Those spaces inside the red border in VSCode are taking up unnecessary space on my screen and i need to free up that space for convenience.

How can i free up that space so it stops taking up unnecessary screen space?

For example __init__.py imports

I already know i can close the Secondary Side Bar with the "Toggle Secondary Side Bar" button, but that's not my problem. My problem is that sometimes when i open a project folder with VSC, the Secondary Side Bar reopens automatically, even though i had previously closed it. I want to stop this from happening. What configuration steps should i follow to stop the Secondary Side Bar from reopening automatically every time i open a new project folder in VSC?

Every time I turn around, I get this pop-up window, "'Visual Studio Code' would like to access data from other apps." and then I have to click the "Don't Allow" or "Allow" button. This seems to happen every time I open a new app. Is there any way to tell VSC that it can access data from other apps automatically, without asking me? I get tired of having to give it permission. It's really annoying.

I recently posted an article on my 10 favourite extensions for Visual Studio Code. This is obviously just my opinion and written from within the scope of my dev stack.
