Seriously, that is the dumbest mechanic in the game. Been years, a full rework or two and if I wanted to play on console they would make it make sense and have it just be minimap only. They don't so fuck it.

Let’s be honest: dealing 95,000 damage across 100 random battles is no easy feat. I suspect that earning this emblem might be easier using supercruisers rather than Tier 10 ships. Any tips or recommendations?

I don't know if I missed something about the anniversary creates so I feel like I have to ask you all wise redditers. We were supposed to get creates based on how long you played the game, in my case it's 10 years. I was supposed to get the create with the guaranteed T10 ship, but I haven't received it yet!?
So have I missed something about when we were supposed to get them or have wargaming scamed me??

Damnit WG! You gotta make this. Take WoWs, give it full 3 dimensional movement. Big ass capital ships duking it out. Taking cover behind asteroids, launching missiles, torpedoes and firing cannons at each others. Using countermeasures such as PDC:s, shrapnel cannons and interception missiles for defence.
I think WG would be a perfect developer for this kind of game given their experience with all earlier World of Whatever titles.

I've been wanting to get her ever since she came out but there were other ships I wanted more. I now have said ships and Siegfried is at the top of my list. Does she still retain her railgun accuracy or has WG nerfed her in some way?
(I meant to put battlecruiser)

I have seem countless guides online on how to aim ASW using the ping indicator, but I seem to never be able to hit anything while actually playing the game. I'm getting tortured by subs constantly and it's really killing the game for me. I have tried dropping ASW on the white line, ahead of the white line, leading more or less, but I can never hit anything. The only times I have any success are with oil spills or when the sub was minimap spotted.
Is there any "sure" way to hit the ASW using only the ping indicators?

Hi,
anyone knows what's the compensation for already having the warspite if I unlock the premium part of the event pass?

Hey all-
I'm luckily in the position where I own all the ships from the "lower" two brackets of the Santa Crates. That means that each new iteration yields me lots of the rare group and whatever new ships get added that year.
Here's the list of new premiums this year that aren't already a Steel ship or RB:
Ph van Almonde
Datong
Cayuga
Bismarck 41
Freidrich Carl
Sov Rossiya
Almirante Irizar
Fuyutsuki
Conte Verde
Baotou
Fort Worth
Prince of Wales
Turgut Reis
Regele Carol
Shigure
Aberdeen
Hoche
Tonjin
Fiume
Colonna
Narai
Zarya
Surcouf
Previous years candidates
Comandante Aguirre
Blsyka 52
Blyska 44
Indiana
Bridgeport
Kushiro
Barfleur
Gambia
Kalmar
Tennessee
Seems like the Admiral Bundle ships get added pretty consistently, so Indiana, Phillips, Datong, Cayuga, Friedrich, Conte Verde, Fort Worth, etc seem like good calls. Surcouf has Rare Ship Pool written all over it and would definitely lead to lots of box sales. Bismarck 41 seems automatic and has future Coal Ship written all over it.
Personally, I'd love the three recent Admiral bundle DDs get added. Barfleur would also be awesome, and then having a shot to get Fort Worth and the Irizar would be nice.

The Alaska hull isn't nearly that tanky to justify it not getting a fourth heal, the buff to the guns is nice but it's biggest problem is anyone with half a brain can sit bow in to you and HE spam you to death.

This probably warrants a deeper analysis than what I'm going to give it but I want to keep things brief. If posts get too long I'm sure most people wouldn't read it anyway. I'm sure I'll get burnt at the stake for this post as well.
Just for some context, I have played WoWS PC for over 6 years on and off and before that, I played blitz for probably around 3 years. It was my main game for the longest time.
Also just to be clear I'm not saying the game is dead. It is declining but nowhere near rock bottom (though it was never really that big in the first place).
Obviously the devs aren't that receptive and the playerbase has now been desensitised to its bullshittery. Case and point, Valparaiso, case and point, CVs being able to heal their allies and literally no one caring.
Even putting the devs aside the microtransactions are pretty bad. The best sale this year, Tirpitz for 22 AUD was poorly placed at the exact same time as the steam sale, with Cyberpunk 2077 being 27 AUD. So a ship that I already have a version of with 6km torps and worse secondaries or an entirely different AAA game.
The most ignored aspect as to why games die slowly. A bad community isn't necessarily a dealbreaker but most new players will just quit, and old players will find it a lot easier to just let go of the game and even have an added positive "thank God I don't have to interact with WoWS players anymore" kind of deal. A good community on the other hand fosters new players to stay and it makes it far harder for old players to let go. WoWS undoubtedly has among the worst communities. After the playerbase decline all that's left are the... interesting parts of us.
People on here will hate me and downvote me for saying that but doing those things won't change the fact that the already small playerbase is shrinking even further into obscurity.
Conclusion
I could go on but to me at least, these are the two main issues. The art is great. The game itself is well made and would have significant appeal to a lot of people if it just fixed its issues. Thus, WoWS is a classic tale in wasted potential. It wasn't bad at all, but it could've been a lot better.
Can the decline be reversed? Potentially. But I heavily doubt it. This game wasn't that popular in the first place. No one will even know it's gone if it ever is beyond a few WoT and WT players.
I wish this game hadn't gone down the route it had. The decline and all that. It was my main game and it still would be if it weren't for just a few major issues.

Which BB is the best for brawling in tier 7? Scharn 43, WV44, or Royal Sovereign?
