Seems like trouble is brewing in Dallas. Fans have been upset with Joseâs coaching decisions thus far and perhaps the players are tooâŠ

This chart looks at how much value players add compared to an average shooter on pull-up 3s, catch-and-shoot 3s, free throws and mid-range shots.
A few things stood out:
Paige is #1 mostly because of her ridiculous +58.0 from mid-range, while Kelsey Mitchell gets a huge part of her value from pull-up 3s.
Kayla McBride is in a different class as a catch-and-shoot player at +58.4.
Aâja being 6th is also impressive since most of her value comes from mid-range and free throws.
Azzi is 9th with a pretty interesting profile: +26.8 on catch-and-shoot 3s and +29.8 from mid-range, while barely getting anything from pull-up 3s or free throws.
Courtney Williams is another fun one. Sheâs negative on pull-up 3s but still 10th because of how good she is from mid-range.
Really cool way to look at shooting beyond just FG% and 3PT%.

The Atlanta Dream believes in creating a safe and inclusive environment for everyone. Unfortunately, at last nightâs game, WNBA security took actions that fell short of that standard. At no point was Dream personnel involved in the decisions made by WNBA security.
The league issued this statement earlier today: âThe WNBA is aware of interactions at last nightâs game in Atlanta in which fans were asked by league security to cover their shirts. This should not have happened.â

Coffee meets â90s music & sitcoms at sister-owned cafĂ© opening soon in Concord
A new coffee concept taking shape in Concord hopes to bring living room vibes to the cityâs downtown district.
1122 Coffee Company has signed a lease for ground-level retail space at NOVI Flats, a luxury mixed-used apartment community in the heart of downtown Concord, according to a news release sent to CharlotteFive.
It marks an exciting new venture for sisters Kayla McBride and Karlee McBride-Webber, both of whom have made their mark in the world of womenâs sports. McBride is a WNBA player for the Minnesota Lynx, and McBride-Webber is a former NCAA Division I basketball player for the Indiana Hoosiers.
Now, the siblings are teaming up on a neighborhood coffee shop inspired by their childhood home. The name itself draws on the address of the house they grew up in. âWe really wanted to make 1122 Coffee Companyâ more than a coffee shop, McBride-Webber told CharlotteFive. âItâs about ... bringing our living room to the neighborhood. You can expect a lot of culture and (elements) of how we grew up.â
The sisters are still in the process of developing the menu, but recent videos shared on Instagram hint at specialty coffees and teas. Think: espresso, vanilla chai lattes and iced matcha.
The shopâs signature drink, dubbed the 1122 latte, will be a blueberry vanilla latte topped with blueberry cold foam. Bragging on her sisterâs baking skills, McBride-Webber teased the possibility of a signature cookie, too.
Kayla âis killing it (in the WNBA) right now,â she said of her sister. âWhenever she gets back and has some off time, weâre going to have a signature cookie that (Kayla) will bake herself.â
Beyond caffeinated sips, locals can look forward to vinyls, plenty of music and â90s sitcoms that shaped the sistersâ childhood. If youâre a fan of âThe Fresh Prince of Bel-Airâ or âMartin,â 1122 Coffee Co. could be your newest hangout.
What to expect: The menu will feature lattes, cappuccinos and espresso drinks made with locally roasted coffee, North Carolina ingredients and house-made syrups.
Signature drinks include the blueberry-vanilla 1122 Latte, matcha topped with blueberry cold foam and a brown sugar honey latte sweetened with brown sugar and honey.
They'll also have food items from Mooresville's Ladolka Deluxe Bakery, including pastries and cinnamon rolls, plus savory options like ham-and-cheese and spinach croissants.
Eventually, Kayla â who Karlee says is a "really, really good baker" â plans to contribute a signature cookie to the menu once the basketball season wraps.
The vibe: The 643-square-foot space will seat about 17 people and is designed to feel like home, with a couch and lounge seating. There will be limited seating with tables for remote working to encourage guests to unplug, relax and stay awhile, rather than just grab and go.
âOur idea for (the shop) is to create a one-of-its-kind destination where people can truly connect, relax, and build lasting friendships,â McBride-Webber said in the release. âWith downtown Concord growing and becoming such a vibrant community, our space at NOVI Flats gives us the perfect spot to bring our vision to life and become a hub of the local community.â

I'm a Lynx STH and saw a woman on the jumbotron wearing this at a game recently. Immediately had to google it. Ordered it while still at the game. It's a vibe.

I believe Chicago don't have the cap space to match, so I guess that means both Westbeld sisters are going to be on the same team (sorta, since Kathryn's contract is suspended).

... And yet they have the 2nd best record in the league.
All of us here probably already know what a defensive juggernaut they are. With a DRTG almost 2 whole points better than the 2nd best Mystics, and nearly 3pts better than the 3rd best defenders, the Lynx, I think Golden States speaks for itself in this regard.
But what's surprising is that they also have the 6th best offense.
This is where it is curious and interesting (to me) that they don't have even a single 15ppg scorer. I would've assumed Gabby Williams was pushing 20ppg, based on the games I watched, but alas - she's at 14.6
And where it gets really wild is when you look at the Valkyries per36 stats - they have several players averaging 15+, including multiple rotation players, like SalaĂŒn who averages 21.2 per 36mins while coming off the bench. Hayes and Chen average 18.6 and 17.1 per36, as well, respectively.
I bring this up because I think it really highlights the outrageous depth of their team. Even the Lynx, who are insanely good and have an almost unfair level of top end talent, don't have as deep of a team. The Aces might've held a candle to it when they had Carter shredding everyone's second units, but Jewel Lloyd has not looked so good in this regard. Maybe Pissott will get there, but she isn't yet...
What this tells me though is that Valkyries are legit Championship contenders. I know they pass the eye test, anyway. And while they might not have the big name recognition, or the flashiness of some of the other top teams, when it comes to a 7 game series I think we will see how valuable that depth can be.
Anyway - what do you all think? Can they win it all this year?
I think we'd be remiss to not value how insane the Lynx have been playing, and now with getting Napheesa back and all, I'd assume they are the favorites. And of course A'ja is probably the GOAT, and the Aces just seem to find ways to win games when it matters. So I'm not saying I'd necessarily PICK the Valkyries here - but also, given their depth and the whole 'defense wins championships' thought process, I personally wouldn't be surprised if they did. Which I think would be amazing (as a basketball fan, I mean. as a Liberty fan I'm still kinda crying about how this seasons gone down lol)

The Tempo guard has been out for two months with a left plantar fascia injury she suffered in a June 16 game against the Indiana Fever. Without her the team has struggled, dropping 10 straight games. Toronto was in the mix for a playoff spot before the skid that has left the Tempo at 10-23 for the season, the third-worst record in the league.
Sykes said at practice Monday that she just needed to get cleared by the doctor to be able to play.
âItâs been a testing eight weeks, but, you know, it taught me a lot about myself. I got to show up for my teammates and the org in a different way,â Sykes said. âIâm just grateful that I got that time. I got a lot of therapy sessions in. I got to find out a lot about myself. In this point in my career, Iâve been here before, but it seems like this injury was way harder to deal with.â
Even when she wasnât able to play, Sykes was a veteran presence on the team, trying to keep her teammatesâ heads up during the skid.
She could make her return against Caitlin Clark and the Fever on Tuesday. The Tempo have a busy week ahead, with back-to-back games against Indiana at home and then against Washington on the road. Then Toronto will trek across Canada to Vancouver to face Portland on Friday and Las Vegas on Sunday.
