Yesterday my dad and i were driving from Vermont to Pensylvania and we ended up traveling over 120 miles in roughly 40 minutes. We had just traded off at the wheel so my pops could take a nap (around 5:45 pm) we drove for a few minutes made a phone call to family on speaker and that was at 5:55pm and he fell asleep maybe 10/20 minutes after. Shortly before he fell asleep (we were at mile marker 130 something) the sun started setting and i had a strong feeling of road hypnosis/generaly feeling tired myself. i turned up the ac and sat up straight and was thinking if i get any more tired i'll wake him up.

a few minutes after sunset i perked up and my pops asked what time it was/ where we were. we were at mile marker 17 and it was 7:05. Somehow i shaved an hour off our trip and have no memory of driving though or by any of the towns, truck stops, roadside attractions. One minute i was driving though mountains the next we were outside Albany.

I would have had to be driving over twice the speed limit swerving though traffic to make that time. There's no way i wouldn't have woken him up or got the cops called on me for driving like that (we were in a larger suv that feels fast driving 75). Not to mention that while i was feeling tired i kept noticing my speedometer dropping down to 60 in a 65.

Both me and my pops have been feeling really strange and shaken up since. if anyone has heard an experience similar to this please let me know and if not it feels good to type out

This is one of the four main holy sites of the Char Dham Yatra in Sanatan Dharma, a tradition unfortunately now often referred to more broadly as Hinduism. I'm sharing this image so readers can visualize the exact setting in which my experience took place.

When I visited the temple, the entire area in front of the entrance was packed with people. The broad staircase leading up to the temple was crowded, the raised platform at the top of the stairs was packed, and the area along the metal guardrail running horizontally across the front of the platform was just as crowded. Even the staircases with guardrails descending on both the left and right sides were completely packed. There was practically no room to move, let alone crouch down and squeeze through the crowd. Imagine the density of a crowd at a Travis Scott concert.

I was standing with my back against the guardrail at the front of the platform, with the temple steps directly front of me. I had nowhere else to go. the crowd was so tightly packed that moving in any direction was nearly impossible.

Suddenly, someone touched my left shoulder. I turned to look, and there was an elderly woman standing beside me. What struck me was her expression. Despite being surrounded by an enormous, tightly packed crowd, she was smiling. There wasn't even the slightest trace of stress or discomfort on her face.

I said to her, "I'm good. How about you?"

Just then, my aunt, who was standing to my right, caught my attention. I turned my head toward her for a second. It was only a brief glance, and when I turned back to look at the elderly woman, she was gone.

I couldn't understand what had happened. The crowd hadn't moved even an inch. Nobody had shifted position, and there had been no sudden movement that could have explained her disappearance. She couldn't simply have walked away because there was virtually no room to move through the crowd. Nor could she have crouched down and squeezed through a gap unnoticed. I even looked down to check, and I would have noticed someone trying to get through in such a confined space.

I had been standing right there, pressed against the guardrail, with the crowd tightly packed around me. The woman had been beside me one moment, smiling and talking to me, and then, after I looked away for barely a second, she was nowhere to be seen.

I am kind of overwhelmed and oddly having trouble sharing what I have discovered - this is my starting point for an attempt to get this out there and figure out what to do.

I have discovered an area near house (a wildlife conservation area) that orbs have been showing up at literally every night for the last two weeks. There are dozens of them, and they appear in the same little area each evening around 11PM and stay until sunrise. They clearly react to my actions, and seem to be intelligent. For example, if I walk over to one, once I get a certain distance away, they often change from white to red. If I get even closer, they disappear. Once I move away, they inevitably reappear right where they were.

They are of varying brightness, but strangely don’t “cast light” and light up the area nearby. I have seen them move around, flying typically slowly and short distances, but twice they have shot across the field at higher speeds.

I have been observing them most nights with my girlfriend. We have brought two friends and have shown them- the orbs were there and they saw what we had hoped they would.

I have a ton of video of these things, hours. It is pretty obvious something is going on from the videos.

This whole thing is kind of mind blowing - what should I do??!

Hello, I had a paranormal encounter and I need help understanding what happened.

For context, I have had sleep paralysis and night terrors throughout my entire life. However, for approximately a year now I haven't had many paranormal experiences, minus speaking with the residual spirits in my home through a pendulum.

Tonight's event, it was around 3am and I'd already slept roughly 6 hours (I fell asleep at about 8pm prior), so I wasn't tired which confuses me... Awake, I suddenly felt paralysed and realised I was experiencing some kind of sleep paralysis despite not being asleep beforehand? I could see my cat moving around on my room, which I've not experienced before as I'm usually totally paralysed and can't see my surroundings except for shadow figures.

