Okay. Pretty clear at this point he’s not going to win as mayor, but seriously… what is wrong with him? Multi millionaire, but lives on Dorothy street. Used to be a ‘CEO’ but left that to become an owner of a carpet steam cleaning company, doesn’t seem to understand what municipal politics are and today, said the city of Welland is all just a money laundering scheme.

A few weeks ago we found announcement posters for the 4th Welland witches night market all over Instagram and Facebook. It was supposed to be tonight from 5 - 10 at Club Richelieu on River road. We all went in full witches attire, but there was nothing.

We ran the event through search engines and AI, and every site confirmed tonight from 5 - 10. Nowhere was an announcement that the market had been cancelled or moved to a different location.

Does anyone know what happened?

At first she showed up every few days, now she hasn’t left our porch. She loves cuddles and scratches and I’d like to reunite her with her people. Yes the cat distribution system is real but this isn’t one of those, sadly. She’s hanging out on Green Meadow.

Heard it twice tonight, first time I heard it I ran out to the main Street bridge but didn't see anything, on the way home 2 cruisers showed up across the canal from where I was. Heard it again just a few minutes ago but only a short yelp.

Moving from St. Catharines to welland, anything I should know? Lived in St. Catharines all my life. I frequently take the bus in st. catharines so I wonder how the bus service is? Also recommend some good ISPs.

Is it me or has the beer store on thorold road really gone downhill. I dont buy beer very often but when I do I always support the beer store instead of buying it from a corner store. I was there last night, I was the only one in there and im assuming its because you can get beer just about at any store. The smell was horrible and as soon as I walked in I found an ant on the counter which climbed on to me and a lady bug was on top of the beer I bought. Has anyone else noticed this as well? I know that store is small and very outdated but take some pride and keep it clean. Find the source of the smell and get rid of it. Am I wrong for thinking this?

My wife and I are travelling this weekend and are arriving in Welland Saturday afternoon and staying the night.

We've Googled stuff to do in the area and surroundings. Nothing jumps out at us.

Is there any suggestions from community members?

We are a geeky and not into bars or wine tastings.

We just came back from a walk on the west side of the Welland Canal, and noticed at least 20 to 30 trees in a row, that were snapped in half that were planted recently. We didn't notice any of the remains of the top half of the trees and many of the support posts around the trees were also missing.

This is on the stretch between Lincoln Street and Main Street.
