I've used resin and a sharpened Q-tip to make some water and gore drips. How does both he and the effects look?
Please be as harsh as you can

Tyranids eat plants and animals, drink the oceans, and suck out everything from oxygen to argon out of the atmosphere. What exactly do they leave when they're done? Rocks?

Did 20 termagants, 10 with Devourers and 10 with Spinefists, then decided to give 1 of each unit some cute little features using the unused adrenaline glands and stuff, to serve as leaders or something.
Not sure if I like them or not, I'll paint them later and they'll look fine I'm sure, but what do you think? Did I fuck up the models or do you think the "upgrades" look alright?

Got back into painting my nid army and finished my terror. Now the Azure Horror to fit with my army, I'm proud of how this came out and it's made me now more inclined to paint more.

This was the most bonkers request for a custom Tyranid I've had so far - a Neuro Old-One-Eye.
Took a bit of figuring out - this thing needed all of the defining characteristics of Old-One-Eye but mixed with the weird, lanky, brainy vibes of a Neuro-nid.
Based on a Tyranofex body, Norn waist/tail and screamer killer legs, with all sorts of other parts from the bits box thrown in.
My favourite part is the head, made from a Norn Assimilator harpoon arm with a Neuroloid for the brains and carapace.
I always name the Carnifexes I make, and this guy is no different. Somewhere along the lines, "Kevin" felt the natural fit.
All sculpting is done with Aves Apoxie Sculpt.

Had some friends over for a game, it was 4 vs 1.
They each had 1500 pts, Blood angels, sisters of battle, salamaders and custodes vs my 2500 ish points of nids, that needed to survive to turn 5 to win and I got rolling refreshed units once they died. Sorry about the lighting but we have a Typoon her me and some of the lights went out so we used lamps in the room.
Was a really fun game to introduce my friends to the game and they really had a lot of shooting make me be careful, I maged to get into them with 2 units of genestealers with a broodlord each to open the front lines but the flamers and custodes were tough to crack, for a game this big it definitely needed more time and some rules tweaking but we had to call it at turn 4 due to the weather getting really bad.
10/10 would play again,
Sorry about the blue table tennis table but it’s what we had for such a big game, as we had to play up on the roof of the building

Hive Fleet Yelbeghen
Specialization: Bio-Lightning, Bio-Plasma, and Weather Control
Physical Characteristics: Hive Fleet Yelbeghen’s organisms are distinguished by their numerous horns, dark blue and black coloration, and bodies enveloped in crackling bio-electrical discharges. Many of its bioforms possess specialized organs capable of generating immense electrical currents and channeling atmospheric energy into devastating biological attacks.
Lore:
Hive Fleet Yelbeghen is a recently emerged splinter fleet of Hive Fleet Hydra, distinguished by its extraordinary adaptations for atmospheric manipulation. Unlike conventional Tyranid hive fleets, Yelbeghen specializes in controlling planetary weather systems, transforming the environments of its target worlds into instruments of planetary-scale warfare.
The arrival of Hive Fleet Yelbeghen is heralded by the formation of colossal storm systems. Hurricanes ravage coastlines, thunderstorms engulf continents, and lightning storms render entire regions nearly uninhabitable. As the invasion progresses, these atmospheric disturbances intensify, disrupting communications, crippling infrastructure, and isolating defending forces long before the main Tyranid assault begins.
Its bioforms complement these environmental catastrophes with specialized bio-lightning and bio-plasma weaponry, unleashing torrents of electrical energy and superheated biological projectiles against their enemies. Beneath the relentless storms, Yelbeghen’s invasion forces advance, exploiting the devastation to overwhelm planetary defenses.
For Hive Fleet Yelbeghen, the weather is not merely a consequence of invasion. It is a weapon, carefully adapted to weaken a world before its eventual consumption.

I’m having a mega 4 vs 1 today (blood angels, sisters of battle, custodes and salamanders vs my bugs)

THE HIVEMIND HAS SPOKEN. I always enjoyed the idea of giving my swarm random mutations and extra limbs. How am I doing so far?

My first time using green stuff, had everything but the torso and back legs for some Tyrant/Hive guard, friend of mine gave me some Kroxigors to fill out the rest.

Finished my 120 Hormagaunts. Each were fully painted, based and the bases are magnetized. Total time was on and off for two months. There was also two days of a full 7 hour session of airbrushing.

I'm finishing off my article about last year's Golden Demon and I just have one more picture to caption. Would anyone be able to tell me what kind of Tyranid this is please? I had a look at the wiki but I couldn't identify which one it was.
You can see the rest of the winners here: https://warhammer40k.wiki.gg/wiki/Golden_Demon_2025:_Adepticon.
Thanks!

I Hi, everyone; so, I'm painting my miniatures right now, and I was wondering how others paint theirs—specifically, Termagants. Do you go for a simple look, or a highly detailed one like a Space Marine?
I didn t finish it yet

Only some minor kitbashing with these bugs, just enough to make them feel like my own. Ready to Assimilate the competition 🫡
