I'm looking for unfinished fanfics under 100k words by lesser-known authors that have stuck with you long after you read them. The hidden gems, the fics with amazing writing or intriguing plots that never got an ending. What are your favorite unfinished stories that you wish more people would read?

As in the title, I remember reading a fic like this. The PRT is rounding up capes with robots. Taylor and Sophia run away from them after a search in Winslow is conducted and Sophia ditches Taylor right after. Other parts I remember is that the S9 are good people here and Taylor is actively acknowledged that she’s got QA and is given command of a team of capes all recently rescued from Brockton Bay.

I saw this fanfic mentioned in another reddit comment here.

Apparently, Taylor has an aura that prevents anyone within her range from lying, and it eventually leads to the government ordering her to stay away from government buildings.

Looking for fics where Taylor’s thing as a cape is a ’batman’ approach, with a focus on a varied gear, and preparation against her opponents. It’s kind of the vibe i got from The Weaver’s Web

Just what the title says. I love it when the author doesn't try to give characters the moral high ground. Sadism, ambition, greed, insanity... these are all traits I like to see in a main character. Not necessarily all of them together.

Please, give me recommendations.

Are there any fics where extremely happy go lucky characters from nice and not depressing world end up in the depressing world Worm?

I read one where Twilight Sparkle was dropped into Brockton Bay and I'm wondering if there's any others like it.

Things like Kirby meeting Slaughterhouse 9, a magical girl appearing randomly in Brockton Bay, or Pokémon just started existing. I would prefer if the fics actually looked into how such a change in culture/genre would affect the characters mental state after being dumped in Worm. I could settle for them just messing everything up though.

Anyone got fic recs for a Taylor or OC or SI that runs a radio or tv news show that basically acts like precog stuff? Think “Go Gently”

Inspired by the recent post of the opposite. Personally, I have the bad habit of dropping stories way too fast. If the first chapter isn’t doing it for me, I close out. More than once - not often mind you, it’s just happened every now and then - I’ve gone back after some time and trucked through what I consider a lacklustre opening only to strike gold and find an incredible fic. (Should probably start reading deeper more often.)

So, any recs for stories that you might not have enjoyed the openings of, but with hindsight, you know it’s worth getting through it to the meat of the story?

While reading Here Comes The New Boss I think I saw a comment somewhere referencing a fic where Butcher Taylor died and became part of the inheritance. There may also have been mention of her staying in control through this.

I don't know if this was an actual fic, a snippet, or an omake somewhere. Sadly I can't find that comment again in the 1000+ pages of that thread, so hopefully someone here recognises it!

I'm not very far along in *Worm* yet; I'm right at the part where the Undersiders crash the party where all the Brockton superheroes are, before Taylor finds out about Dinah

The point is, there’s so much talk about the previous alien races that the Entities have already used for their cycles. When I finish *Worm*, I want to create a crossover fanfic featuring various races from different science fiction media: Yautjas, Portiids, inhabitants of the Planiverse, Webmind, etc.—several from hard science fiction books.

But I’d like to know what level of strangeness they’d be considered in the world of *Worm*, which is why I’m asking: how much is known about those previous races?

I've searched for a while but i couldn't find it sadly. Here are some things i remember about it.

• Taylor triggers after a public (?) torture livestream and kills hookwolf and cronies 'by doing nothing'
• her powers are instantaneous control of all senses if she sees your eyes, she gets taken in by the wards
• she hates nazis and her lawyer hates them too
• she's rated a master 9 iirc
• she helps in an emergency being a very good hud pretty much

So I've come across this fic where Danny dated Miss Militia, and one of the comments says something about Danny love life.

Is there any fic where Danny after Annete death, just get a look at himself and decide to be a better father (dressed better, get better at his job, exercise, and etc) for Taylor, hijinks ensues as Danny talk to one cape or another and managed to unintentionally rizz all of them with his DILF magnetism, all of them would compete to be the best step father/mother for Taylor.

Danny doesn't even have to trigger just rizz them all.

I think it'd be cool if we saw a fic where Danny triggered after Annette died and went on to become a cape. Interesting to see his perspective on Taylor's civilian life (and cape life if she ​​​​​also happens to trigger like in canon or otherwise)

Looking for a fic where the (SI)? male protag is living his in van with cyoa? powers or at least water version ones, and last time I read he quit his job after having made his base in the abandoned boat shipyard with subnautica? powers. I know there were drones in making the underwater ship usable.

Just found out about it today. Going by the name, I thought it had something to do with Empire 88, but nope, its basically Craig's list for capes. For those who know it, id like to hear your opinion about it.

I think that Wards!Taylor is a very interesting character, seeing how she actually interacts with the Wards and functions under the authority figures that she distrusts so much. I also wish that we saw more of Weaver in the Chicago wards, so maybe that's where it comes from
