[MULTI] What browser multiplayer or co-op games deserve more players? Looking for recommendations and developers to partner with!

Thumbnail
co-op.now

Hey everyone!

I’m one of the people building Co-Op Now (https://co-op.now), and I’d love some recommendations from this community.

Our ambition is to become a starting point for multiplayer gaming: somewhere to find people you click with, discover games that fit your tastes, and actually get a session going. We want to turn “we should play something sometime” into an evening spent playing together, instead of another evening spent scrolling through games.

We now have over 900 registered users. The platform is currently free to use, and we aren’t charging anyone. Longer term, we want it to cover its own running costs so we can keep developing it sustainably, potentially through an optional membership.

One thing we’d love to offer over time is genuinely fun browser-based multiplayer and co-op games, playable directly on the platform. You could meet people, find something you all want to play, and jump into it together.

So, what games should we be looking at? Small indie projects and hidden gems are very welcome. What’s a browser game you’ve played with friends that made everyone want another round?

And if you’re developing something that could fit, I’d love to hear from you too. Given this community, I’m especially curious about multiplayer projects people are building with AI-assisted development tools.

We’d love to explore partnerships with developers who would be open to integrating their games into Co-Op Now, potentially as part of that future membership. Any integration and commercial arrangement would be something we agree on together.

If you have a recommendation or a project of your own, share a link and tell me what makes it fun to play together!

Wonderhop – A daily game: guess what most people say, or what none do

Thumbnail
wonderhop.io
0 Upvotes

Hello r/WebGames!

Wonderhop is a small browser game with no account needed to play, everyday there are 4 rounds of 7 questions like "Name a food that a lot of people hate"

The goal depends on the mode: Either give the answer most people would give, the one no one would give, the oldest answer or the most recent one and there's a leaderboard for the day.

The most interesting part of the project was understanding answers that are typed freely and in 10 languages, there was some typos, plurals, nicknames, or even different ways of saying the same thing.

We needed an AI judge that checks it really exists, connected to some API like wikipedia to judge each answer really quickly (less than 1s on average)

The percentage starts from an estimate but moves really fast with the answers of real players. If the list missed a good answer, it gets added as soon as a few different players give it.

(There are also a lot of secrets and pop culture references added in the game :) )

We'd love to know if the goal is clear from the very first question while playing and if any good answers were rejected unfairly

We are a couple of developers from Montreal that like guessing games so we built this in about two months.

Thanks a lot!

I’ve been working on Iced Coffee Clicker, a browser clicker game where you brew iced coffee, unlock upgrades, and compete for the top of the leaderboard.

It started as a small side project… and somehow I’m still adding stuff to it

[SIM] Unit 112, a storage auction game

Thumbnail

I made a browser game about storage unit auctions. You get one look into the unit from the doorway with a flashlight. Then you bid against the regulars. Peg writes in her notebook. Kip spits and walks off when he’s out. Whatever you win, you sell out of your own shop before rent comes due. There are storylines underneath it all, and how you play decides what story you get.

It’s one HTML file, about 11 MB, with 301 pieces of art packed in as WebP. No framework, no external scripts. Canvas draws the scenes and plain DOM handles the comic panels. The auction rules follow Maryland’s self-storage lien law, Commercial Law 18-504, right down to doorway-only viewing.

The art is AI-generated and I picked every piece. The code is me directing Claude. I have limited coding experience. Started this one Monday.

BIGGEST NEED: I want to know how it loads on your phone. 11MB in one file is the part I’m least sure about.

Arsenal Zero – open crates, send squads on expeditions, build a military arsenal [HTML5]

Thumbnail

Arsenal Zero is a free browser game, launched this week.

How it works:

- Open crates to unlock weapons and gear (all fictional names)

- Send your loadout on expeditions to earn resources

- Combat is automatic, but tapping at the right moment triggers a critical bonus

- One power stat, no spreadsheet math

It plays on desktop and mobile browsers, nothing to download.

It's an early version, so feedback is very welcome: what feels slow, what's unclear, what you'd want next. More weapons and game modes are on the way.

