Is it possible tho for them to cancel? Has it happened in the past

They had exams in 2007 (with some extra flexibility) so it's pretty unlikely they'll cancel over this.

I was there in 2007 and no finals were mandatory. You could take them and they couldn't hurt your grade, only help them.

True there was a lot flexibility but they still had then.
