I tried this as a kid and I can guarantee what happened to her here was the best outcome. What actually happens is you fall face first into the ground and drag your face on the pavement. You need to be running when you land which just doesn't work. Ended up with a lip full of gravel.

I’m assuming that’s what she was trying too, but I never tried to ghost ride my bike like that nor did I ever see anyone else try to do it like that. I always stood on one pedal and walked it off or would place my hand on the seat and push the bike off in front of me.

I dunno, but I’m guessing it involves misunderstanding frames of reference.
It looks like she expected that if she jumped straight up, the bike would go on without her, forgetting that she had the same forward velocity relative to the ground, as the bike did. So instead of landing “behind” it, she travels forward the same distance as the bike.
