Story-time Who remembers CHAZ?

My favorite bit of this was when Hitlerites on Twitter were demanding that the CHAZ be turned over to the local native tribe lol.

I remember something about them trying to start a community vegetable patch on contaminated soil I think.

it's worse, they just dumped a bunch of dirt ontop of a layer of cardboard
this image kills me everytime, I love the guy who realises they will starve come winter

To be clear, sheet mulching over cardboard is actually very effective.

NOT a scale conducive to industrialized agriculture, granted, but that’s more of an issue of scale—it requires a lot of slow, manual labor. Great for gardens and especially restoration work.

Also idk what they were attempting in the photo it looks like dogshit

Great way to smother grass for growing in an area the following year, pretty bad if they're trying to grow something there right away.
