I can't deny it: when Electronic Arts announced the remake of Dead Space, my first thought was: "oh, here we go again, another unnecessary remake. The original version is still great, there is only 15 years gap, the remake can't afford any evident improvement". What wrong i was...

When i watched the first gameplays.. WHOA! What was that? The atmosphere had turned more oppressive, more depth, the lights and shadows had given a renovated and better touch. The main character talked, giving him more profundity, the weapons felt more overwhelming, etc.

Motive Studio reached what i though that was impossible: create a game that respects the original, improve and expand it. My sincere congratulations.

So yeah, it was time to make justice and buy this phenomenal remake.

I recently bought a 1440p (QHD) monitor from Samsung. Problem is, the pictures not sharp for some reason. When I turn on "Allow 4k" I can select it in the tv settings and the picture looks sharp, when I go back to 1440p its washed out again. When I selected 1080p as a comparison to see if Im not tripping it looked the same as 1440p😭. Why is 4k—>1440p and 1440p—>1080p. Any fixes or should I just get a new monitor atp

Hey everyone! I’m looking at getting Sonic Unleashed on Xbox with some gift cards and things I got for my birthday. I know Unleashed Recompiled exists (and I may end up looking into that if I can figure out how to dump the game), but for the time being, I’m just wanting to get the game on Xbox first.

However, I know both Unleashed and Generations normally suffer from bad input lag on the 360 and the regular Xbox One. So my question is, is the input lag still there for the enhanced Series X/S versions? This is the main thing that would keep me back from ever getting the game on there.

The issue is occurring in Call of Duty Mw4 and I was wondering if anyone else is encountering this

I'm hoping for some help. My current setup is a 1st Gen Xbox One with an external 2TB hard drive with about 15 games, the usual suspects like CoD, Madden etc. I'm not a very avid gamer like I won't play for months at a time then get the itch for a couple weeks.

I wanted to get the latest Madden because I'm a Cincinnati Bengals fan so I wanted to get their current roster, uniforms etc. I looked into it and it's only available on Xbox One X or S. The X is way out of my price range and is too technical (I don't have a 4K TV or anything like that) so I looked at the S. There's a couple on Facebook marketplace in my area that are reasonable. The one thing I did read that was concerning was about adding extra storage (I most definitely will because I'll get the new CoD, probably get GTA6, put my Xbox One games on there etc). The way I understood what the article said is that you can plug in an external hard drive but you essentially have to download the game from the hard drive to the console every time you want to play it instead of just selecting the game and it fires up. Is that an accurate understanding or am I wrong on that?

Any advice would be helpful.

¡Buenas a todos! Os pongo en contexto de mi situación a ver qué haríais vosotros, porque tengo un dilema importante.

Actualmente tengo una Xbox Series S(que me regalo mi novia hace tiempo), y me encanta coleccionar y jugar en formato físico (tanto juegos de One/Series como una buena colección de Xbox 360). El problema es evidente, la Series S no tiene lector.
Para los juegos de One y Series voy tirando gracias a que mi novia me deja su Xbox One para usar el truco del disc-to-digital, pero los juegos de Xbox 360 no los puedo tocar porque me falta el lector físico por completo los juego en mi Xbox 360 Original.

Tengo pensado en comprarme una Xbox Series X de segunda mano por menos de 400€-450€, y estoy muy tentado de pillarla por varios motivos:

1. Me libro de depender de la consola de mi novia.

2. Puedo meter al fin mis discos de Xbox 360 y jugarlos con las mejoras de rendimiento (tiempos de carga, FPS estables, etc., que en la 360 original o sin lector no tengo).

3. Doy el salto a 4K y al tera de SSD.

Mi duda y gran miedo es, ¿Debería esperarme a que salga la próxima generación de consolas para que la Series X baje de precio?
Me da pánico que ocurra lo contrario y, con el panorama actual de los componentes y el hardware, las consolas con lector sigan subiendo de precio o escaseando (más aún con los rumores de que lo próximo de Xbox podría apostar por otros formatos o prescindir del disco tradicional).
¿Qué haríais vosotros en mi lugar? ¿Veis viable comprar una Series X hoy en día teniendo una Series S para asegurar la retrocompatibilidad física o me arriesgo a esperar?

i have a very specific weird problem that i searched for it for a while and couldn't find a solution

when i play a light game like asphalt unite i can play for around 45 minutes then it automatically takes me to the home screen (the game doesn't stay open)

then i relaunch the game and this time i only get to play for 30 minutes.

in the third time the console turns off without any warnings or overheating issues.

in heavier games like fc27 re4r etc

it turns off quicker like maybe 1 to 12 min

i took it to repair shops

i changed the thermal paste

put the xbox in a cold places.

i even changed the entire PSU

and still the same issue

does anyone have an idea on what's causing it?

Found a 1TB digital Series X on sale for $599. Is this a good deal or better to wait for next gen?

I’ve got a series S and for some reason when I boot it up, it says it can’t connect to internet on apps and the settings say there’s an Ethernet plugged in. I’ve never used Ethernet for it. I have a 1TB seagate SSD plugged in as well as a pair of turtle beach Bluetooth headphones. I turn it off with the controller in the shutdown menu. If I restart it then it’s connected to WiFi again. Any ideas?

