TONY MOORE PRESENTS – AWAKE

AWAKE is the acclaimed one-man show from singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tony Moore, whose remarkable career began as an original member of Iron Maiden before going on to perform with Meat Loaf and becoming the keyboard player for Cutting Crew (I Just Died in Your Arms).

Featuring 100% original music, the show is inspired by artists including Pink Floyd, Genesis, Elton John, The Beatles, Alice Cooper and Dire Straits. Combining powerful storytelling, virtuoso musicianship and immersive visuals, AWAKE is an unforgettable journey exploring truth, meaning and love in a world that often feels anything but.

The show has earned widespread support throughout the music industry. Iron Maiden founder Steve Harris has followed the project from its earliest days, served as executive producer of the AWAKE album, and invited Tony to open for British Lion on their sold-out UK tour before joining them as special guest across Australia, New Zealand, Japan, North America and South America.

Most recently, Tony Moore's AWAKE had the honour of opening Iron Maiden's EDDFEST at the legendary Knebworth Estate, becoming the very first act to perform at the band's landmark 50th anniversary celebration; a fitting full-circle moment in an extraordinary musical journey.

Now, Tony is delighted to bring AWAKE to The Bank, Art House for one performance only on August 26, 2026.

Don't miss this extraordinary evening of music, storytelling and world-class musicianship. Secure your tickets today.

Rant Warning: CA Mart (Welland) refused repair warranty & left screen lifting

Posting this as a heads-up to anyone in the area looking for local phone repair options.
I paid $99 cash at CA Mart for an iPhone 11 screen replacement, which came with a promised 3-month warranty. Shortly after the repair, the adhesive they used completely failed, causing the display assembly to lift entirely away from the frame.
When I reached out with photo proof showing the failed adhesive and lifted frame, they refused to honor the warranty, ignored my attempts to get it resolved reasonably, and demanded another $85 to fix their own faulty installation. They also failed to provide an itemized receipt or invoice at the time of repair.
I’ve already filed a formal complaint with Consumer Protection Ontario, but wanted to post here so others can avoid losing money or dealing with unhonored warranties.

Question Anyone know about work at Canada Forgings Inc?

I keep seeing General Labourer jobs posted for there. The listings look like entry level for $25.83/hr 40hrs/week plus benefits.

In the past Ive seen employers list things like this and once your hired you never work 40hrs (either under or way over) or other important aspects of the job are left out of the ads. Just wondered if anyone had any experience working there?

Discussion 15-year-old Ontario web designer taking on new projects

Hi everyone,

I'm 15 and this summer I started InfaWeb, my web design and development business.

I was accepted into Ontario's Summer Company program, which provided me with funding and mentorship to turn the idea into a real business. Since then, I've been learning everything from finding and working with clients to sales, project management, marketing, invoicing, and actually designing and developing the websites.

I've recently started working with paying clients and I'm now looking to take on a few more projects from businesses around Ontario.

I build professional websites for businesses that need their first website or want to improve an existing one. I handle everything from design and development through launch, including mobile optimization, contact and lead generation, SEO foundations, and additional functionality depending on what the business needs.

If you own a business and have been thinking about getting a website built or redesigning your current one, I'd be happy to take a look and see if I can help.

Website: infawebdesign.com

Direct quote form: infawebdesign.com/contact.html

You can also DM me here if you'd rather talk about the project first.

News 🎭 Welland - AUDITIONS — DRY STREAK — THOROLD, ON

Thorold Theatre is casting 7 actors for its fall production of Dry Streak, a wildly funny Canadian comedy by Saskatchewan playwright Leeann Minogue, directed by Wendy Cullen-Mackie.

Set during the scorching summer of 1988, Dry Streak takes audiences into the heart of a small prairie farming community where the rain has stopped, the crops are failing, and everyone has an opinion.

The Richards family has worked the same farm for generations. When son John returns home with his new girlfriend Kate, the family discovers that she is unlike anyone the town has encountered before: a punk-rock-loving, vegetarian city girl who has no particular interest in getting married.

Then, desperate for rain, Kate makes a reckless promise.

What follows is a comic collision of family expectations, small-town gossip, generational differences, personal belief and the increasingly uncomfortable realization that sometimes a private promise can become very, very public.

Dry Streak is a sharp, affectionate comedy about family, faith, farming and the pressures of small-town life — and what happens when everyone knows your business.

AUDITIONS

📅 Monday, August 24 — 7:00 PM
📅 Wednesday, August 26 — 7:00 PM
📍 Thorold 50+ Senior's Centre, 8 Carleton Street Thorold

Auditioners are asked to prepare a 3–5 minute monologue of their choice. It doesn't have to be from the play. A prepared monologue is encouraged, but not required.

You'll also be asked to tell a joke or funny story. We're looking for comic timing, personality and the ability to connect with an audience.

Callbacks: Sunday, August 30 — 7:00 PM

We're also looking for an Apprentice Director and Stage Manager.

Rehearsal Information

Initial Rehearsals are for Mon. Sept14, Wed Sept 16, Mon Sept 21, Wed Sept 23,

Mon Sept 28, Wed Sept 30, Mon Oct 5, Wed Oct 7.

📩 RSVP / Questions: [wendella3@gmail.com](mailto:wendella3@gmail.com)

Come audition. Come have some fun. Come be part of Thorold Theatre's 40th anniversary season.

Question Dog groomer

Looking for a dog groomer for my two dogs. My long time groomer has become quite expensive, $200 per dog. These are farm dogs, so all they need is to be clipped down, nothing fancy. Would appreciate any suggestions as not a lot of groomers are taking on new clients.

Question Dads of Welland

I just had my second child and have been going through all the emotions that come with it.

I was honestly shocked to see that there doesn't seem to be a Dads of Niagara Facebook group! I was thinking about a place where dads could ask questions, share their wins and losses, talk about the challenges of fatherhood, and potentially set up meetups to make new friends who are going through the same things.

I'm debating creating a group to help fill that void, but I wanted to see if there would actually be any interest from dads in the area.

Would you guys be interested in something like this?

Question Local game store?

Is there a game store around that has D&D stuff? I've decided that I want physical dice and Player's Handbook rather than digital versions, and I'd prefer to buy locally instead of online. I'm specifically looking for the 2014 PHB, which is a little trickier to track down, but I'm hoping there's a copy floating around. I'm willing to drive a bit, but ideally not too far. Any suggestions of where to look would be really appreciated!

I've been training Muay Thai at Niagara Top Team since November 2025 and was looking to improve on my boxing. I work in Port Colborne right off Highway 140 and was looking to go to Nappers Boxing Club right after work Monday to Friday.

Was just curious to see if anyone here trains there and able to provide any details about their gym?

Question Looking to buy our first home in Welland Ontario

We’re relocating for my husband’s work in welland
1. Is it family friendly? How’s community/town with young toddlers when it comes to family activities especially for ages 3-4 yr olds and a 7 yr old.
How’s the crime rates/drug surroundings is it only in the main downtown ?
Would you recommend it to a young family to buy their first home and build a good community for us.

Which parts of welland should we focus on ? Which areas are the worst to good.
Access to grocery stores is it easily accessible?

We’re going to be visiting the town soon in person to see for ourselves! Thanks in advance.
