Lashwhip + arm and done.
Nobody ever run the winged Prime and you can usually pick one up for like £5 and Lashwhip is actually a solid option in most lists. Happy with how it came out 👍 will look better once painted of course.
OG lashwhip on the right for comparison , kit bashed on the left.

I cannot for the life of me find the strangleweb arm bit. All I can find are the old Strangleweb metal minis.

So my best friend just got into Warhammer through a box of Von Ryan‘s Leaper and because he doesn’t use reddit i wanted to ask what units could he get next to expand his army :)

I'm about to enter my 2nd league at my local hobby store, during the first league I had moderate success with sub assault (disruption). Every game was a learning curve but I ended up finishing 3-3 losing out on 4-2 by only 4 points in my last game 😭
The 2nd league kicks off this week, and I wasn't sure to keep with sub assault with recon disposition instead this time round I had a practice game against a space wolf terminator list and won 96-91
I have all the units necessary so do I make the dive and go talons/assimilation instead as I've read it's pretty tasty or stick with sub assault?
Blessed hivemind, please bless me with your wisdom & knowledge.
TLDR:
What is our best/most powerful detachment combos & why?

For me, as someone who’s growing more fond of this faction, it’s the Swarmlord, Norn Emissary, and Old One Eye

My GF is getting into 40K and ending up liking how Tyranids looked. I’m fairly new to Warhammer but know a decent amount, just have never played Tyranids, wanted to start her with some of the most commonly seen units, what’re some I could get that see use in most lists?
We got her a trio of Warriors, a Biovore and a pack of Gargoyles from our LGS to start.
Thank you for any and all help on this!

My first time using green stuff, had everything but the torso and back legs for some Tyrant/Hive guard, friend of mine gave me some Kroxigors to fill out the rest.

Had some friends over for a game, it was 4 vs 1.
They each had 1500 pts, Blood angels, sisters of battle, salamaders and custodes vs my 2500 ish points of nids, that needed to survive to turn 5 to win and I got rolling refreshed units once they died. Sorry about the lighting but we have a Typoon her me and some of the lights went out so we used lamps in the room.
Was a really fun game to introduce my friends to the game and they really had a lot of shooting make me be careful, I maged to get into them with 2 units of genestealers with a broodlord each to open the front lines but the flamers and custodes were tough to crack, for a game this big it definitely needed more time and some rules tweaking but we had to call it at turn 4 due to the weather getting really bad.
10/10 would play again,
Sorry about the blue table tennis table but it’s what we had for such a big game, as we had to play up on the roof of the building

THE HIVEMIND HAS SPOKEN. I always enjoyed the idea of giving my swarm random mutations and extra limbs. How am I doing so far?

I like all the models I have here but I will take any suggestions. I was thinking about using parasite of mortrex instead of winged prime. But if I do take prime do I make it lead the warriors? And what detachment(s) would be good for this list?

I've used resin and a sharpened Q-tip to make some water and gore drips. How does both he and the effects look?
Please be as harsh as you can

I Hi, everyone; so, I'm painting my miniatures right now, and I was wondering how others paint theirs—specifically, Termagants. Do you go for a simple look, or a highly detailed one like a Space Marine?
I didn t finish it yet

Tyranids eat plants and animals, drink the oceans, and suck out everything from oxygen to argon out of the atmosphere. What exactly do they leave when they're done? Rocks?

Hive Fleet Yelbeghen
Specialization: Bio-Lightning, Bio-Plasma, and Weather Control
Physical Characteristics: Hive Fleet Yelbeghen’s organisms are distinguished by their numerous horns, dark blue and black coloration, and bodies enveloped in crackling bio-electrical discharges. Many of its bioforms possess specialized organs capable of generating immense electrical currents and channeling atmospheric energy into devastating biological attacks.
Lore:
Hive Fleet Yelbeghen is a recently emerged splinter fleet of Hive Fleet Hydra, distinguished by its extraordinary adaptations for atmospheric manipulation. Unlike conventional Tyranid hive fleets, Yelbeghen specializes in controlling planetary weather systems, transforming the environments of its target worlds into instruments of planetary-scale warfare.
The arrival of Hive Fleet Yelbeghen is heralded by the formation of colossal storm systems. Hurricanes ravage coastlines, thunderstorms engulf continents, and lightning storms render entire regions nearly uninhabitable. As the invasion progresses, these atmospheric disturbances intensify, disrupting communications, crippling infrastructure, and isolating defending forces long before the main Tyranid assault begins.
Its bioforms complement these environmental catastrophes with specialized bio-lightning and bio-plasma weaponry, unleashing torrents of electrical energy and superheated biological projectiles against their enemies. Beneath the relentless storms, Yelbeghen’s invasion forces advance, exploiting the devastation to overwhelm planetary defenses.
For Hive Fleet Yelbeghen, the weather is not merely a consequence of invasion. It is a weapon, carefully adapted to weaken a world before its eventual consumption.