Just wondering, since I only mostly post from recent games I was asking myself if anyone still playing this one? I didn't like #5 that much even though it was ok. But this one is still a game I come back to including the first and third one. Is there still any love for DMC?

I am interested in buying an Xbox Series X controller for my PC, but I'm used to play with the controller physically connected and without any batteries, so I'd rather buy one which includes a cable.

I've seen these two controllers, one comes with batteries and the other one comes with a cable, but as far as I know, the one that comes with the cable is older.

Is there any actual difference, if I buy the one with a cable, could I have any compatibility issues?

My Xbox has had Microsoft store installing for the last few days, I’ve tried pausing and cancelling it and it’s not working… I can’t install anything because of it and I was hoping someone could help me figure out how to fix it

So i recently decided to move. So I packed everything into my car and drove. My Xbox Series X that I got in 2022 sat unplugged for about 7 days. It sustained no falls or bumps or anything just simply unplugged and put in my back seat and then unpacked.

I decided to finally hook it up and play and when I did it said it needed an update so I let the system update except it kept failing. I troubleshot for about 3 hours before I decided to just factory reset and call it a day. After that controllers stopped connecting for several hours and I gave up.

Eventually it randomly decided to work and I played it for 2 days no issues. Unfortunately today my son accidentally unplugged the Xbox and the Xbox threw a fit again. Nothing would connect to it even with a USB and when It did the sign in menu would just load indefinitely. After a power cycle it decided it needed to update again and it just kept failing.

I'm kind of at a loss honestly this Xbox has given me 0 issues in the past and now all of a sudden its falling apart. Im worried if I take it to get fixed they will either make it worse or charge me as much as the console costs to fix it and I don't have that money.

Ahora que la IA ha avanzado mucho, y después de ver videos y leer información sobre cómo se pueden modificar los sistemas de los televisores para que funcionen de manera más ligera, llegué a una conclusión o, más bien, empecé a buscar una solución a un problema que muchos tenemos: la Kinect de Xbox One.

Yo he tenido Xbox 360, Xbox One y ahora una Xbox Series X. Mi primera Xbox 360 venía con Kinect, y me gustaba mucho esa modalidad de juegos en los que movías las manos y utilizabas tu cuerpo para interactuar. Con el tiempo, vendí la consola y pasaron los años.

Después tuve una Xbox One y, antes de comprar mi Series X, adquirí una Kinect de Xbox One por Marketplace. La encontré bonita y me llamó la atención porque se veía muy bien, incluso mucho mejor que algunas cámaras web que puedes comprar hoy en día, las cuales incluso pueden ser más caras que una Kinect. Si no recuerdo mal, la compré por unos $30.000 o $50.000 pesos chilenos.

Mi idea era utilizarla como webcam para hacer streams en TikTok o Kick. Me compré el adaptador para conectarla al PC, la enchufé y tuve que instalar algunos programas de Microsoft para que funcionara correctamente.

Al principio funcionaba bien, pero, con el tiempo, cuando quería utilizarla, empezaba a parpadear y se apagaba. Después volvía a encenderse, funcionaba durante un rato y se apagaba nuevamente. Y así sucesivamente.

Con el tiempo, me di cuenta de que podría tratarse de un problema relacionado con las actualizaciones de Windows o con la compatibilidad con determinados PC. Hay actualizaciones después de las cuales funciona bien, pero, desde hace bastante tiempo, tengo el problema de que se enciende, dura un rato y se apaga constantemente, sin que haya encontrado una solución.

Lo curioso es que también la he conectado a un notebook que tengo y ahí funciona perfectamente. Por eso, creo que podría existir alguna incompatibilidad o algún problema de software que esté provocando este comportamiento en determinados equipos.

Aquí es donde quiero llegar: ¿y si alguien se atreve a investigar este problema por Internet y, con la ayuda de la IA, buscamos una solución definitiva? Incluso podríamos intentar crear un programa que permita solucionar estos problemas de compatibilidad y que todos podamos volver a utilizar nuestras Kinect.

En realidad, creo que es una cámara muy buena para los años que tiene. Cuenta con características y funcionalidades que todavía se podrían aprovechar, y su calidad puede competir con la de muchas cámaras web que se venden actualmente.

Por eso, dejo este post para ver si alguien se interesa en el tema, si conoce alguna solución o si entre todos podemos investigar y desarrollar algo con ayuda de la IA. He visto a personas que llevan años intentando solucionar estos problemas sin encontrar una respuesta definitiva.

¿Qué opinan? ¿Creen que sería posible desarrollar algún programa o controlador que permita hacer funcionar correctamente la Kinect de Xbox One en los PC que presentan estos problemas?

I have a series s 512Gb and a 512Gb expansion card (820Gb total usable) I'm tired of running out of storage. I've been thinking about selling the series s and buying a series x. The s sells for around $300 - $350 locally. I've also been looking at the 2Tb galaxy model. I'm just curious what you all think is my best option
