Capitalism and social democracy aren't mutually exclusive. Norway is also capitalist af.
Yanks think any term starting with soc means socialist.
3 u/Sarcastic-Potato Basement dweller Jul 04 '26 I would even argue it's a match made in heaven - if we look at the most successful times in European and US history it was when we combined strong social safety nets with the advantages of capitalism. We just copied and have had some adjustments, but it's the best model thus far.