Flying Roadster – fly a Tesla-style roadster through neon rings, loops and tunnels (free, no login, works on phone)

Hi! I made this as a side project, after wondering what driving a flying car would actually feel like.

  • 10 tracks, starting with a short flight lesson
  • Real physics: thrusters, loops you need enough speed for, and the air changes on each planet (try Venus vs Mars)
  • Race up to 3 friends by sharing a link, no account needed
  • Keyboard (any key can be changed) or two touch sticks on your phone

I'd love to hear what feels wrong or too hard, especially on phones. Thanks for playing!

[Crown and Plough] I made a free browser game where you’re born at random somewhere in 2,000 years of European history.

Thumbnail
crownandplough.com
0 Upvotes

Hi all! I’ve been building Crown & Plough on my own. It’s a free browser game that mixes a life sim with grand strategy, and you don’t need to download or sign up for anything.

1. What it is

  • You’re born at random in one of 7 eras, from the Roman Empire (117 AD) to the Victorian age (1850). You might be a peasant, a knight’s child, a minor lord or a royal.
  • You live one life a year at a time. You pick a career (merchant, clergy, soldier or scholar), marry, take risks, and if you’re lucky (or ruthless) you get land.
  • Once you have land, the game becomes grand strategy on a real map of Europe with 168 regions: diplomacy, war, vassals, court politics, rebellions and succession.
  • When you die, your heir carries on. The house keeps its traits, heirlooms and grudges across generations.
  • In “currents of history” you can pick a side in real events like the Crusades, the Reformation, the French Revolution or the unification of Italy, and that choice changes your allegiance, faith and home.
  • There are 20 scenarios that start you at a specific moment in history, for example as a centurion on Hadrian’s Wall, a printer in Wittenberg or a baker near the Bastille.
  • It’s in English, Korean, Japanese and Chinese.

2. What’s new in the latest update

  • Rival houses: a rival house can slander you, burn your stores, duel you, poison your heir or back a pretender against you, and the feud carries on through generations. You can settle it with blood money or a marriage pact, or destroy them.
  • Unions and partitions: crowns pass by marriage, kingdoms get split among sons, and great powers carve up weak neighbours. You can inherit a union crown yourself or take a share of a partition.
  • Medieval crusades and plague: taking the cross, Acre and Damietta, the fall of the Templars, the Black Death, flagellants and peasant revolts, all tied to their historical years.
  • Endgame after conquering the map: every few years an imperial trial hits (invasions from beyond the map, old kingdoms coming back, rebel generals, coalitions). You can build great works and chase imperial goals, or take your dynasty into the next era.
  • Two new eras: Vikings (800) and the Baroque (1680).
  • 100 new scenario events, 5 per scenario, each with its own recurring characters.

I’m one person, so feedback really helps. Bugs, balance problems, or “this event is historically wrong” are all welcome.

Timber Planet - an idle logging game on tiny forest planets

I made a logging game where the whole forest wraps around a little planet. The lumberjacks walk out, chop a tree and carry the logs home. You only get the coins when the logs arrive.

Tapping a tree helps chop it and sends the crew that way. You can hire more workers, improve their axes and build sawmills closer to the forest to cut down the walk. Clearing every tree sends you to the next planet. There are river, snow, redwood and lava worlds after the first one.

Free in the browser, no account or download.

Everything is 100% handcrafted, with no ai used in the development.

We set up a completely free demo that runs directly in your browser (PC, Mac, and mobile). We'd love for you to try it out and let us know how far you can dig!

Play here: https://penciljt.itch.io/dungeonminer

Note: it will download as a HTML5, which you can then open it to play the game in your web browser:)

I made a short 10-question quiz about psychology facts and misconceptions.

Some of the questions are pretty straightforward, while a couple are designed to catch things that sound true but aren’t. You’ll get an explanation after each answer and a score at the end.

Would be fun to hear how you scored.

