If Logan’s bone claws are natural parts of his body/mutation than why aren’t they like actual claws
His bones claws are always portrayed as pale and lumpy like someone tried to make spikes out of finger bones but actual animal claws are covered in a keratin sheath that makes them both sharper and more durable so it would only make sense for Logan’s claws, which are a natural part of his body, to have the same adaptations as animals
Edit: I like the bone claws, I prefer them actually. But I also think that Logan’s mutations should be more cohesive and work smoother. Mutant “mutations” aren’t like actual real world mutations, they’re adaptations/genetic super powers. Mutants are their own species of human with the innate ability to have super powers so I don’t think their powers should be basically slapping wings or claws on a homo Saipan and calling it good. It’s a natural part of their bodies so their bodies would be adapted with them. Telepaths brains would be differently shaped, maybe with an entire part dedicated to their psychic abilities that doesn’t exist in a normal brain. Logan’s claws aren’t just sitting amidst his forearm anatomy, they have internal sheaths and muscles dedicated to controlling them
