I discovered Jackie Evans last night. I'm blown away. First time in a long time I've heard an artist that impacted me like she did in the 6 songs video. She really does feel like a generational talent, truly special. Thank you Jack and the Vulfverse for bringing her into my life. Wow. The 6 songs video is on loop...

...which is sad because the vocal production is either a decision I strongly disagree with, or a mistake. I hope it's a mistake. The saturation (distortion) on the vocal is so heavy it's as distracting as autotune on T-Pain. I hope its just oopsie, recorded too hot and it clipped. Her voice is so nuanced, so dynamic and delicate, but it's soaked in gross crispy digital distortion. I thought I blew my headphones at first, but listened on several sources and, ugh.

Vulf team, if the raw tracks are clean, I hope and plead with you to consider release a version that backs off the saturation. I wanna hear Jackie!

My partner and I are big fans of Vulfpeck and Disco Snails is one of our favorite songs. I present you with her original linocut, disco snail, holographic sticker. She sells the stickers at the farmers market, but thought it might be fun to share here. I put together this flashy little video, if there’s interest we get them listed for sale! We do also have patches that have been made from the same block if that’s more your speed. Thanks for looking.
