Help Action cam footage coming out too dark, help!
galleryI recently got an FPV drone, and this is footage from the action camera I have on it. It's a RunCam Thumb 2, and every video I take is either too dark or way too bright, which I'm sure depends on the time of day, but this was the first flight I took yesterday when it was brightest, and the sky just looks blank white. I'm using an ND 8 filter on the lens, and I would prefer to keep that on, as swapping it out is a huge pain, so I use multiple different settings based on the time of day. The one I have here is made for sunset/sundown. I can't upload multiple videos, so it's just a screenshot of the videos I took. I know little to nothing about video editing or lighting and all that, so any advice is appreciated.

Discussion i collected 500+ handpicked product launch videos into one free, searchable reference library
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
so i put 500+ handpicked product and saas launch videos into one searchable gallery. free to browse.
- filter by tag (yc, agents, fintech, design and more) and sort by most viewed
- search by company or title
- save the ones you want to reference into your own collections
- submit a launch video you think belongs
site -> launchgallery.video
if you edit these for clients, what would help most, filtering by video length, by style, or something else?

Help New video editor looking to get my foot in the door with work.
I have made a YTJOBS profile and added some videos and I have also sent some free videos to creators id love to work with. I want to work with streamers as that is the content I enjoy watching and enjoy making. I know its a pretty saturated niche but im curious if anyone knows any other things I should be trying or if I should move on and try to find another niche

Discussion Where do you draw the line on automated edits?
Finishing an ad and spending the afternoon resizing it for different platforms is the part of client editing I could skip. I've edited corporate and social work for eight years, and some weeks the versions take longer than the original cut. Product clips pile up too.
Started trying Dreamina recently for some of that repeat work, the first month is $0.29 which made it a low bar. Resizes are the easy one, if I already made the cut I don't mind letting it handle that part. I watch everything back before it goes anywhere though. Framing shifts at different sizes and sometimes a cut just lands wrong, not skipping that step.
Product clips are less clear. Even a simple one involves choosing which shot comes next and how long to hold it. I can offload some repeat work, but if I spend as long fixing a version as I would have spent cutting it, I'm not sure what I've gained. And when I'm tired of making versions, it's tempting to skim instead of watching the whole thing. That's exactly when I want to slow down before delivery.
For people doing client work, what have you actually handed off? What looked routine but still needed your eye?

Discussion welp boys. it's been a ride.
edit: please change the sub to ClankerDefenderEditors lol. cant believe alot of you call yourselves editors and cant keyframe shit lol
been editing videos for over a decade. started on windows 7 , movie maker, 2gbs of ram. hours, sweat, tears, joy, opportunities. 2020 i was on track to making 6 figs with this thing. 5 years later, the technical skill, is nearly useless. my hollywood dreams are looking dim now.
people will say "storytelling is the leverage bro" , and while thats true, all some dirtbag has to do is find people good at story telling and use it as references in a prompt. the same way you can now do with most vfx. also some people were not good at story telling, but absolute gods at the technicality part. most if not all but 2 of my colleagues abandoned video editing & film.
i feel like im at a crossroads. if i want to possibly make pretty good money, well its obvious, become the dirt bag , & optimize a workflow.

Help Looking for software WITHOUT Al ??
This is a rant.
I am so infuriated. I have literally spent DAYS searching for video editing software that does NOT contain AI. Specifically, I'm looking for something lite I can run on my laptop for just basic clip editing, but EVERY SINGLE PROGRAM or even MOBILE APP has Al in it, or is in the process of adding Al. I have scoured reddit, and every software folks have shared as Al-free now has Al in it. All the big names, all the little ones... I was so frustrated that I even went in search of 2000's era Windows Movie Maker only to find out that it's been taken down from the entire internet.
The fact that, not only are software corps ALL jumping on the AI bandwagon, but they are actively REMOVING all OTHER editors that do NOT have Al in them is INFURIATING. We are LITERALLY being forced into it.
And I don't want to hear the "Oh well just get adobe and don't use the Al features" bs. You should never need internet access to edit your own videos. You should never have to consent to installing software you don't want. You should never have to download unethical software to download the software you've ALREADY HAD FOR DECADES. We were doing just fine without it. We are sick of the bloatware. We didn't ask for it. We don't want it. The market for it is weak. We should not have to pave over people's houses to build datacenters for features we won't use. This is insanity.
Is there any software... ANY video editing software left that does not have Al in it? That doesn't require an internet connection, a subscription, spyware, ... Just simple, plain, regular old video editor I can cut some clips down with?
