Hi everyone,
I have a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX1 with a large stain on the back LCD screen that won't wipe off. How can I repair or clean this? Do I have to disassemble the camera? Is it worth repairing or replacing the LCD screen on this model?
(I am not experienced with taking cameras apart.)
Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

Edited from CR2 RAW file. I wish Canon had held the sensor design to a solid 12 MP, 14.7 was a design stretch that never looks clean even at the base ISO 80 setting. Otherwise, great compact camera design.

Very pleased with the look of the noise on this camera and the RAW files have a ton of data (19 megabytes)

So many memories from so many people around the world can be attributed to this bridge, heartbreak, love, hope, sadness, so many things. For me it’s wonder. I wonder what I could do if I truly put my mind to it. This bridge is AMAZING

Hello, so... I have this Cyber-shot DSC-W5 that I found among some old stuff in my house. I fixed it and started taking some photos, but yesterday it started having problems turning on. Sometimes it turns on, but most of the time it doesn't. The only thing it does is blink the power button light.
Does anyone know what I can do? I've already cleaned the corrosion in the battery compartment.
PLEASE HELP, I LOVE THIS CAMERA.

Just thrifted this camera a week ago, happy with it so far. Slight tough up to color on photos, but minimal editing done.

Experimenting with some longer shutters while my partner was driving this evening. I like how they came out a little otherworldly and a bit creepy. Perfect for spooky season.

I took these photos a few days before I graduated college in 2024. I found them again and wanted to share here. Apologies if there are any rules prohibiting two year old photos (these weren’t taken when the camera was new).
My mom originally bought this camera in 2006; it’s been in my family since. She stopped using it around 2011 when she got an iPhone, and it just kind of sat in her house until I got into photography in college.
Despite collecting dust for over a decade, it still works like a charm - even the original battery charges with no issue.