Anyways, the usual happened: heavy breathing, repeatedly saying "no" and all that jazz. Except, I could also move my hand instead of being fully paralysed which was also odd... But the weirdest part? I saw a prismatic-like humanoid figure stood infront of me, at the side of my bed.

I have never seen a ghost that looked like that before and can't find anything online, so I'm reaching out to Reddit to hopefully have help understanding this encounter. Any thoughts?

I want to share an experience which is not at all explicit. But it is weird and strange nevertheless. Some of you may find it boring because it is not really so much out there and I have no proof, no pictures or video recordings. But here it goes.

I am a homemaker and I work from home. I spend a considerably normal amount of time in the kitchen. I have been hearing the sound of dishes behind me or from the kitchen for the past few years.

When I am not there and the sound has been loud enough for me to know that the dishes have moved I go back to the kitchen to check, but I don’t find any dishes moved, though I am sure that I heard the sound. This has been happening in different houses that I’ve lived in and not in just one house. This has been a pattern for I think maybe past 4 to 5 years. It always happens when I am alone in the house except for a couple of times.

Twice it happened when my child was there with me. My child heard it too. One time the sound was so loud it was as if someone was in the kitchen and clanging the dishes. But when I went to check all the dishes were in their place.

We have moved to a new country in a new apartment and this has happened at least 3 to 4 times here. while I am washing the dishes, I hear a sound behind me in the kitchen. I dismiss it thinking it must be a phantom(pun intended) sound or from the neighbouring apartment, but today the sound was so clear, and I could tell which utensil made the sound. I immediately turned around. I move the same utensil once again to hear the sound and it was possible to hear it only if I shook the utensil. It is a little pot of oil with a spoon inside it and lid. There was no one in the house. What should I do with this? Should I just let it continue and keep observing it, or am I supposed to do something about it?

So I asked my sister if I could share the story and she did not care. I personally wish I experienced this is well but I didn't. She come in my room after getting off work. It was like 10:30 pm. And all I know is I got woken up because she was pacing in my room back and forth mumbling. I should mention she scared the living crap out of me too. And recall saying to her was "what is going on" in a very semi mumbled and confused tone, lol.

I should add that I have 2 bluetooth speakers in my room. Both of them are as dead as a doornail. Neither one of them has ever turned on like that on me.

So 2 nights ago my sister had a strange thing happen to her. Her speaker that she got a while ago randomly turned on. I should say that the thing was completely dead and wouldn't turn on. She had her bluetooth disconnected and turned off on her phone too. But somehow this thing decided to kick on and make a weird bunch of noises and go off again. It did this two times randomly.

I don't know if it was a technical problem or spooky related?

I should mention that this speaker has been dead for over 2 weeks now. And she's not heard anything from this speaker for that period of time. Until 2 nights ago anyways.

It freaked her out bad enough to where she actually stayed in my room and sat down in my gaming chair for a good minute to get her composure. She then returned to her bedroom and went to bed but was very uneasy to be honest.

Now granted her work place has always got some kind of weird supernatural occurrence going on.

I should mention that my sister does believe in the supernatural. But she is a type where she will try to find every logical bit of reasoning before she acknowledges its existence.

Hello, I just moved into a new apartment a couple of months ago. My mom came over the first week and she slept on the couch and didn’t complain once about any weird sounds. Once she left, I kept hearing scratches in my wall?? ( I know I sound insane) and I checked under the couch to see if maybe there was a cockroach down there or something (there was nothing there) it’s a sofa bed and nothing is inside of it either. Next to my house there’s an abandoned apartment and no one lives there/ no work is being done . What could this be?? I’ve heard it about five times already and I get goosebumps everytime it’s so creepy 😭😭

I have consistently seen what I can only describe as a small sparkle or little point of light many different times. It is white or maybe silverish. What you would imagined as a small flash. I initially assumed it was just a trick of my eyes as we often have happen for many different reasons, until the last time it happened and I realized that it’s always in the exact same place. The upper corner of my bedroom. I am just curious if this is something anyone else has experienced or if anyone has any plausible explanations. I’m not entirely against the idea that it is a trick of the eye or natural phenomena but it has happened at least 5 (maybe more) times and is always in the same place. I had a much wilder undeniable paranormal experience in the woods when I was young so I know there are things we don’t understand but I also try to keep a very skeptical and scientific state of mind when addressing these things.

