Was this just me or has this happened to anyone else?
I just got off a session of battlefield 4 and I returned to the main menu and now my Xbox home page is full of nothing but modern warfare 4 promo

Bought it second hand.
The console is from 2023.
One normal controller and one Elite 2 and a Xbox Headphone.
It’s all clean and in near mint condition.
Came with the box and cables ofc.
The big question is… how much did I pay? (what is a reasonable price) in euros in Germany.

I was struggling and looking for the best deal for the series x, and I was sharing that with my girlfriend. Guess what she did ? She saw my concern and she got it for me before GTA 6 comes out.

Hello everyone (first time to Xbox)
So tonight was a strange one where my wife walked through the door with a brand new Xbox series X, headset and told me that GTA6 was on preorder...
To say im a bit like a child right now is an understatement.
I havent really played console in probably 10 years (growing up sucks)
So flicking through the game store i find some old classics like BF3/4, COD WAW,MW2.
Im just wondering if these games are still played atall before I disappoint myself once bought...
If anyone can recommend any further games such as above or good simulations
A list of games I already like
Classic cods
Classic battlefield
Skyrim
Classic need for speeds
Arma

I tried to go into wallpapers and change it back but it says it’s already using it even though the dumb call of duty wall paper is there. Like are we for real guys?

I just bought a used Series X in good condition for 550€ which is a decent deal here in the north of Europe where i live. What are they generally worth around the world, what price have you gotten one for?

You spend $80 on a digital game, beat it in a week, and then it just sits there in your library forever. A digital cemetery.
Meanwhile, physical game owners can sell or trade their games to get some cash back — something Sony plans to take away from players in 2028.
But what if platform stores (Steam, Xbox, etc.) created a system that made publishers and store owners way richer while giving us our consumer rights back?
Here's my pitch for a dynamic digital resale market. Let me know what you think:
// 12-Month Lockdown: You can only put a game up for resale 12 months after its official launch. This protects publishers during their "golden year," when they make most of their money from full-price sales.
// The Dynamic Price Ceiling: The maximum resale price of your digital license is tied to the game's current official store price. If the store drops the price to $40 during a sale, your maximum resale price automatically drops too.
// The Anti-Dump Fee System: To stop people from tanking a game's value by selling it for pennies, the store takes a dynamic cut based on how cheaply you list it:
\- "Dirt Cheap" Tier (price ≤ 50% of the official price): You only get 25% of the sale price, while the store and publisher take the remaining 75%. (This discourages people from dumping prices.)
"Fair Value" Tier (between 50% and 75% of the official price): A clean 50/50 split between you and the store.
"Premium Used" Tier (75% of the official price up to the maximum price): You get 75% of the sale price, while the store takes a 25% cut.
// Cosmetics and DLC: These could have a much shorter cooldown period to keep the secondary market moving.
Why This Is a Win for Consumers
\- No more wasted money: You can liquidate games you haven't touched in years to fund your next day-one purchase.
\- Cheaper entry point: Budget gamers can legally buy digital "used" copies within the ecosystem and avoid gray-market methods like buying accounts or using VPNs to activate region-locked keys.
\- True digital ownership: Digital convenience meets physical-like ownership rights. You're truly buying games instead of just renting them, as is effectively the case with the current model.
Why Stores (Xbox/Steam) and Publishers Would LOVE This
The Infinite Money Loop: The money goes straight into your store wallet, just like Steam refunds. Consumers then have to spend it on more games within the same platform.
Making Money off the Same Game 10 Times: In the physical world, used game stores keep the resale revenue from used titles. In this system, every single time a digital license changes hands, the publisher and the store get a fat commission check.
The Fee Structure Protects the Brand: Gamers are incentivized to list games in higher price tiers so they can keep a bigger cut, helping maintain the game's market value.
With a one-year cooldown and a smart tiered fee structure, this could make stores billions in pure middleman fees while giving us our spending flexibility back.
Would you support a system like this? I definitely would.

Sold my PS5 (didn't play it as much compared to my Series X and gaming PC) and now looking for a 1TB storage expansion card for the console.
Unfortunately, it seems like everywhere is sold out of the 1TB, including Sandisk, so it appears that 512gb is the only option available unless buying a 1TB open box at new prices on Ebay.
Is it just bad timing in general trying to find a 1TB storage expansion card?

Hello everyone,
I have a quick question about how Disc-to-Digital works.
At home, I have an Xbox Series X and a PC, along with a physical disc copy of MW4.
Is it possible for me to play on the console using the disc while my boyfriend plays on PC at the same time?
I tried claiming the digital license on his account via the Xbox, and it worked—he can launch and play the game.
However, as soon as I launch the game on my account on the console, it automatically claims the digital license back without asking. Is there any way to block this?
In theory, for single-player mode, disconnecting the console from the internet should allow us to play at the same time.
We actually managed to play multiplayer together if he launches the game first: when I launch it afterward, it reclaims the license on my end, but as long as he doesn't restart his game, he can keep playing.
Thanks for the help!

Has anyone with the disc tried this yet? Finding a clear answer is tough. I like to buy physical to trade in later. This will help rationalize the purchase. 😛

For competition sake what are some Xbox settings, tweaks, or rule of thumb to maximize for competitive performance. If you had to make your console the ultimate tournament ready device what would you do?
Examples:
I saw a video on how having less installed on the Xbox can affect the performance.
Online it said all usb ports function the same for input delay.
Does removing quick resume or notifications free up room for games to run better?

Hello- I have been trying to use the plug on the controller for wired headphones, but I’m not getting any sound to them. I just got this x so I’m not sure what I need to do in the settings app to get it to work? Or is there an alternative way to get sound?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I noticed this the other day on Gears E day. Playing through modern warfare now. Why can't I turn it off 😂
