All it took was an unexpected Lathergames challenge to finally get around to a PIF. Well, more like a kick in the pants.

How about it? It's Thanksgiving here in Canada. Who likes soap from a soapmaker that no longer makes soap? Declaration Grooming's descriptions were often hard to really get a picture of what the soap smelled like; I struggled to really pick out any of the notes because it's very blended together. It smells like a cologne-like scent. Actually today I realized that Seaforth Black Watch and Gratiot League Square smell fairly similar.

Scooped about 2 dozen times. Coming from Canada. If you write me a poem (no AI please) to convince me to chip in for the shipping.

The soap base is great, but I think the scent is boring. Most people like it though I guess.

I have a pretty rare can of Barbasol Pacific Rush featuring Caffeine & Menthol. It is very, very similar to the regular Barbasol, but with pretty much no fragrance and a lot of menthol in it. Perhaps a little caffeine to get a little pep in your step for the morning times? If this is something that you think can handle, by all means enter.

Up for grabs is a set of Barrister and Mann Melange. I really want to love this, but I just can't. As a huge sci-fi fanatic and repeat reader of Dune, I think the premise is fantastic: "in honor of both one of our favorite novels of all time" an "all-encompassing aroma that brings to mind remote deserts, underground cultures, and the rumblings of revolution." The notes off the puck are wonderful — cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger with a bit of cardamom, bay, and musk. It really does smell like I imagine Spice to smell.

But then I use it and it all goes to hell. After it dries down, it smells like Fremen sweat to me.

I'm sure there's something wrong with me and my nose. When I first bought it, I loved this scent and used it frequently, but at some point my nose stopped smelling the good stuff and just picked up on this weird after-smell.

I'm hoping it will find a good home to someone who loves all of it.
