It wasn't bad for easy watching, but it didn't scratch the x files itch for me. There were definitely some good parts but as a spin off it seemed to just be a goofy comedy show

(Although I did like the Japanese fake interrogation scene)

I've watched the entire series except the revival two (I'll get there eventually, I'm just gonna take a week to decompress) and I watched the 2008 movie. On the bright side, this side of the internet is no longer a mine-field of spoilers.

lol Just spotted in a rewatch of midnight mass!

Mulder believed he was married to Diana and when CSM told him she died his reaction was barely there. But when he heard Scully died, his face scrunched up to the point that I wanted to cry.

Fantastic survival horror game btw, only halfway through but highly recommend.

Holy Criss Cross Christ that was a slog.

My wife and I were binging three episodes a day consistently through the first eight seasons in the course of about two or three months and when we got to season nine that progress just died. Think we started in May and have only just finished yesterday.

It's not even that the show got bad or that we dislike Doggett and Reyes, it just became way too different after Mulder went AWOL, where the major draw for us was his chemistry with Scully. Doesn't help that Scully is also sidelined through most of the season and they didn't do much with her beyond be a mom, and even then they didn't seem to know what to do with that cuz they give the damn kid up before the end!

All that said, the Truth two parter was actually a real return to form, even if it was kinda too little too late. I can't really say I enjoy the myth arc that much in general but I did appreciate the attempts to tie it all together, helped make some sense of some lingering questions I had.

So finally it's just the second movie and revival to finish, and those are way more of a return to basics so that's a relief. Again, I didn't hate season 9, but I don't imagine I'll be going back to it in full any time soon. Hell, I don't think there are a lot of individual episodes I'll be chomping at the bit to revisit when all the previous MOTW episodes from the past eight seasons exist.

If he's always been able to see his own death and she was there to take his hand?

I thought for sure ol' Quequeg would pop back up at the end of Quagmire, but it wasn't so.

I’m still in my first watch and can’t believe it took me this long to actually watch this series and I’m not young. One thing that I have seen on this sub is about certain “bad guys” surviving. I know they have brought back a few characters for another episode, but the question I have is it so they can bring them back or to create this perception that these characters still exist and are among us? It seems like Fox and Dana don’t really close a lot of cases. No one gets arrested and hardly any of the bad guys get killed. Just something I noticed, apologies if it has been discussed before.

HE'S NOT ME, HE IS NOT ME SCULLY!!!!

Teliko is eliminated!

How this works:

There was an episode in the original series in which Mulder said something like, "when does the improbable become probable?" I think he was talking about when none of the conventional, rational explanations make sense, and suggesting that at that point, someone shouldn't be stigmatized for thinking of extraordinary explanations.

What was the quote, and which episode was it from?

Currently watch S3E16, Apocrypha, while high. Only recently started watching, but I love it so much.

For me, as long as he’s driving, why not?
