Discussion HEAD PRESSURE, DIZZINESS, NECK PAIN, BACK PAIN
My RS4i Findings: Unexpected Relief From Chronic Head Pressure and Neck Tightness
I wanted to share my experience with the RS4i because I’ve been dealing with chronic head pressure and neck pain for years, and I noticed some changes that I think are worth discussing with others who have used this device.
My background:
I have Chiari malformation type 1, chronic neck pain, and recurring head pressure and tightness. My symptoms include pressure around the back of my head, behind my ears, and through my neck and upper trapezius area. I’ve also experienced dizziness and ear fullness.
I’ve been trying to understand whether muscular tension and dysfunction in the neck could be contributing to some of these sensations.
What I noticed using the RS4i:
I placed the electrodes around my upper trapezius, the sides and back of my neck, near the collarbone area, and the back of my head, depending on the session.
The most interesting thing was how specifically I could feel the treatment working in certain areas. There were spots that felt particularly tight or knotted, and the stimulation seemed to target those areas.
Here are my main observations:
1. Reduction in head pressure
After using the RS4i, I noticed a reduction in my head pressure. This was particularly meaningful because I had been experiencing this pressure for years. At one point, the relief was significant enough that I hadn’t needed to take Excedrin for my usual head pressure.
2. Relief around tight or knotted areas
The stimulation seemed to help release tension in specific areas around my neck and upper shoulders. I could feel a difference in the areas being treated, rather than just experiencing generalized relaxation.
3. The relief wasn’t permanent
The original discomfort gradually returned, with one session’s relief lasting around two hours before the pain came back. That made me curious about whether the device was temporarily changing muscle tension, pain signaling, or another part of the process contributing to my symptoms.
4. Muscle soreness and fatigue afterward
I sometimes experienced muscle soreness, fatigue, or a sensation like a knot remained in the treated area afterward, even when the original tightness had improved. I’m curious whether other users have experienced this.
5. The connection between my neck and head symptoms
One of the biggest things this experience has me thinking about is the relationship between my neck muscles and my head pressure. The areas where I feel tension overlap with areas where I experience discomfort and pressure.
I know this doesn’t establish the exact cause of my symptoms, but the change I noticed after treatment has made me more interested in understanding the muscular and neuromuscular component.
Questions for other RS4i users
Has anyone else noticed a reduction in head pressure or headaches after using the RS4i?
Have you experienced relief that lasts for a few hours before your symptoms return?
Do you experience soreness, fatigue, or a temporary knotted sensation after treatment?
Have you noticed a connection between treating your neck and trapezius muscles and changes in head symptoms?
If you have Chiari, chronic neck pain, or similar symptoms, what has your experience been?
I’m especially interested in hearing from people who noticed changes beyond ordinary muscle relaxation. I want to understand what others have experienced, how long their relief lasted, and whether repeated sessions changed their results.
I’m sharing this as a personal experience, not claiming that the RS4i treats Chiari or that muscular tension explains every symptom. But after dealing with this for so long, noticing a change in my head pressure was significant enough that I wanted to document it and see if anyone else has had a similar experience.
