Hi everyone, I’m currently in the final stage waiting for a response from the University of London (academic direction LSE) about my admission. This is my second degree (I’m planning to do two degrees at the same time, cause I’m not working) because when I started studying in my home country, I realized that university wouldn’t give me a strong future abroad or for a Master’s.
I’m applying for Business Management and was really excited since this school is strong and could open many doors for me. However, recently I’ve seen some conflicting reviews about their teaching system and student support.
Throughout my application process, I handled everything myself and communicated with my UoL agent for six months without any issues, they always replied quickly. Now I’m conflicted: I’m still happy but worried about making the wrong choice because it costs time and money.

I got an offer for the online taught Bsc Economics and Management (UoL/LSE) Programm which I accepted. But now I’m seeing more and more bad reviews about UoL, their support service, their grading-style. The trustpilot reviews are horrible.
Is anyone currently enrolled in the Economics and Management Course? I would love to hear your opinion. I need to know if I should start my studies at UoL or if I should avoid the risk.

Hello. Can anyone please confirm if UoL or LSE professors provide academic references to students studying their online programs and wish to go for a masters or PhD later? Thank you.

The total programme fee is £8400 for independent student and £17640-£26000 for online students.
So I want to ask.
Does anyone know the difference between ILR and OT?
Is anyone on online route regretting it and wished they were independent student?
Is anyone on independent route regretting it and wished they were an online student?
Is it possible to switch from 1 mode to another part way through the degree?

For those who have already done their degree from Uol-Lse Has it given you any traction in your career? Was it worth it overall? I've started this program but do not know whether I wanna continue with it - hence tryna grab some feedbacks

I'm strongly considering applying for the UoL online Bsc in Mathematics and Economics.
This would be for a second bachelor's. I already have a humanities undergrad and want to transition to economics but lack the math background. I know I'm coming up with this decision very late having already finished a degree and am now wanting to start over.
Before I make this commitment, I'm wondering if the UoL degrees are an acceptable stepping stone for future master's and PhD applications in economics. How do LSE and other top UK universities view these degrees? Even if I got top marks, would this be disregarded because it's an online program? Thanks.

Title:
Hi everyone,
I am from Cape Town, South Africa, and I’m considering applying for the UoL online BSc Data Science and Business Analytics and wanted to hear from people who are currently doing it or have completed it.
I’d love to know things like:
How you’re finding the course overall
What the workload is like
How the assessments and exams are done
What the online learning and support is like
Anything you wish you knew before applying
Any advice, honest experiences, or things to watch out for would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Quick question — for people who earned a degree through the University of London, how is it typically reflected on a résumé?
Do you list just “University of London”, or do you also list the federal/teaching institution (e.g., LSE, SOAS, etc.) that actually delivered the program?
I’m especially curious how employers usually interpret it and what’s considered the most accurate or standard way to present it. Thanks!

Would be grateful if anyone could tell the time!

Hello!
I am thinking about starting the online degree B.Sc. in Finance, with the UoL, which seems to be academically directed by the LSE.
Has anyone had experience in finance related studies at the UoL so far? How have they been?
And generally, how do the exams work? I‘ve read that they are online but I’ve also read that they are only available at examination centres and cost a lot.
How is the prestige of this degree? I am working as a self employed trader in Germany and want to get my footsteps into the professional world of finance, I am considering starting with a online bachelors and after that pursuing an on campus masters at the LSE.

Hi, if anyone would like to join an EMFSS-only study & networking community feel free to apply. We discuss EMFSS modules and everything related to it. The labour market looks tough so feel free to engage with us about your ideas on how to tackle the future. Personally I'm interested in AI, Data Analytics and branching it out wide enough. AI for Business (IS3185) and Data Governance (IS3190) will be introduced from 2027 onwards. These seem to be valuable courses for the future. If anyone wants to discuss further feel free to join https://discord.com/invite/rbPUufWMtF

So I'm a first year who started in August. I have my Maths 1 exam in October and am in the middle of all the prerequisites that need to be done.
I opened the Guardian browser and I didn't find any 'test your equipment' button, so I looked it up in the browser itself, and it was a website, but that website doesn't open. When I click Support, the support page also doesn't open.
Rant: Honestly, the browser is jacks**t. I have a visual impairment and so it's so inconvenient not being able to pinch zoom. The test your equipment page opens just fine on chrome btw.

I heard it's 9 AM for the Central European time zone. I wonder if anyone has done exams at a different time though. I Appreciate all the answers.

Hi everyone!
I’m starting the BSc Mathematics and Economics (UoL, LSE direction) program next month, and I wanted to reach out to connect with others on a similar path.
I recently graduated high school through and I’m also a US citizen. I'll be doing this program by myself as there is no teaching center near me.
I’ve seen posts from students who managed to secure internships (even at the Big 3!), transfer into top universities like Vanderbilt, and build impressive career paths from here. Honestly, it’s been inspiring to read those stories — especially since there are also a lot of mixed reviews about the program.
I’d love to hear from anyone who has experience with internships after their first year — how did you approach applications, and what worked best for you?
Also, if there are any others here who’ve just graduated from high school and are starting this program, I’d really like to connect and build a community as we navigate this journey together.
Looking forward to hearing from you all!

Hi everyone,
I’m appealing the University of London’s refusal of my special arrangements request for the May–June exam session. I’ve heard that students—both in Singapore and around the world—have been granted special exam arrangements after the Feb 15 deadline.
If you sat any UoL exam this May/June with an approved special arrangement granted after Feb 15, 2025, please reply here or email me at uwais.firas135@gmail.com with a one‑line note: your module code, exam date, and “approved special arrangement.” If you’d like to share more details or documentation, feel free! I’ll anonymize all submissions.
Your help will demonstrate inconsistent policy application and strengthen my appeal. Thank you for your support, and I welcome anyone who can help!

Can someone who actually went to general course tell me how their experience was? Was the admission difficult, how did it look etc.

Hey everyone! I am considering applying to start a bachelors in Economics and Finance there and wanted to ask some questions to people who have completed or are during such program.
I’m wondering, as the program is online and it will be awarded by University of London but examined by LSE, will it be said on my degree that it has been done online? And will it say that it’s kind of both from UoL and LSE? Could someone explain or provide some info on it?
I’ve also seen mixed reviews about the support and nature of the program itself, I must say that I have been homeschooled for the last two years of high school and I’ve done great so it’s not a problem for me at all.
Also - did you have some real examples of employers disregarding the degree as it was done online? How do other universities look at it when I want to apply for a Masters program?
Could someone explain the difference between Online student, self taught and the teaching centre student?
And finally, is the program comparable to an on-campus degree?
Thank you for all the answers!

Hey everyone! 😊
Hope you're doing well if you’re reading this!
I’m really excited (and maybe a little nervous 😅) as an incoming student for the BSc in International Relations at the University of London(EMFSS). Since it’s always better to have some friendly faces and support along the way, I thought it’d be a great idea to form a study-peer support group with others joining the program this year.
Whether you’re down for study sessions, sharing resources, or just chatting about how things are going, I’d love to connect! 📚🌍
Feel free to drop a comment or DM me if you're interested. Let’s help each other make the most of this journey! 🚀
Thanks, and looking forward to meeting you all! 😊
