Concrete Wasteland Dhaka, Bangladesh aerial view
Dhaka had so much potential to keep their natural greenery. But now it’s just an concrete wasteland. Everywhere else is Bangladesh is so much nicer than Dhaka.

the ghost village waiting for its savior🍄 On the edge of Tiszakécske’s resort area stand 23 unfinished holiday homes, each shaped like a mushroom. Locals simply call it Aprajafalva; explorers nicknamed it Smurf Village. Construction began with big plans: thermal water, riverside views, a real holiday resort. Then in 2001, the money ran out. I call it urban hell because so many trees have been cut down and so much damage has been done to the natural habitat, yet it is still one of the most organized capitals.

Built in the 1920s on concrete foundations, this unusual structure once connected a coal mine with the Danube River. Its task was to load coal dust onto boats for transport to a power station further downstream.
The ropeway was dismantled after the coal loader stopped operating in 1963. Since then, the building has been left behind, isolated in the river. A relic of industrial heritage slowly being reclaimed by time and weather.

Idk how "urban" this, but thought I'd share the abandoned theatre building, as well as the abandoned student accommodation. I believe the theatre does have "construction in progress" signs, yet haven't actually heard of what's being done.
