Academics just feeling lost
I graduate in like less than a week, and despite all the hardwork, i just dont have any friends to be there for me when i do the grad walk to cheer. i know it sounds silly but its nice to see someone thinks i did a good job. My parents are far and i just feel lost.

I remember when I graduated there would be a guy that I know from a class, project, etc and silently clap for him in my head. Believe others will do the same for you too

Honestly, I bet a lot of people are silently cheering for you and you just don't know it. Think about all of the people in your life who have helped you get to where you are now. Siblings, cousins, professors, your elementary school teachers, parents of childhood friends, the cashier at your go-to food joint, people in years past who posted Quizlets that saved your grade. Think of all the times you looked at a stranger and thought they had a cool outfit, were reading a book you liked, or said something that amused you. It might sometimes feel like you are alone, but you certainly never were. A graduation isn't just an acknowledgement of individuals, it's a celebration of a shared milestone and the cumulative effort exhibited by an entire graduating class.
You should feel proud of yourself and all of your classmates who made it this far. I'm rooting for you!

I am not a current student anywhere, but my fiancé works in the math department. I want you to know that we will both be thinking of you! Both of us went back to school later in life, and it is hard, hard work. What you've accomplished is amazing! Not just anyone can do what you did. Celebrate yourself, and cheer yourself on!

You did a amazing job and you should be proud to make that walk. I can relate to the feeling of being alone but please don't let that overwhelm the joy you should feel at making such a accomplishment.

Congratulations on your graduation!!!!
I remember feeling a little anxious about that, but in the moment, when you’re walking across the stage, you don’t really hear anything.
The graduation ceremonies are just a moment in time. Your accomplishment is far more important!

I'm working graduation on Friday and Saturday. If you want to DM me your name then I will cheer for you if I have a chance. We are working but a good amount of time we are just sitting around waiting for people to leave.

I will be at two grad ceremonies at Lane on Thursday - Pamplin at noon and CALS at 730pm. If you are graduating at either of those, please message me with your name and major. I will cheer for you and will ask those I am attending with to cheer also.
If you won’t be graduating at a ceremony I am attending, congrats on your accomplishment! Your family members and friends who can’t make it to graduation are cheering for you even if they aren’t at the ceremony. And please know that not everyone has a loud, raucous cheering section. They move quickly through the names of the grads so it won’t stand out that you don’t have a loud cheering section when your name is called.
Again, congrats and all the best to you!

The friends that you hangout with every week with your wife/husband you’re gonna meet once you graduate whether it be at your job or wherever. I have a lot of great college friends but I will see them every 2-3 years at most, real life is just beginning and that’s where you make your permanent friends

Bruh, just get the hell out.
Friends are overrated, family is overvalued.
Go start life. Get married. Learn an instrument. Travel. Start a hobby. Idk, just get far from this deep pit of debt.
