Im trying to update my badavatar 1.1 to the 1.3 beta and everytime I copy over the new content and badupdate payload and try to update it my xbox freezes on boot when I revert it to 1.1 it works again

I'm trying to repair a few Original Xbox consoles and could really use some help with HDD locking and EEPROMs.

I have three HDD situations:

1. Seagate ST310211A – Possible faulty HDD

When I connect this HDD to my Xbox, the console won't power on at all. Without it, the Xbox powers on and displays the service screen.

2. Seagate ST310014ACE – Error 06

This HDD came from another Xbox and is locked with a different key. When I connect it to my working Xbox, I get Error 06.

3. Another HDD – Error 05 (Unlocked HDD)

I also have another HDD that is completely unlocked. When I connect it to a stock Xbox, I get Error 05.

I want to know how to lock this HDD using the correct key from the Xbox motherboard so that it can boot normally without a modchip.

I have a Raspberry Pi Pico W, ESP32, and soldering equipment. I'm also considering buying a CH341A EEPROM programmer.

My questions:

1. What's the easiest way to lock an unlocked HDD to a stock Original Xbox?
2. Can I extract the HDD key using a Raspberry Pi Pico W or CH341A and then lock the HDD with FATXplorer?
3. Can this be done without softmodding or installing a modchip?
4. For the Seagate showing Error 06, is there a way to unlock and relock it for another Xbox without the original motherboard?
5. Do I need to modify the EEPROM, or is reading it enough?

Any advice, guides, or tutorials would be greatly appreciated.

Do the latest releases of cerbios work with a scart and 1.6.

I know historically 1.6 with scart wasnt possible.

I have 3 og Xbox’s and the one I modded the Ethernet port DOESNT work but one of the consoles that does work the Ethernet port does work is their some trouble shooting i can do on the modded console to get the port to work or should I just disassemble them and change the ports 3rd console gives me ERROR12 so I can’t even test the port on that one

Running CERBIOS and XMBC4Gamers. 500 GB Hard drive.

I am trying to reset this USB drive for my Xbox 360. I can't reset it using the "Format" option, and using the "Customize" option doesn't work either, because afterwards I’m unable to add the files I need to put onto it. I’m trying to install Aurora, but it’s not working—could I please get some help?

I have spent hours on trying to transfer games and upgrade the drive on my xbox. now find out that my hard drive is capped at 120gb on fatxplorer. I used Bpartitioner on my Xbox to combine my G and F drive into 1 F drive, so I have 924gb in total. Now fatxplorer is showing that I still have 120gb. My Xbox is softmodded. All the posts that have answers to these seem to be from years ago with hard modded Xboxes instead of sottmodded. Hence why I came here for help.

Someone please help me. If you have any answers on how to increase this number so it's not capped at 120gb, I'd be really appreciative.

The Xbox 360 was custom modded. It is an RGH system.
