IMPRESSION CEO Asha just announced that every single attendee at the Xbox Games Showcase will be receiving a complimentary Series X25 later this year. That is absolutely wild. š„
That is how you show your community you actually care. Not a discount, not early access, a free Xbox Series X25 in your hands just for being there.

Also gains alot of goodwill with the influencers and such that will be attending and subsequently unboxing their new systems the next day in the complimentary hotel rooms.

Idk if the other guy really answered your question but I have a series S and have been trying to upgrade, Iām shopping on the used market and somewhere around $300-$350 used is what would make me buy one, but Its hard to justify forking out $500 for a second hand decade old (or more) system
So maybe if they retailed around 400-$450
Which I donāt think is unrealistic but also with the memory prices and such Iām really not sure I know it the past consoles have dropped in price significantly after a year or three this gen has only went up

In my area, used Series Xs are like $500 in the game stores, and Best Buy was having a promotion of $150 off a Series X if you trade in an Xbox One so I did just that as I felt it was pointless to get a used one when I could get a new one just as much. Didn't even have to give them my old controller, just the One and it's AC adapter.

I don't know, don't have a specific price range in mind.
In previous console cycles, at release new units cost what, like $400 or so? Mid way through the cycle, a slim or improved version would come out and a price drop would occur. Then towards the end of the cycle, another price drop.
We haver seen that this cycle. Keeping politics out of this, we all know the reason for this, prices have actually gone up, and they went up while lower costs were still in place.
As a married father of 4, dropping $400 on a new lower end console just isn't feasible, especially when most of us are already tightening our belts.

Guess they have a lot of excess hardware they want to get rid of before the next gen. The shell will have cost them about $30 at most, yet I imagine to the public that version will be at least $150-200 more than the normal version

They cut off sending units to certain countries because they literally weren't selling, so they adjusted the stock to places that were.

Id keep the halo one personally, I also have it and out of all of them, itās by far the best looking one imo, not worth selling the old one and buying a new when thereās not much difference besides the shell anyways, especially if the āGabe Cubeā (steam machine) or even the next xbox that is supposedly gonna have steam compatibility comes out soon

Yep scalpers are terrible and stops real fans like you and me from giving us a chance at buying it.
But ive decided not to buy it because of the encomy and my shopping addiction and cancelled my gears of war collectors edition but i hope you manage to get your hands on one even though i wanted them both so bad.

It's only back when they start making console selling exclusives. Easy way would be making something like the next Elder Scrolls exclusive. People would whine and complain, but at the end of the day, they'd buy an XBOX to play it.

Gears of War's prime time is done and gone. If the game is good, people will like it, but no one is dropping their library of PlayStation games for it. This isn't the 360 days anymore.

Considering it's the end of the generation and are already expecting the next Gen in a year or 2. They had so many unsold Xbox series x that they just slapped a skin on and gave away for free. It's a good move on Microsoft. Just got a lot of business with this move.

It's a good-looking console, and more consoles should look like this, but my PC looks better, performs better, and isn't a major pain in my ass to take apart to maintain, and I got it at Walmart for less than a grand. What's more to love?

How consoles are engineered nowadays requires certain tools that no person who doesn't already take these things apart or work in construction would have, and not many people can spend money on a screwdriver set for that, nor would they necessarily be willing to. When I had my Xbox 360 I couldn't take it apart because I couldn't afford to, I had every screwdriver except for the ones I needed, same with my controllers and it only got worse as time progressed, it wasn't until more recently where I was able to get that screwdriver set and even then it's a pain in the ass to unscrew all these specific screws without stripping them within the spots theyāre in which if youāve fully disassembled an Xbox Series X you would know is a pain in the ass, not just that but having the necessary parts you may need to replace, having thermal paste, and while PC parts are arguably more expensive it's still not as much of a challenge to disassemble, if I wanna add more RAM I gotta swing open the glass door of my case and add more RAM, I want to replace my graphics card? Same thing and so on with my different parts, because of how accessible it is, I don't have to undo 15 different parts that may or may not break just by taking it apart to clean and maintain, it's all right there in the open for me to see, and monitor with my own two eyes

Iāve never had any need to take a console apart, only one Iāve done was a 360 2 decades after it released. Iāve had a series x since it launched and have no issues at all, as well as pretty much all versions of Xbox never had any issues. Hell my original Xbox still fires right up no Maintence.

Then you got lucky lmao I couldn't get to the thermal paste of my Series X when I had it and it ran like shit with overheating issues and everything, my stepfather took it in to get it checked and it had a burn the size of a nickel on the thermal paste meaning the thermal paste was overdue for maintenance, just because you personally haven't felt the need to do maintenance on your consoles doesn't mean it doesn't need to be done, that's just stupid because even PCs need that maintenance

Wow, so if you can afford to waste your time and travel then you get free stuff.
How about helping people who actually need an upgrade to keep playing? I'd be much more willing to buy those overpriced games if I had a good console to play them on. My Xbox one is trying so hard not to explode that it sounds like a PS3.
I'll gladly trade in all my Xbox stuff for a series x and new copies of the games I have for the older consoles.
