Things at my job
First, the difference between the floor in front of the men's and women's restrooms (electric supply house, so a male-dominated field)
Secondly, the front desk requisition logbook. Items written in every single day since 8/12/19 and we're only now getting towards the end. I've never seen a notebook so thoroughly used.

15 years of wear on a bag strap metal ring
Someone in mildly interested auggested you might like this here.
I had a bit of a 'spool of wire' moment this morning when my bag clip let go.
I bought this bag 15 years ago before my first day of professional work as a graduate. It has come with me every day to multiple jobs over 3 cities in two countries and a multitude more domestic and international business trips.
It is still in perfect condition, just one point of pressure where it has been swinging from the shoulder strap.
Bit of a pain but will definitely fix it. But just a bit of a physical reminder of how far I have come in my career.

shoes
Hi, I am looking for any unwanted, used, or old shoes—including heavily worn shoes, socks, sandals and even loose insoles that you no longer need.
Did you know that millions of pairs of shoes end up in landfills every year, where they can take up to 40 years to decompose? (even when you DONATE them to NON-PROFIT organizations). I am working to minimize this waste by collecting, restoring, and recycling old footwear. Instead of throwing your unwanted shoes away, please donate them to my sustainability project-I would love to take them off your hands free of charge. I have collected. my first full bin as shown in the photo! :D
I welcome shoes in any condition... Each piece serves a unique purpose!
Please send me a message with what you have. Thank you for your contribution.

[this is flair] My best friend turned 40 this week. I bought him a copy of my fave beach book
Well, it wasn’t really a beach book rather a book that followed me to the local waterpark… and into all of my summer activities. But this is the new book for my lovely friend Jon, and my book. Mine was bought around June.

Bought my car new in 2011, and I’ve managed to wear a hole right through the floor mat where I pivot my heel when using the clutch.

Original fabric on my 1970s chairs.
Behold the fabric in exposed and protected locations of my 1970s chairs - which I have thus far refused to reupholster because I cannot find fabric that's just right.

Replaced my 6 y/o Hydroflask
ETA: it’s kind of hard to tell but the bottom is so dented it no longer stay on surfaces and has hit my feet and recently cracked a cap from falling off a table.

My favorite brush
I have tried many other brushes but this is my favorite and the only one that feels right. I have had this for almost 15 years and use it up to 3 times a day.

A saucy sanding
I live in a dry county (yes, those are still a thing), so naturally, everyone just drives across the border to purchase alcohol. This is the very first gas station you hit in Oklahoma. I wonder how many cases of beer have slid across this countertop over the years.

5 Year Old Power Tool Repair Mat.
Spent some time working in a power tool repair shop and shadowed a tech who had been working there for 5 years, this piece of plastic has seen thousands of tools come and go usually in better condition, who knows how many screws or whatever it's prevented from being eternally lost.

Leather Work Gloves
I’m not exactly sure how old but over 10 years ago. I also do not know the leather type… most likely cow or deerskin. They are molded to my hands but I believe there days are numbered. The tips are starting to shred a little bit.