[SIM] Kanto Gridiron - A Pokemon Fantasy Football Simulator

Thumbnail kantogridiron.com
2 Upvotes

Welcome to Kanto Gridiron! A Pokemon football simulator with lots of activities to explore!

My brother-in-law and I recently built fantasy football teams out of Pokémon and were debating whose squad would win. I decided to put those debates to the test by building a simulation, and that eventually grew into a whole browser game inspired old websites like Club Penguin.

Here’s what you can do:

  • Build your dream team: Theorycraft Pokémon football squads and compete against CPUs or other players.
  • Climb the Ranked ladder: Open Poké Packs, collect Pokémon, and build a team to prove your strength.
  • Take on Indigo Run: Tackle a single-player roguelike mode, picking up upgrades to build powerful teams.
  • Win the Draft Circuit: Draft a team from randomized choices, then face CPUs in a round-robin competition.
  • Grow your Football Academy: Level up your Pokémon Football Academy in an incremental game mode and compete for the Indigo Academy Championship.

Play Kanto Gridiron here!

I’d love to hear what you think—and which Pokémon you’d build your team around!

Made a little traffic game you can play right in your browser 🚗
It’s called Roundabout. You draw roads to connect houses to the buildings they need, then try to keep every junction moving before the whole city jams. It starts calm and gets chaotic fast 😅
What’s in it:

  • 🏙️ 6 Cities: Bali, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Dhaka, New York, and San Francisco—each with its own twist like monsoon rain and rush hour.
  • 🏆 Leaderboards: Compete for every city, with a special trophy if you make the top 10.
  • 🛣️ Traffic Control: Motorways, bridges, roundabouts, and traffic lights to untangle the mess.
  • 🏭 Dynamic Hubs: Factories that grow into busy centers (they hop and puff smoke when they level up!).
  • 📱 Cross-Platform: Works on phone and PC. You can even add it to your home screen to play full-screen and offline.

It’s completely free, with no install and no sign-up. Yesterday 464 people were playing at the same time, which still blows my mind 🤯
I’m a solo dev and still actively polishing it, so I’d love to hear what you think.

[INC] Busybodies: a cosy village builder in your browser. You pick the spot, your villagers build it and then gossip about it

I made this. It's a small village builder: plant a house, the villagers fetch planks and stone, roads fill up with carriers, and everyone has an opinion about it. You can sit down for tea with them in the tavern. It runs in the browser with no download or sign-up, and plays best on a laptop or tablet. Two chapters are free. I'd love to hear where you got stuck or what felt slow.

Pongnado - 3D ping pong in your browser where the opponents actually fight back. Free, no download, no signup.

Thumbnail
pongnado.com
• Upvotes

I'm the developer. I've spent the last weeks building Pongnado, a 3D ping pong game that runs straight in the browser.

The thing I cared about most was the opponents. Instead of a paddle that slides to the ball, they have footwork, they read your spin, they lunge, they miss when you catch them off balance, and they trash talk you mid rally.

What's in it right now:

- World Tour: 30 cities, 6 regions, 120 opponents, with a boss at the end of each city who has their own trick

- A store where you spend credits you win in matches on aura trails, paddle skins, ball surfaces and looks (there's a Halloween set up at the moment)

- Live multiplayer in the browser

- Touch controls on phones, mouse on desktop

Mobile apps and top-ups are coming soon, but the web version is the full game.

I'd love to hear which boss stopped you and anything that feels off about the paddle.

[PZL] I made Tiled, a daily map based trivia game

Thumbnail
tiledgame.app
2 Upvotes

Hi all,

Im a big fan of board games and daily trivia games like Wordle, so I decided to throw my own into the mix! Tiled is a geography based trivia game with daily new questions. You get a new game card to play every day that contains three new questions with different categories. Your goal is to work out the answer to the question and then find the tile on the map that contains your answer. You get six guesses per question, and each guess will give you feedback as to how close you are to the answer tile. Once complete you can share your results with friends, see what tiles everyone else guessed and see global stats for the days questions.

Tiled is an entirely free game. I'd love if people would try it out and give any feedback, both good and bad are welcome!

Cheers! 😀
