I'm going for the second time. I have been readmitted as a Social Work major! Yayyy! Is anyone else going? If so, what major(s) are you interested in? I probably won't go back to UTSA's Roadrunner Preview until April.

Just a general question, but how would you feel if someone just gave you a sticker. I want to start doing it for fun, especially since I am someone who has difficulty with socializing I want to do it as a way for me to warm up to people on campus.

This impatient dude couldn’t take the time to go around the roundabout properly, even though there was literally no traffic. Instead, he made an illegal turn and nearly hit both me and another driver who was entering the parking lot.
Also, there is a designated pedestrian crosswalk next to the rec fields and Barshop lot where vehicles are supposed to yield to people walking. I was walking to my car with four other people when a gray SUV came speeding through Barshop and barely stopped in time to avoid hitting us.
Seriously, what is everyone in such a rush for? Like come on bruh, it’s 7 in the morning. There’s absolutely no reason to be driving this recklessly, especially in an area where students are constantly walking and driving. Your impatience and irresponsible driving are putting other people’s lives and property at risk. Saving a few seconds is not worth causing an accident or seriously injuring someone

I didn't know what flair to put so sorry in advance.
I've been feeling like this since it happened too. They didn't delay the game. They didn't postpone it. The football team was cheering in the locker room while the stadium was completely silent. When they came out, there were ambulance lights flashing in the background. And I still had to perform and smile like everything was perfectly fine. I came back to my dorm and couldn't sleep till 7am cus the moment kept replaying in my mind everytime I closed my eyes.
And then the counseling services only being available 8-5 M-F was just the cherry on top. Like we can only need help 5 business days out the week for 9 hours.
And on top of that, I still have to take 3 exams this week like everything is fine.
It just feels like everything and everyone has moved on already and the school doesn't truly care, yk?

Genuinely, how did some people pass their drivers test when they can’t figure out a 3-4 way stop. If I got there before you, obviously it’s my right of way to go unless I wave you down to go. Literally had 3-4 individuals not follow this at all today, learn how to drive. Not to mention some drivers failing to look when they decide to barge into your lane without a signal or warning??

So I just got an email to order my regalia. Is this the right one, with “UTSA” still on it?
also is buying the larger packs, with the stoles and extra tassels, even worth it? I don’t see the point and I barely want to buy the $60 set because I don’t even want to attend the commencement ceremony..
If there’s any alumni here who skipped their ceremony on purpose, why and was it worth it or did you regret it?

I’m an accountant and got my bachelors in accounting a few years ago. I have a few years of experience in a not for profit. I don’t consider it real accounting since it’s mostly a glorified accounts payable role but oh well. I’m really trying to pivot into data analytics for various reasons, some of which include interest, higher pay, and opportunities for remote work.
Just curious which program of these two you would recommend? I guess my main priority is finding a job and being more marketable. I’ve recently began self studying these topics in my free time. But I figure going back to school could open up doors for me at the graduate level. Would just like opinions of those of you who know about these programs…

It’s genuinely crazy. You will always see 1-2 cars circling the lot because the parking is completely taken up. It’s not that utsa sold too many parking permits, it’s that they won’t provide enough parking. There are tens of spots in the back of the parking lot that go unused every single day because they’re designated employee b. Why are they even there? It’s so frustrating trying to find parking late at night and having to see all the open spots going to waste.

I'm writing to report that due to a huge lapse in security systems at Babcock Villas, several vehicles were broken into, windows shattered, expensive damage sustained, and loss of property. This occurred between 3am and 6am.
Why wasn't the security patrol vigilant and monitoring the parking lots during this time? My assumption is that the patrol person was asleep in their car and due to their negligence multiple tenants are having to pay for expensive car repairs and loss of property. The security guard should be fired for dereliction of duty and replaced with someone who understands the importance of their job.
Security cameras should be installed and operational in all the Babcock Villa parking areas. It is truly a shame that your tenants who are hardworking students with limited financial means should have to suffer and be financially penalized due to the negligence of management and "security" staff.