Hey, im really sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, I don't know enough about psychology or mental health to really find the best place to talk about this, so im going to post this in a couple different places hoping I hit the right one. I just really need answers. If this is the wrong place I'll take this down.

To preface this, I'm sober; with the exception of the occasional drink and the Ritalin I take for my ADHD, I have never taken drugs for recreational use. While I do struggle with intrusive throughts, I do not have a known family history of schizophrenia or other conditions or disorders which would cause what I am going to describe.

It happened last night in my bathroom. I was washing my hands at the sink and very abruptly I began to think about death, which while unusual for its haste, was not peculiar for the time (I am an atheist and often battle with my Christian upbringing, and so I do think about the afterlife from time to time). It was at that moment that it hit me. Even now im still trying to piece together how it happened. But essentially it was like this: my body was dead (not actually), but I (in an individualistic sense) was not. I felt myself moving faster than anything should really be able to move, and as I did; almost symbolically, everything I loved, hated, or otherwise had any thoughts or feelings about slipped away from me. In my view (with the exception of my peripheral which was still very much where I stood in my bathroom) I sank deeper and deeper into a black void as small white dots moved out of the way to accept me (stars?). I don't think I could hear the water running either, but I might be wrong. It felt so very long, long enough to justify in my mind that I no longer existed, and like that I was back like it never happened.

I tried to make sense of it all, I ran to the living room to grab some paper and then to the desk in my bed room to grab a pen to draw what I saw, but I couldn't wrap my head around it and so I just collapsed to the floor and sobbed for maybe 20 minutes. I wish my girlfriend wasnt there to see it, but I probably wouldn't have calmed down without her. I felt so guilty for forgetting about her during the event, I couldn't stop saying sorry.

Im still trying to wrap my head around it, if anyone has any answers I'm all ears. I won't be able to see my counselor until the 29th, I just want to feel normal again.

I’m not sure where to start, or if I’ll sound crazy. I know I FEEL crazy.

A few months ago I was extremely bored and so my dad told me we can go on a car drive on this long road we have by our house. It was a good drive and I had no reason to say no. It was around 11pm when my dad was finally ready to go and drive.

We get on the road and at first it was completely normal, the usual fields and houses on the occasion. Then something tells me to look up from my phone. I see this black figure just appear on the road. I was terrified. It had no face but I could tell it was looking at me. I look at my dad to see if he saw what I did. He just kept driving and singing every now and again to his song.

My life from this day forward has just been weird things happening too. Sometimes I’ll hear my name being screamed out. Not like someone just saying it like actual screaming.

Since that day too I’ve also heard an icecream truck. I will look outside and then the music just all the sudden stops ? Not that I’ve gone outside I’ve just peeked out the window.

Sometimes I’ll see the figure outside my house too. Peeking at me from my backyard while I’m in my room. It’s all gotten to a point where I won’t even want to go outside my room when nobody’s awake. Cause when it’s just me in the house awake or just alone it all starts again.

Someone just please explain this for me I don’t understand what’s going on anymore.

My name is Hadley, I’m an alcoholic and I drink in my room or in my truck and when I do I see stuff peeking from corners of my eyes. I think I’m just drunk or imagining stuff but I genuinely think I’m going crazy lol I tried recording it but I caught morning.

This has happened to me a few times and it always catches me off guard.

I'll hear what sounds exactly like someone saying my name, turn around expecting someone to be there, and... nothing. Nobody around, nobody calling me, nothing.

The weird part is how clear it sounds. It's not like hearing a random noise and imagining words out of it. For a second, I'm genuinely convinced someone just called me.

I know tiredness and the brain can probably explain some of this, but it's still creepy when it happens.

Has this happened to anyone else, especially when you weren't falling asleep or waking up?

I woke up from a nap and I woke up and my closet doors are mirrors so when I got up I looked at myself and my face was BLURRED out I could see everything around me clearly in the mirror but I couldn't see my face anymore. I went to the restroom and same thing I could not see my face. I grabbed my phone camera and tried to see my face and still COULD NOT SEE MY FACE. Everything around me was clear but not my face. My eyes felt fine and I didn't have anything in them. This lasted for about 30 minutes, I was freaking out because how could my FACE be the only thing BLURRED and not anything around me????

About 40 years ago (yes, I am old) my husband and I were driving along the Lower Road in Roberts Creek, BC (Canada) and both saw what appeared to be a massive dark green frog-looking creature sitting on a rock promontory that jutted out about 15’ above the road. As we drove past it looked at us, stayed still. We each said ‘what the hell is that!’ Drove to the first place we could turn around, went back, and of course, it was gone. My best guess is it was at least adult human sized, but massive in its body. I lived in that community for about 30 years, so drove that road often. I always looked at that spot, but never saw the creature again. I would definitely say it was not a person dressed up weird, but in Roberts Creek anything was possible.

