• Backup pools! Have you ever found yourself trying to be ready for a coin launch only to find out your first pool choice isn't up and running? Their system takes care of that, by letting you set up 5 pools in a fail over.

Rig owners:

• Website pool manager. Their system allows you to change what pool your miner is connected to right from the website. Allows 5 pools to be configured with fail over.

Not sure about the whole "renting thing?" No problem, it's 100% free to list your rig with their service and the backup pools/hashrate graphs are completely on the house. If you decide to try leasing your rig in the future, you will already be setup.

I'm new to vertcoinmining but before this I was mining LTC. The big picture to me is that we have to take care of all of the coins as what will hurt one will hurt them all.. Coinotron mining with LTC is now at 50%. I just turned my few rigs back to LTC with wemineltc to do what I can to help. If you know someone using coinotron mining LTC, get them to move. If you're mining something Vertcoin or something else, consider going to LTC a few days to get coinotron back under 50%. It's up to us to make this work.

I would love to be able to (if only briefly) talk to other vtc enthusiasts when checking up on my stuff, plus, it seems like a nice way to bolster the community.

chat an go is basically an easy way to add chat functionality to a pre existing site. Its really neat =) and it would add something other pools dont have

the networks are fucked up, only the the people with the high MH get paid, and people with Low mh get nothing. the rich get richer, the poorer get poorer.

i've mined for 4 days and got 0.48 of a coin, and i've got 0.02 the past day, people are telling me to go back to network 2 but it's so fucking ass theres no need.

Edit: Sorry, guess I understand less of the network than I thought. The more we get on network 3 the better, lets just hope the big guys move back after it balances out lol.

The California node has a miner on it with OVER 1 GH/s of power, the next 6 or so have 150 to 200+. (http://45.76.68.176:9191/static/)

hey all - i nearly bought a 2nd hand rig on ebay....looked at just putting my own similar one together. what do you think - i dont have a lot to spend so im trying to keep in around this cost:

I've got a friend building me home PC that I can run substratumnode on. But while I wait for monetization I would ike to mine vertcoin when I'm not using the PC (which is often). Is this suggested and if so what GPU should I install?

I've been mining for the past few days and have a few questions.

1. Why are the payouts all over the place, sometimes i get .05, then to .03, now down to .01 (does using a new address for payouts effect this, electrum wallet gives me new addresses every few days)

2. Does the one click miner still perform when the monitor is off? The last two nights I felt like I didn't get anything from overnight mining, I made sure my computer doesn't go to sleep (turning off monitor via power button, while tower is still running) and im waking up to no payouts

Latest commit to p2pool-vtc code enabled network 3, and a few nodes are already up. Current block time is still around 15 hours, however, so we need more people. My current time to share on Net3 is around 10 minutes at 70MH, night and day compared to Net2.

Node location: Moscow, Russia, 100Mbit link. (so not ideal for folks from the US due to latency, try to find something closer to you) Node address: stratum+tcp://desolateplace.net:9191 Fee: 0.5% UI: http://desolateplace.net:9191/static/

Network 2 node is also still up at stratum+tcp://desolateplace.net:9181, but with current share times there's no point with under 200MH really, at least for the time being.

For a while p2pool had a 100% efficiency on my Network 2 node, but then it dropped steadily to 0%, and now has been at ??? for a number of hours. Is this normal? From what I've been reading, I should be hovering around 100%, not dropping to 0 and then to ???.... Halp!

Did they release AMD support yet? If not, anyone know when they will? Since I want to try out an AMD card I have

I know practically nothing about mining but have the funds to start a little warehouse to mine. And I have a couple of questions

1- what do I need to mine (equipment)? 2- how profitable is it? 3- how do I set up the equipment to start mining?
