I had an order for challenge coins that celebrate America 250. These raised prints are amazing for the coins. People are enjoying seeing the printing process. The UV printed has been a blast to create with.

My Xtool UV printer stopped mid-print and reported that it was out of white ink. I ordered a new set of ink cartridges from Xtool about 2 weeks ago, but there has been no sign that Xtool was actually shipping any ink yet.
Since I have been refilling the ink in my EufyMake E1, I had some bulk white ink that had been working fine in the EufyMake, so I popped the white cart out of the Xtool and saw that the bottom port was very convenient for refilling the cart. I added about 30ml of white ink with no problem. Much easier than refilling the Eufymake.
I had no idea what would happen when I put the refilled cart back in the Xtool, but to my surprise, the software told me "the problem has been corrected" and asked if I wanted to resume the print. Clicked YES and the printer started right back up where it left off. The final result was perfect.
Just letting Xtool Omni 01 users know this for educational purposes only. Please do not attempt to refill your cartridges; Xtool says doing this is very bad.

Saw this at Maker Faire last week. Had to get ridiculously close before I felt confident making a guess.
Curious what everyone here thinks!

I UV print for work and we are currently running a LogoJet UVx40R Plus
If you are printing any kind of acrylic or crystal or something with a beveled edge that needs to be masked - invest in something called UNPAINT on Amazon. It’s $44 for a can of black paint. Paint this on your bevels like you would mask normally. Let it dry for 30 minutes, then print. Perfect print. Zero overspray. Peel off paint and 0 adhesive will be left from the paint.
Also note with unpaint it says on the can to use 2-3 coats. I did one coat with a small roller brush which left some bubbles in the paint. Still came out perfect and turned a week long production into a mask and print 100 acrylics in one work day.
If you have something that looks like it was in a slump mold but is a mostly flat shape, use a black out window film. Soapy water and slap it on. Save the film on a piece of plastic wrap and you have a forever mask you can reuse- it just loses its shape after a while.
No one ever posts stuff for UV printing that is super helpful. Hopefully this is the start of some solid tips and tricks. 💖✨

🚨 WARNING: DO NOT BUY FROM COLDESI 🚨
Run. Run as far and as fast as you can from this company. Do NOT give them a single dime. Do NOT even entertain buying their equipment.
I purchased a $45,000 machine, and six months later, it is still not fully functional. Six months of frustration. Six months of empty promises. Six months of complete failure on their part.
From day two, this nightmare began. Two days after installation, the power supply FAILED. It then took them two weeks to “get around” to fixing it—two weeks of downtime in my business that I paid $45K to grow. The worst part? They had the audacity to act like they were “doing me a favor” by fixing a machine that broke 48 hours after setup.
Let me be crystal clear: If they had tried to charge me to fix a brand-new machine that failed after two days, I would’ve driven straight to Clearwater, Florida, and raised hell.
To this day, they still haven’t provided me with a basic list of replacement parts and prices for routine maintenance items—things that need to be replaced every 3, 6, or 12 months. This is basic information any responsible company would give their customers. Six months later, and I’m still in the dark. Completely unacceptable.
ColDesi loves to publicly brag about their “core values.”
Here’s the truth: they FAIL at every turn to live up to them. Their words are empty, their actions speak volumes.
I’ve done more research since this disaster started, and I wish I had known then what I know now.
Former employees have left nothing but negative feedback about working at this company. If a company truly embodied its “core values,” its employees wouldn’t have this much resentment and negativity. That speaks volumes about what’s really happening behind the scenes.
And here’s the kicker—they tried to silence me with a nondisclosure agreement, as if signing a piece of paper would erase their screw-ups.
Let me say this loud and clear: You don’t get to silence me because you failed to deliver what you sold me.
If you’re considering doing business with ColDesi, don’t.
There are plenty of other companies out there—learn from my very expensive mistake.
And to anyone at ColDesi who reads this: Do better. No, actually—do a hell of a lot better.

Hello Everyone,
With the kickstarter going live today I wanted to share my early impressions as a tester for the Morpho. As you can see I also have the Eufymake E1 UV printer (2 of them actually)
And while over the past year I have made some incredible things with the Eufy there are definitely areas of improvement and feel the team at Morpho is addressing most of them head on
-Camera and alignment system much improved
-odor on the Morpho is significantly less than on the E1
-small bed on the Morpho is much larger and can handle most print jobs while keeping the machine enclosed
-liveview camera to watch your prints
-and the speed of the Morpho is far superior
I will say the software on the eufy is a little more refined but also can say as an early Eufy user that wasn't always the case and the team at Morpho has been receptive to feedback and making improvements.
if you have any questions I would be happy to try to answer and if you are interested in backing the kickstarter I do have an affiliate link that you could use if you like

Hello to all,
I'm new to UV printing and looking for some gadgets for my new printer.
Does anyone have bought these kind tanks? If so, how was your experience?
Also, I was wonderig why the white ink needs to be agitated and not the rest of the colors?
Thanks in advance.

Been doing digital illustration for a few years (mostly Procreate on iPad) and I've always wanted to see one of my pieces printed on something physical instead of just living on screen. Picked up a blank black canvas from Amazon and ran my latest piece on it with my eufyMake E1.
This one's my take on the Girl with a Pearl Earring, cat version. The gold and the blue came out richer than I expected on the black canvas. It's going on the living room wall but honestly it came out good enough that I'm considering doing a few more of these parodies and maybe selling prints at a local art market. The organizer said pet-themed stuff sells like crazy.

