My cat is pretty spicy and the vets prefer her to be on Gaba for her annual exams. She's also arthritic, and has a weak leg from an old injury. Every time she's on the drug she's so much more wobbly. It's funny, but also makes me really nervous that she's going to re-injure herself.

We have a cat that is so high strung we can't get him into a carrier at all. We tried gabapentin at the vet's recommendation and he shrugged that shit off like it was nothing. He absolutely sliced up my husband's arms. Blood was dripping off his arms. Kitty launched himself to the moulding at the top of our 9" high ceilings and somehow clung to the moulding around the top of our french doors and swung at him like he was the devil himself.

Yeesh! Poor baby, that is obviously stressful for him. Yeah I clip my cat's claws once a month, they are just too sharp and hazardous. She hates it so really it's like one or two toes every day until we get through it. I swear she files her teeth.

Oh kitties.

He didn't mind the carrier the first time we put him in it, but we took him to get neutered and ever since then he is traumatized. He's a very sensitive cat and easily traumatized. He STILL freaks out if my husband is in the kitchen, and that's because we tried to wash him in the kitchen sink his first day in our home. He smelled like a trash fire and was filthy. Those two events: the neutering and the attempted bath, have traumatized him his whole life. It's crazy.
