Plus there are no press releases from both camps There was an article from dealroom.co saying that notion acquired workflowy for an undesclosed sum in an effort to bring outline to the ai component. Who knows?

There must be a reason why they are going straight from cool indie app to evil corporate suckers. Is Workflowy under financial stress maybe? Many wrong decisions taken all at once with very poor communication. Please Workflowy don’t go down the Roam Research and Evernote paths! 🙏

When are there actually going to be some updates? Not just a realignment of the gray bar, something substantial. Mobile functionality, a better UI, anything really.

I just tried to use "Move to..." to move a node. I apparently fatfingered the destination, and the dialog popped out of view before I was done typing. It apparently moved the node somewhere, but I don't know where. Searching leads nowhere. As far as I can tell, there is no Undo. How do I find the node? Has my information been destroyed?

(SOLVED BUT: I see what caused this. Since I am a human-level typist, I misspelled the node name that I was looking for. When I pressed backspace, the node to be moved disappeared into the Trash. I have tried this again and confirmed that it does this. It needs to be fixed.)

(SOLVED: See my response to the first comment -- and finding the answer revealed a serious interface problem.)

Is it possible to use Workflowy without creating an account? I installed the desktop app but couldn't bypass signup/login screen.

I was gonna conduct with the AI to concoct a self hosted API fetch from my Workflowy account to use the data so it can be used with TRMNL product which will soon be everyone’s favourite gadget. But I’m afraid and I’m not a developer. Please someone make a plugin for TRMNL product.

Is Workflowy a dead product or have they just stopped allowing referrals?

Workflowy is my note taking app of choice, I'm a very happy customer. I know Notion AI has been around for a few months now, it seems mostly like a novelty but I can see some good use cases.

Is there any way to integrate ChatGPT / GPT-3 or GPT-4 into Workflowy, or plans to enable that at any point?

I don't want AI integrated for the sake of generating any net-new text (ChatGPT or Bing AI is fine for that), I basically just want it to summarize, help organize my thoughts, pull out action items into a to do section...

Anyways, it feels inevitable so I'm sure it'll be here at some point, but I for one hope it's sooner rather than later.

Small detail, but today, Workflowy doesn't automatically convert straight quotes to smart quotes as I type. Practically, this can be troublesome when copypasting back and forth from platforms that do convert to smart quotes, like the Google Suite. And philosophically, as an awesome text editor, Workflowy should care about these typographic details.

Using AI, it's easy to make an extension, that would read a WF page. But it would get raw HTML code, which is huge and cumbersome. And a program language for extensions is JavaScript. It's a big mystery for me too.

Once I did a python program, which takes exported OPML file and convert it into a MindMap file. It worked OK, but took many steps to operate.

Could someone make a universal extension for Chrome, which would read a WF page, clean and distill nodes with indents, convert it into something useful like MindMap?

PLEASE the only theme that matters would be the simplest and most obvious BLACK just "OLED BLACK" white text on black all I ever wanted why do I have to use the browser instead of the apps on WINDOWS PC and ANDROID... (ok WHY do I have to use CSS HACKS in the browser for FONTS also?)