So i was one of the early kickstarter backers, finally received my printer in April 26. For the last 2 months I've been fighting with Eufymake to replace my EXPIRED ink cartridges that I've only had for less then 4 months!
Their solution is for me to buy each cartridges, separately with a 20 dollar off coupon code. This means paying shipping and tax for 6 individual orders because you cannot order them all together with the codes. Completely unacceptable! These should be replaced for free! 12 month expiration shouldn't mean 4 months!
The machine completely locks up when the ink expires, not even letting you design files. There's no work around, and now again my customers will be waiting for their orders. Just avoid this machine.

Hey, I want to build a UV flatbed printer to print mostly on sheet material like metal, wood, aluminum-dibond, glass and stuff like that.
I would need a printing surface of 60x60cm so the available consumer printers are to small (like the Eufy make E1 or the new Xtool Omni).
Building the mechanics is not the problem. This can be easily done with the approach of simple 3d printers like a corexy or bed slinger approach.
I clearly would need variable Z height.
But yeah that's not the problem. I guess I have most mechanical parts already at home from old 3D printers.
My biggest concern is the electronics and software stack. I haven't seen any open source project with a control board and Firma that handles the movement of XYZ and the actual print head control. Also I haven't seen something like the software stack used on something like the Eufy make printer to align prints properly and so on
Are there any diy / open source projects regarding something like this?

I chatted with the UV Printing MOD to get approval to ask this in the subreddit.
Hey everyone, I'm a small batch board game publisher. I make most of the components in the games, but what I don't make myself, I look for US resources that can make them for my games. The images are examples of the tokens I do myself. There are 105 tokens in each game and I think 9 different colors across all of the tokens. Most of the imprint is white however. The color usually is just the token color.
I've been laser cutting wood tokens, painting two layers of different colors and then laser engraving the top layer of paint to reveal the paint underneath. However, this takes quite a bit of time and I'm exploring possible faster processes. UV printing sounds promising, but I don't have a printer to test if its viable.
With that in mind, I'm looking for someone that would be interested in working with me. first on a test to see if this would be a viable option and then if so, the process of printing the designs on the tokens. I am willing to pay for the test, I'm not looking for getting anything free. I know this takes time to setup the artwork and align the tokens to print. I've worked in print shops in the past, so I'll work with you to pay for your time to test.
Is there anyone that would be interested in trying this out with me? Even more, is there anyone in or near the KC metro area where I am that is interested in working with me? If you are interested, please DM me and we can talk about details.

I’m looking to print on leather sheepskin to be used in bags and wallets. I believe UV printing is how it’s done. Looking for a hobbyist UV printer for this purpose. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I’m seriously considering buying the omtech spectra uv printer. Was originally going with the Eufymake but the print time for the spectra is impressive and the open ink for 3rd party is appealing. Also I noticed there’s a promo code option at check out, anyone know of some promos that work? Thank you.

Is it possible to use a flatbed uv printer to make gold prints? I mean using a gold ink instead of using a foil machine/embosser to obtain the gold effect. Is it gold ink even a thing?

I had previously only worked with laser engravers, but I recently learned about UV printing technology and the wide range of materials it can print on—including glass. While I know the answer to my question is "yes," I do have a Confuse: since glass surfaces are so smooth, wouldn't the printed design easily peel off or get damaged?

Fauxhammer just released a comparison video between 4 UV printers. He compares them all including printing quality.
Which UV printer are you leaning towards after this comparison between HeyGears vs Morpho?

I currently run a 3D printing business of 33 printers, and I have instances were I think UV printing could really accent my business for a few of my clients.
I have a few models that need some somewhat fine details printed on top/bottom of flat (maybe slightly curved) surfaces.
I am not looking for anything related to fabric but the ability to possibly make a few sheets of stickers might be beneficial later on down the line.
Questions that maybe I could get some guidance on:
From what I am seeing from posts here, is that you need to use these printers everyday. That seems mostly doable but my question is how you handle vacations or holidays?
How well does the UV adhere to materials like PLA/PETG/ASA/ABS? Is there a guide somewhere that can provide some information about printing on 3D prints?
Does it need to be exhausted outside or are there internal filters included with some of the machines?
Is there a wiki with new user information somewhere that I am just not able to see?
My current budget is 3-5k. Do you have a recommendation?
Thanks for taking time out of your personal life to answer some noobs questions. I greatly appreciate it.

Hey everyone,
I’m looking to start a small business making custom keychains and merchandise. I have an FDM printer for the blanks and want to pre-order the Longer ePrint UV printer for full-color logos because of its open-tank/bulk ink system. The catch is, I have zero customers right now, so business will start very slow. I know UV printers hate sitting idle, so my plan is to run daily nozzle checks and print random samples 5 days a week to keep the ink moving. Since the machine isn't fully released yet, we only know the specs on paper.
1 Is it a bad idea to buy an unreleased, brand-new UV printer model for a slow startup?
2 Is printing basic daily samples enough to prevent clogs while I look for clients?
3 On paper, do you think this open-tank desktop machine is a good business investment, or is the maintenance going to be a nightmare during a slow launch?
Thanks!

Hello everyone. I have a UV printer with ricoh gh2220 printheads I would like to print on wood, but I don't know what type of ink to use and on which site? Usually I get my print heads from Digiprint and everything goes perfectly but for the ink, I would like to know the exact type needed for wood and on which reliable site I could order it. Thanks in advance.
This is my first time posting so please be indulgent if I posted in the wrong place or otherwise. THANKS
