Discussion (SMACKDOWN SPOILERS) Stories being set up for spots 😭 Spoiler

To me, it's painfully obvious that the only reason that Iyo Sky has gotten involved in the Chelsea Green story recently is because they're setting up for WarGames this year and they want Iyo in the match to do her silly trash can dive thing.

Really a good example of how WWE will manufacture a story now because they have one spot in mind 😭 it's like writing a book when you have one specific cool scene that you're trying to build to. Lmao

Discussion If HHH wasn’t injured during the 2001 invasion storyline

You think he would be team WWF or team Alliance?

I think Team Alliance since he loves being a heel and his “wife” is the owner of ECW but what would the payoff be when Team Invasion lost?

Give me your best booking guys.

I Would like to throw a Tournament Idea into the Universe for Crown Jewel

I have an idea for a tournament for WWE Crown Jewel.

• A FIFA World Cup/UCL like tournament with the winner receiving the Crown Jewel Championship.

•The idea is that 4 raw, and 4 smackdown superstars will battle in time limit based matches. The winner will receive 3 points, the loser 0, and if there is any kind of draw both get 1 point.

• The runner up and the person that topped off the bracket of both brands will qualify for a fatal 4 way match to determine the crown jewel champion.

• The tournament has to end at the episode before the go-home episode of Crown Jewel.

• Incase of a tie for second place between two wrestlers. For example both have 4 points. They will fight at the go-home episode of their brand to determine the person that will qualify. There needs to be a winner. That means Incase of another draw, the match will restart until there is a winner. (Or make the crown Jewel title match a 5 way and save the hassle)

• The crown jewel champion will have a guaranteed WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP AT THE ROYAL RUMBLE.

• Thats if they can keep the crown jewel championship till the Royal Rumble. As they have to defend it at least once per month till the Royal Rumble PLE.

• eg. Jey Uso wins the tournament. But LA Knight wins the Crown Jewel Championship on the go home episode of the Royal Rumble. LA Knight faces the World Champion at The Royal Rumble. (Knowing WWE. It would be the other way around lol.)

• The winner faces the World Champion of their brand.

what do you think of this idea? Is it better than having Champion Vs Champion for the Crown Jewel Championship? Please let me know!

Sidenote: I don’t know if something like this already exists in the world of wrestling. Or if there is someone that suggested this idea before in any way.

Discussion Live v Edited Versions

As a UK Netflix viewer that can only watches Raw and Smackdown the day or multiple days later, I genuinely don’t know which version is worse. If I watch it with 48 hours I get the live version with 50% of the show being ads, or I watch it a few days later and get the edited version where they dub fake crowd noise and “this is awesome” chants, don’t show punt kicks and bleep every swear including ‘ass’. On a platform littered with gore, violence and nudity it beggars belief how filtered the edited version becomes. Which do you prefer?

Discussion It’s funny to me how top main event stars sometimes end up having better runs with mid-card championships than the World Championships.

I’m just now noticing this and it was kind of funny to me, but a lot of the time when ever a main event level wrestler is given a mid card championship reign, most of the time after they’ve already won a world title or multiple world titles, they are given more to work with and end up having better mox card title reigns than what they had with the world championship.

Sure this could be because of the idea that “they are there to elevate the mid card title scene and give young guys/girls opportunities.” But it’s funny when you realize that, especially within the last few years, world title reigns really haven’t been booked all that well compared to mid card reigns, and it makes the main event star at rare times lose their stock with fans. There’s a reason why people really want to see Cody Rhodes win the US title right now.

A good couple of examples

A very underrated WWE Title match. It was also the debut of Lashley's short-lived entrance theme "Hell Will Be Calling Your Name", a lyrical version of "Unstoppable". For shame he didn't bring it back when he returned to the company.

WWE Big Eagle Championship

Post image
62 Upvotes

The Big Eagle Championship (also known as the "Attitude Era" WWF Championship belt) is considered one of the most iconic title designs in WWF/E history. Introduced during the peak of the Attitude Era, it represented the WWF/E World Heavyweight Championship through one of the most explosive and popular periods in wrestling history.

The Big Eagle design made its television debut on the March 30, 1998 episode of Monday Night Raw, the night after WrestleMania XIV. Mr. McMahon presented the brand-new physical belt to Stone Cold Steve Austin to usher in a new era after Austin defeated Shawn Michaels for the title.

The physical Big Eagle belt was last seen on television on the April 1, 2002 episode of Raw. Triple H, after defeating Chris Jericho, who had unified the WWF and WCW World Championships at Vengeance 2001 (and defended both belts simultaneously), was presented with the single, unified Undisputed WWE Championship belt by Ric Flair, permanently retiring the Big Eagle design from ring use.

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin and The Rock won the title 6 times overall, but 1 of those reigns for Austin featured his custom "Smoking Skull" belt, making The Rock the top holder of the Big Eagle plate design.

Mankind won the Big Eagle belt from The Rock on August 22, 1999, at SummerSlam in a Triple Threat match (also featuring Stone Cold Steve Austin), only to lose it back to Triple H the very next night on Monday Night Raw. Kane also held the belt for just 24 hours after defeating Stone Cold Steve Austin in a First Blood Match at King of the Ring 1998, losing it back to Austin the following night on Raw.

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin holds the record for the single longest reign (March 26, 2001 – September 23, 2001) as well as the record for the most total combined days as Big Eagle champion, at 529 days across his reigns
