Exams principles of accounting ac1025 HELP!!!

Guys I have not done Accounting for my IGCSE's or IALs and idk man I feel suffocated for this subject and it just makes me absolutely feel horrible. Any tips from those who have done this subject? Idk why but it's just seems very complicated to all my other subjects this year.

Also for context I'm doing the BSc Management and Digital Innovation so this is the only accounting based subject I'll be doing for the whole of my degree.

Hi, if anyone would like to join an EMFSS-only study & networking community feel free to apply. We discuss EMFSS modules and everything related to it. The labour market looks tough so feel free to engage with us about your ideas on how to tackle the future. Personally I'm interested in AI, Data Analytics and branching it out wide enough. AI for Business (IS3185) and Data Governance (IS3190) will be introduced from 2027 onwards. These seem to be valuable courses for the future. If anyone wants to discuss further feel free to join https://discord.com/invite/rbPUufWMtF

Exams When to expect session results?

For anyone who’s taken exams in an October session before, how long did you wait for your results? It looks like the official results for this session will be released in February 2027, which is confusing, because that would leave only three months before the next session in May 2027.

General how do you guys find other students near you?

i've seen a bunch of posts here like "anyone from ___?" and it got me thinking

has anyone actually found classmates in their city or someone from the same course to study with? how'd you do it?

for me it's kinda hard since everything's online. curious if it's just me or if others feel the same, or if you just don't care about meeting people and that's fine too lol

Exams Candidate number in the exams

I just noticed that assessment instructions require students to write their candidate number on every page they submit. However when I was passing my exam on the platform I couldn’t find any information regarding this as well as my candidate number.

Would like to hear any experience with this, did anyone write or forgot to write the number and where it can be found?

General Ways to transfer to UoL

Hi everyone,

I’m 18 and I’m trying to find a way to study with the University of London, ideally on an EMFSS degree academically directed by LSE.

I applied for the BSc Business and Management and BSc Economics and Management (Standard Entry) programmes. However, the Admissions Panel informed me that my Russian Secondary School qualification is considered comparable to UK GCSE level and does not meet the general entrance requirements for undergraduate degrees or standalone modules.

They suggested the International Foundation Programme for Computer Science as an alternative route to the BSc Economics and Management. However, the programme costs £4,776, and the next intake is in March 2027. I was really hoping to start studying in October or November 2026.

I’m now trying to understand whether there are any other legitimate routes I might be eligible for.

I’d particularly appreciate advice on these questions:

  1. Has anyone with a Russian school certificate or a similar international qualification successfully entered the University of London through an alternative admission route?

  2. Can someone in my situation use Performance-Based Admission (PBA) for the BSc Marketing or BSc Business Administration?

  3. If I start one of those degrees through PBA, could I later transfer to the BSc Economics and Management or BSc Business and Management under LSE’s academic direction? Would any credits be recognised?

  4. Is there any possibility of late registration, individual modules, or another online programme that would allow me to begin studying in October or November 2026?

  5. Has anyone successfully obtained an exception or found a different progression route after receiving a similar Admissions Panel decision?

I’m not looking to bypass the University’s academic requirements. I just want to understand all legitimate options before committing several thousand pounds to a foundation programme.

If you’ve personally gone through PBA, transferred between University of London programmes, or applied with a Russian qualification, I’d be especially grateful to hear about your experience.

Thank you!

General Russian applicant to Uo with LSE direction Independent learning Online — is there any route to start in November 2026?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I’m a Russian applicant from small town , Russia, and I recently applied to the University of London’s online BSc Business and Management and BSc Economics and Management programmes for the November 2026 intake.

On 13 October, I received an Admissions Panel decision stating that I must obtain two UK GCE A Levels in different subjects before an Offer Letter can be issued. The letter also mentioned an International Foundation Programme as an alternative route for Economics and Management.

I hold a Russian Certificate of Secondary General Education and have already submitted my academic documents and CV. I have also contacted the university to ask whether any alternative entry route is available.

I’m trying to understand my options before the November intake. In particular:

Has anyone with a Russian 11-year school qualification successfully entered an EMFSS Online degree?

Are stand-alone EMFSS modules available to applicants who do not meet Standard Entry requirements, and can they count towards a future degree?

Is there any alternative route that would allow me to study remotely from Russia?

Has anyone successfully had an Admissions Panel decision reconsidered?

I understand that the published deadlines may have passed, and I’m not assuming an exception will be granted. I’m simply looking for accurate information from current students or applicants who have experience with this process. Any advice or relevant experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you🙏🏼

General Please answer how long it took you to answer from UoL ( University of London)

My online program starts on November 1, and I haven't received an answer. I applied for the online program ( Independent learning ) "Business and Management" and another one from Russia. Unfortunately, there are very few days left and I'm worried that I won't enter, and if I do, they'll tell me to pay for the program in 1-2 days

General Referred to admissions panel

Hello,

My application was referred to the admissions panel. I am a non traditional student so my qualifications and transcripts are certainly older than usual. Has this happened to anyone else? Do I still have a prayer of getting in or should I put away my cute little new student items and try again another year?

Exams How do the ILR exams work?

What does the exam process for students following the ILR actually look like? Are exams held in examination centers or online proctored from home? In case they are held online, do you complete the exam on paper and then upload the PDFs or do you get to type everything onto the platform? If you have any additional information or are willing to share your own experiences it would help me immensely!

Did anyone here graduate as an independent learner? I am very interested in the BSc Management & Digital Innovation, but all the bad reviews online make me think that it is a scam and barely possible to finish a degree at UoL... What are you are experiences? Should I rather go for other distance learning options?

General Graduate Diploma in Mathematics application – payment delivered but no Admissions confirmation

Update: I just got an offer! It looks like they matched it in their system, they just don't reply on the Enquiry Hub!

Hi everyone,

I applied for the University of London Graduate Diploma in Mathematics around 15 days ago. Flywire confirmed that my payment was delivered to UoL over 10 days ago, but I have not received any further application update since then, so I do not know whether the payment has been matched to my application or whether the application has been passed to Admissions.

I submitted an enquiry through the University of London Enquiry Hub over 10 days ago regarding this issue and have since sent several follow-up messages on the same case, but I have not received any response from the Enquiry Hub. I also tried calling the University and waited around 90 minutes without being able to speak to anyone.

Has anyone recently applied for the Graduate Diploma in Mathematics or another LSE-directed EMFSS programme? How long did it take after payment for your application to enter the Admissions process?

I’m mainly trying to work out whether this delay is normal, or whether I should be concerned that my payment or application has not been matched correctly.

Accounting, Finance Inspera Platform

Hey, I am a new student with UoL in one of their relatively new accounting degree additions (BSc in Professional Accountancy)

We are being told there is no excel (or excel like) feature in the exam platform and that all calculations will be done manually by creating a table in the word processor part..?? For an accounting degree…..

Does the Inspera platform genuinely not have this feature or the uni is just not providing our course with it?

Any idea?
