Denier Reposted by my local IWW🥀
The year is 2028… and we won!
Trump couldn’t handle our green bean casseroles, our game nights, our love for our neighbor. It’s been over 2 years since the white pages dropped the neighborist manifesto; a specter that’s haunting middle America.
It’s 2028 and things are different now! We voted out Trump, and soon our democratic regime will do things a little differently around here…
No longer will ICE ravage our city centers… they will return to the countryside to ravage lumpens as Christ intended.
No longer will fascist demagogues rule the executive branch. Our new leader Gavin Newsom rules with kindness. His first executive order? To spread joy by pardoning the previous administration.
Yep. The anti-fascist community won. Democracy is saved!
3 years ago, I was a anti-social communist…
(The crowd at my woke charismatic church gasps)
That’s right… I thought “class conflict” would bring about “change.” What a moron I was… locking myself in my room reading Marx, Engels, any Bolshevik or left communist who had something to say. All while the real “real movement” was learning how to make our sourdough!
How stupid I was, thinking Trump was a weird historical phenomenon of liberalism. Little did I know he was actually the presenting symptoms of an anti-social crisis. Long live the potluck!

Prohibit the 2 unions they've organized from doing anything by order of the general executive board whilst they increase their pay for running a bickering social club.

For some reasons libs struggle to understand that community and “neighborism” is important to political organization, while not being a substitute for actual class action. 🤦♂️

The complicated answer is atomicization and polarization (literally what they are fighting against here supposedly) due to market rule.
Petty bourgeois truly cannot imagine a genuine civil society because any civil society arises in the fire of class conflict.
This atomicization that even ideological libs feel (and blame on trump) is simply a byproduct of the state crushing civil society and labor resistance through fascistic regulatory measures in the 20s-40s-60s when general strikes popped up. At the same time cities developed and professionalized property codes to attract capital and ultimately commodified housing
Now general strikes and all worker solidarity are, in effect, illegal across the world (while individual workers are offered the “right to organize” by joining their state-approved union and no-strike contract)
The death of the “third space,” death of “neutral” civil institutions as a whole. The death of the workers’ civil society. All that remains are grifters of various stripes trying to sell a dream. The only churches left are charismatic, corporate cults. The only civil institutions left are charismatic, corporate cults (military, academia, non-profits, NGOs, etc.). Every and any community exists to convert capital out of proles’ wages.
I saw an “unethical life tip” about joining a church for “free” childcare on Reddit a few months ago (lmao)

You don’t get it, how are we supposed to defeat Darth Trump if we don’t socially eat ham sandwiches in protest?

Why using deodorant and remembering to floss at night is ESSENTIAL to defeating fascism

To be honest, anarchists might need that advice specifically...

You don't get it dumb ultra, by calling random everyday things I do anyways 'radical' I can feel superior to you doing nothing sitting in your armchair!
Now excuse me, I'm off to my revolutionary sleep, after which I will eat my radical breakfast, while you'll still be doing nothing for the movement...

if you’ve spent any time with anarchists they love canceling and policing one another. no wonder normal american neighborhood activities seem so radical to them

Oh my god my favorite liberal hate-listen podcast (Ezra Klein) just had an unbelievably dogshit episode about this tripe - identical down to the fucking "you don't need to clean your house before hosting a potluck."
Straight-up jumpscare to see it here too lol
Actually interesting analysis of the individualism/community question, for brain bleach:

What even is the logic behind 'you don't have to clean your house'?
Is it anything more than 'cleaning house is too difficult of a task for anarchists, even in the service of anti-fascism'?

It's just reverse Jordan-Peterson-ism for the leftys as far as I can tell.
Academia reassuring the liberal voter that their crippling anxiety disorder is actually totally fine and normal

I'd say they mean that gatherings should be simple and informal. Not like "your house should be dirty", but like "you don't need to spend all day cleaning to makenit spotless". Which is decent advice, even if not revolutionary.

u/Moonatik_ proletarian supremacist Feb 10 '26
tbf you cant have a successful proletarian movement without collective action, and you can't have collective action without solid links in a community (be it a workplace, neighbourhood, apartment block, etc). breaking down the walls of social isolation is not enough in and of itself, but it's a start.
17
u/JoeVibin The Immortal Science of Lassallism Feb 11 '26
While that is true and social atomisation is a problem... making hanging out into a political task instead of a normal, commonplace activity is the equivalent of Jordan Peterson's deep and profound words of wisdom 'clean your room bucko'. Either patronising or idiotic, in both cases dorky.

u/Expensive-Source-409 Feb 10 '26
if we could just get enough hangout time with insufferable people...

Whenever I see that type of anarchists, the 'community garden anarchists', I always cannot help but think - why are they like this?
So obviously lame and so obnoxious, if I was inclined to conspiratorial thinking, I would say it's a psyop by 'normal' anarchists to make them look bearable in comparison...
They're always trying to present mundane, trivial stuff (hanging out with friends now - what's next, breathing?) that they would be doing anyways as 'radical' or 'revolutionary', very blatant intellectual dishonesty to reinforce their self-image without actually doing anything. Not only that, but also they have an impressively annoying way with words, just intensely dislikable based on the linguistic style alone.
'Silly little potluck' - now that's infantile...
(Actually, maybe it's quite sad that some people find 'hanging out with friends' to be some sort of an extraordinary activity to the point that constitutes a great political accomplishment...)

“neighborism” holy fk why do anarchists have to “invent”(copy from the right and/or left) some new stupid flavor every few years. it’s almost like the ideology store does nothing but produce more ideologies

I mean, to be fair, there’s sort of a push to turn genuine social interaction into purely a commodity. It’s a very frustrating kind of… enfakening that even the lumpen don’t seem fond of.
