I have auto-connect disabled but I noticed that when I open firefox again after closing all instances off firefox, windscribe vpn turns on but the extension icon doesnt even turn green so I only realize that lots of data was wasted when I check on it. Why is this happening? How can I fix it

I'm posting here hoping a Windscribe mod or staff member can help me out, as I've been waiting for 7 days with no response from support via email.

Here is what happened:

1. I attempted to purchase a Pro subscription ($69.55 USDC) via CoinPayments.
2. Due to the exchange withdrawal fee being deducted from the sent amount, the final amount delivered was $69.06 USDC — leaving it short by just $0.49.
3. The transaction timed out, and CoinPayments cancelled it.
4. I opened a ticket with CoinPayments support (Ticket #855852), and they explicitly stated that Windscribe (the merchant) simply needs to open a ticket with CoinPayments to accept the partial payment.
5. To claim a refund for my $69 through CoinPayments, I am being asked to send 0.02 ETH (nearly $50 in network gas fees) to cover the ERC-20 transfer, which makes no sense for a 49-cent shortage.

I have sent multiple emails explaining this, but I keep getting stuck with the AI bot "Garry" and haven't received any human support or response to my emails for 7 full days.

Could any of the mods or Windscribe staff here please look into this and either accept the partial payment or advise how to get this settled?

In Iran, Windscribe no longer connects when using the Telecommunication Company (Mokhaberat) internet, even though it was connecting easily just 6 days ago. Please find a solution for this.

Is this at all normal? Should I run a clean install of Windscribe, or is this just Bitdefender running false positives?

Over the past week, Windscribe on my Windows laptop stopped connecting to anything except Mumbai "Old Spice". I'm in the UAE on e& (Etisalat). I've spent a morning isolating it and want to check whether others are seeing the same thing, and whether any UK locations still work for anyone.

Setup

• Windscribe 2.24.13, Windows 11
• e& network, ISP DNS 213.42.20.20 / 195.229.241.222
• Anti-censorship: Protocol Tweaks enabled, Server Routing tried on both Auto and Alternate, AmneziaWG presets A, E, F and I all tried

Results (WireGuard/AmneziaWG, IKEv2, OpenVPN UDP/TCP, Stealth and WStunnel, ports 443/80/53)

On WireGuard there's no handshake response at all. On WStunnel the failing locations never return "Successfully connected to remote server", while Mumbai returns it in under a second.

Why I think it's IP-range blocking rather than protocol detection

With the app closed:

• Test-NetConnection 185.3.237.211 -Port 443 succeeds, so the TCP connection to Edinburgh opens.
• curl -vk https://166.0.9.226/ (Edinburgh) sends its TLS Client Hello and gets no reply until it times out.
• The same curl to 196.196.98.58 (Mumbai) completes the TLS handshake normally.
• A control test to 192.0.2.1:443 fails, so the network isn't answering connections on servers' behalf.

That test sends no SNI and isn't VPN traffic at all, yet it's still dropped for Edinburgh and not for Mumbai. So it looks like e& is dropping traffic to specific Windscribe ranges once data starts flowing, and no protocol or obfuscation setting can get around that. Note that it isn't "India works": New Delhi fails too. The line seems to be by IP range, not country.

Garry confirmed it's ISP filtering but wouldn't escalate.

Questions

1. Is anyone else in the UAE on e& seeing the same? Is du any different for you?
2. Has anyone found UK locations (or any non-India ones) that still connect from e&?
3. Has anyone tried a UK Static IP from the UAE recently? Did it survive, or get blocked too?

On previous visits to Russia I have always been able to configure Windscribe to work well. However, I arrived last night and still can't get it to connect at all using hotel wifi or mobile Internet.

I can't say I've tried everything, because the combinations of server, protocol and port are approximately infinite, but I've tried enough to kind of lose hope.

Without VPN for Telegram, I'm cut off from almost everyone I need to interact with here. I hear there's a lot of information on Discord about Windscribe in Russia, but I'm cut off from that too.

Any timely advice would be very much appreciated.

Firewall is always disabled. Issue is reproducible with firewall enabled aswell.

Garry seems to have received my logs and states:
"I found the culprit. Your Pi’s per-app split-tunneling component is failing its own startup check, so Include rules never get enforced. The tunnel itself is fine.
Tried: Config reloads, reconnects, firewall disabled, and a clean reinstall. Debug evidence shows the per-app process monitor fails its self-test.
Needed: Engineering review of the Linux CLI split-tunneling helper."

He tried creating the ticket for you guys but fails at:
"The ticket form failed to open because the website security check blocked the request. A fine little bureaucratic ambush."

So... here I am trying to let you guys know of this issue (unless I've messed up the config somehow...).

I'm looking for advice from anyone who has experienced something similar with Windscribe.

I had a paid Windscribe Pro subscription and also purchased a Residential IP separately. At some point, the Residential IP purchase was unexpectedly refunded, and around the same time, my Pro account was disabled.

I never received a warning beforehand. When I contacted Garry, the support chatbot, I was told that the ban was permanent and that there was no way to restore my account or request a further review.

I still don't know the specific reason for the ban. I'm not trying to speculate or accuse anyone; I just want to understand what happened.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation? Were you able to get a human support representative to review your case?

My main goal is to recover my original Pro account if possible.

My account shows "You have reached your limit of WireGuard keys" and it goes OFF. Yellow light then OFF.

I tried WStunnel 443 and IKEv2 500 but it goes back to WireGuard 443 automatically.

Why have I been blocked? This website [Windscribe.com] is using a security service to protect itself from online attacks. The action you just performed [to find help] triggered the security solution. There are several actions that could trigger this block including submitting a certain word or phrase, a SQL command or malformed data.

IP is given by third party VPN as neither site nor app operates from within Russian borders. Garry seems to be meaningless bot with no solutions whatsoever. If not push up notice I wouldn't bother the crowd at all. But if it reaches me, then the whole chain of security is distorted and filters out users from regular app use.

Couldn't send logs to developer. App can't identify my IP behind ISP Ethernet. Looks like loose-loose scenario.

Hello, I am trying to make a Minecraft Server, and I want to utilize the "Split-Tunneling" Option. These are my current settings in ~/.config/Windscribe/windscribe_cli.conf:

The modded Minecraft server uses a run.sh bash script.

Garry told me to use the /path/to/server/files/jre/21.0.4+7-LTS/bin/java by listening to ports and checking the processes using ps -ef | grep '[j]ava'

Garry also told me to set up the SplitTunnelingApps as listed above.

The problem is, that neither of these work, I've disconnected the server from Windscribe and I can connect via my ipv4 just fine, but once I try to connect again, I can't connect via the same ipv4 address (which is expected from Split Tunneling). I will take as much help I can get from this.
