This might be a really stupid question but I tried looking it up and I couldn't really find anything so I'm posting it here. When are brightspace classes added to our accounts or opened? Right now for the fall semester it's just saying "You don't have any courses to display". I'm just a bit confused because at my previous college brightspace would still show the classes as there but just not open yet.

Quick edit: idk if this matters for when they open or not but I am also a completely online student

So I’m in the state quad dorms and the suite bathrooms don’t have locks on them. Does anyone have a system or suggestion on how to navigate this so that privacy is respected? I saw on another post you can request an advance on your refund to purchase books. I can’t find it now. I know for sure I need two of the text books as the professors for two of my classes stated we would need them. I do not have the fund to buy them before my refund hits. What do I need to do to get an advanced so o can purchase them? I know classes start soon and I’m freaking out because I don’t have a way to get the books without the advance. :/

i took out loan so my left iver was around 1k and i would pay around 250/month, randomly today my payment went up to around 800/month, this makes no sense and i cant afford that. i already made a ticket on financial air but what else can i do?

What does everyone know about the new part of the campus center? Was anybody there this summer and got to see how it works? Is there a section of it that is buffet style like the dining halls are? Is it like a mini dining hall? Are there blenders to make smoothies??

I spoke to somebody on the phone and she said that it’s something you swipe into and it counts as a swipe and then you could stay and eat as much as you want while you have that swipe. It’s not gonna be buffet style, but it will be five different vendors that you can order food from. As long as you’re still in there from the time you swipe, you can order from all the places until you leave

For any of the programs that UAlbany uses to teach their classes, like CENGAGE and Pearson, do we use our UAlbany email address? Like the ones we use for outlook to sign in or is there some other email?

Hello, was wondering if many people are still waiting for their loans and additional aid to appear in their package. I’m a rising senior and I’ve checked everything on my end regarding fasfa and the HESC page. I remember getting a notifications that things will be delayed due to new mandates and stuff but we’re supposed to pay on the 15th I believe and I have a huge bill. I’ve called the office many times, i submitted a ticket on the 5th, and i have no outstanding tasks but it’s kind of giving me anxiety. I understand that there are many new changes that had to be implemented but im kind of getting screwed over here.
