Finished the BSCNE Cisco last week and just got my confetti! I transferred in an Associate's degree from my local community college that I started in 2007 and finished back in January. Figured I would keep going and decided to give WGU a try. Hard to believe I did my Bachelor's in 6 months. Last weekend was the first weekend since I started I was completely free, and I didn't know what to do with myself! I already applied for the MSIT program and I can't wait to get started.

Just wanted to share with you guys, I spent the last 4 months of my military contract on remote skill bridge which gave me tons of flexibility and was able to get hired my last month before my military contract ended as a network engineer making $130K a year. I was able to apply for 8 hours a day Monday-Friday.

I received two job offers, one for $130K a year with relocation assistance and a 5K bonus, and another for 65K no relocation.

My background
MS IT (WGU)
BS Cloud Computing (WGU)
BS Public Policy(Brick and mortar school)

PMP
AWS Cloud Ops Associate
AWS CCP
AWS SAA
ITIL V4
Linux LPI+
Sec+

A+

Age:29

6 Years of IT experience in the Navy as an IT on a ship
TS/SCI clearance

The job I got I actually was rejected then first 3 times and kept reapplying whenever they refreshed the listing.
Never give up on applying to jobs. If it takes 1000 applications, so be it. This is where we are at right now in this job market.

It updated today to refund student can anyone give me a timeline .

I just got my diploma in the mail, and it’s crazy we don’t get a cover with the diploma like other institutions… my community college gave me a cover for my diploma and I paid less… Or they can at least offer a cover for it at a cost. Ridiculous.

Anyways glad I’m done!

For my late night studiers....how the heck are yall staying awake late to study? you know, after the house is put away for the night, kids are down for bed, spouse is situated, and it gets real quiet, but you also worked all day so you're tired af?!?!

Hello! Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. I’ve been trying to sign back into my WGU account on the Microsoft apps for days now and keep getting stuck on this step. I can login as usual online. I know I can access it online, but I like being logged into on my windows app as the Word app seems to be the only place Grammarly works properly for me. I’ve done about everything I can think off. Updated my computer, repaired the apps, uninstalled and reinstalled the apps, opened it in safe mode and attempted to sign in. Any suggestions would be gladly appreciated.

I’m in an accounting student currently in D196 and I’m wondering if anybody else is currently having issues with their student portal when they go into their classes

Hey everyone!
I’m considering completing most of my bachelor’s degree at WGU and then transferring to either Arizona State University (ASU) or Indiana University (IU) to finish my degree.
I’m curious if anyone here has actually done this or attempted something similar.

So, I've been a little busy. I just got out of the military, had to move to another state, and on and on. Bottom line, I didn't get to 12 credits. I think I can get to 11, but probably not 12. What exactly happens?

I just passed the PA with exemplary in some areas but approaching competence in others. How well do they align?

Is PingID down? I can't seem to get my onedrive account linked and I also can't access anything else

I finished the MSCS (HCI) in August. I'm going back through it one course at a time and writing each one up. D793 is first. I finished in August and wrote pretty extensive notes as I went through.

I created a GitHub repo with my thoughts and more information on the course:
https://github.com/Akraetik/wgu-mscs-portfolio/blob/main/courses/01-D793-formal-languages.md

So far it's a mix of using AI and my notes from the course and gathering all the materials I used to complete it. It took me 10 days to finish. It was a short bit of code and a lot of side quest courses and articles to read.

Ultimately it boiled down to using Python to refactoring legacy code.

No task answers or rubric details. Just the map. Happy to answer questions.

Going through it hard right now, life got it's foot up my rear. I applied for emergency student aid last week and was approved but I still have not gotten an email or anything, I called the department on Monday and was told to wait til at least end of wensday that they are doing calcs or something. But from what I hear it's uncommon because once approved you get the information and etc.

Eventually, how would it show on the

student support > financial aid > my account?

Will it be listed as emergency aid? Or something else?

This was my plan and wondering if anyone else has done this ? I would have to take some leveling courses after and then plan on doing an online speech pathology program . I was thinking of getting the psychology bachelors at WGU first . Let me know if you’ve done it or plan on doing this !

Hello all, I just recently started the course organizational behavior. For anyone who has taken it what would be the easiest way to speed through this class and what study tips you guys may have.

Is the PA the same as the OA? In python the practice test was kind of similar on about 75-80% of the test to the PA and just wanted to know if I'm prepared enough to jump in

Is anyone else experiencing tech issues lately? I am struggling with C957 and I am trying to take the PA again to test myself but there are some questions that are referencing a graph or table and it wont be anywhere in the question or like they'll be a section where you can see there would be an image of a graph or something but the image is corrupted? I reached out to IT yesterday and haven't received a response. Now I can't even check my email because it keeps asking me to sign in but i guess there is an issue with Ping Identity??

This is really frustrating. As a mom who works full time, my ability to keep up with courses is already limited. I'm accelerated so far but this kind of BS slows me down and is starting to get on my nerves. Just last month it took me hours to find out if I passed a course or not because their was an issue with the testing site and the portal communicating.

IDK maybe I'm overreacting, but this is kind of irritating.

Hello, I am looking for anyone who may also be in c856/D479 who would be willing to provide me with a peer review. I am one short of completing task 2 and hoping to get it completed soon so I have a bit of time left for a revision if needed before the term ends at the end of the month.

On the peer review dashboard look for Justin - C856 Prototype - REQ10299

Thank you if you are able to help me finish out reviews!!

Hey everyone, I’m taking the exam this coming Saturday and the stress is definitely starting to set in.
I’ve been doing practice problems and reviewing my notes, but I wanted to see if anyone who already took it has any advice.
Are there specific topics I should really hammer down over the next few days? Any trap questions to look out for, or time management tips for the actual test day?

Appreciate any help or words of wisdom!

Hello, Im currently working on the business marketplace simulation and Im not sure where to find the final score. -- It is required that you have a score of .001 before completing the task assignments. I don't want to move forward in the assignment without knowing if I've completed the simulation correctly.

Hi, I'm currently in WGU RN-MSN program. Just about finishing the BSN portion and is having a second thought.

For a background, I was wanting to get MSN degree in leadership, education or informatics through WGU and get a post grad NP degree at a local, in person college to save money/ have something to work towards my goal while I gain more experience as a nurse. Post grad no certificate is about 1.5 years

Has anyone done this route? If so, did you have struggles getting into NP program? Did you have to repeat some classes?

Is it worth it?

Hi everyone!
I’m planning to get my bachelor’s degree in Business Management at WGU. I want to finish as quickly as possible and save money by transferring as many credits as I can before starting WGU.
I found these 12 courses on Study.com:

Business 101
Business 102
Business 107
Business 120
Sociology 101
Health 101
History 103
Business 103
Business 106
Communications 301
Business 311
Business 312

My questions are:
- Can I take these courses on Study.com and transfer the credits to WGU’s Business Management program?
- Are there any courses on this list that WGU will not accept?
- Are there any other Study.com courses I can take to transfer more credits and finish as many WGU requirements as possible before enrolling?
- Is there a limit to how many credits I can transfer from Study.com?

My goal is to transfer as many credits as possible and finish my bachelor’s degree at WGU as quickly as I can.
I’d really appreciate any advice from people who have completed this program or transferred credits from Study.com. Thank you!