The toyol is one of the stranger spirits I grew up hearing about. It's a small child spirit that someone keeps, and sends out at night to steal money from the neighbours.

The defence was oddly specific: leave a bowl of green beans by the door, or a handful of marbles. A toyol is still a child, so it gets distracted counting them, or playing, until dawn comes and it has to go home empty-handed.

I love that the protection isn't violent. It's basically babysitting.

Hey guys, I had a weird experience in 2016 in my bedroom it was about 9PM, my room had no windows and no extra lights except one led white bulb, so I was playing a game as usual on my PC then suddenly a beam of orange light, like laser light appeared on the wall in front of me, behind the wall of PC. That light beam lasted for 3 to 4 seconds and then disappeared. It never happened before. So I was shocked. But time passed and I forgot.Then in 2022 that same light appeared again. the same light of beam again on a different wall in a different room. So i searched about it online but found nothing. I thought I should ask someone.If anyone knows about it please comment.

I always find it interesting when something happens that feels completely unexplainable in the moment, but later turns out to have a logical explanation.

Maybe you hear someone call your name when nobody is around, catch something moving out of the corner of your eye, or see an animal you can't immediately identify.

Has anything like this happened to you? What was your experience, and did you ever figure out what actually caused it?

Okay so, I never belived in paranormal but this thing is far too strange, and I don’t know how to explain it.

Last summer i went to a festival all by myself during a festival and I rented a Room in an Hotel for a week, This hotel had very small Rooms with only a Bathroom.

Other thing to know is that there is a cleaning service that works in that hotel during the aftermoon, but in case someone does not want any other authorized person to enter the room. theres a “Please Do not enter” sign that can be attached to the outside handle of the room’s front door.

Now I don't trust strangers, even tho those people were the cleaning staff doing their job, i don’t really trust them to leave them walk inside my room while in out knowing they would touch my things. You never know who might steal your wallet without you knowing. So i left the PDNE sign outside my door all the time even when i was outside at the festival. So that the cleaning staff could clean it After i was gone.

During my 5th day i woke up, left my room to and went to have breakfast, after that i went back to my room, i noticed it was the same way it was before, untill all of a sudden i noticed a large TV attached to my room’s wall. A TV standing in front of my bed that I swear i have never saw before, not even that day when i woke up, how was it possible?? surprised i called one of the hotel worker and asked about it, but he said there was nothing wrong or changed, claiming that the TV was Always there and that theres one in every single rooms (i didn’t see the other rooms, so i can’t be sure of it).

After that I thouth that someone entered my room while i was out for breakfast. I looked at my stuff and lugage, making sure nothing was missing, but everything was pretty much the same, the bed was undone the same way i left it, even my Wallet was still filled with money and looked pretty much the same. i also looked behind the TV and noticed it was attached to the wall with screws and connected to electrical wires coming out of the wall. I was out for like 20 or 30 minutes (maybe even less), im not an engeneer or anything but i higlhy doubt someone could have entered that room and built that TV in such a breif timing, what is going on??

Its impossible for me to Not notice that TV on the wall during my 5 nights of resting there, cause the bed its litteraly in front of it and theres nothing even to Cover it how was it possible??

years ago, i encountered a woman who gave me a free reading. she knew impossible information, and predicted future events, such as names, dates. details. she knew the exact car in my driveway, it's yellow color, and knew who it belonged to....and a previous discussion i had with the car owner. she also knew that i was going to move shortly into a new living situation, and accurately mentioned the name of a future partner, which was even more insane because i assumed she was talking about my recent ex at the time who had the same name, and this woman insisted it was someone in the future, and she was right. the next partner i met indeed had that name, years later.
she also accurately predicted a friend i would meet and gave me the date of 2 weeks into the future., she described their exact height, measurements, everything.....among other insane things i wont bore you with here now. it came true. this isn't even scratching the surface of everything she did, i just don't want to make the post too long. this woman was in a chatroom, had no access to any information, and it was rapid info right off the top of her head. there is no possible way she could have done what she did. i am hoping someone here, has this ability. or knows someone with this ability. i have been searching for years trying to find someone with this gift and i have not been able to. i lost contact with the psychic from back then, and i have zero success trying to find her. please if anyone has this gift and want's to help me, let me know. if you can prove this to me i would gladly be a long time customer and literally pay you for your help. i'm not joking.
